Integration with various tools enhances debugging effectiveness and user experience

What is our primary use case?

We are a services company, and we use Microsoft Visual Studio for .NET development, application development, and related tasks.

What is most valuable?

I find Microsoft Visual Studio to be a good development environment. Its integration with SQL and features like check-in, check-out, and integration with Visual SourceSafe and now the Azure counterpart are very effective for debugging applications.

What needs improvement?

The integration of automation capabilities, such as code auto-generation, would be beneficial. Copilot integration and other automation tools would definitely increase productivity.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Microsoft Visual Studio since its inception, which is more than ten years.

I am not directly involved with the pricing since our company does bulk purchases. Generally, we are pretty happy with Microsoft products.

Basically everything. It's a useful integrated development environment.

For the last 10 to 20 years, I've been using various versions of Microsoft Visual Studio.

I am working with the latest version.

Microsoft Visual Studio is a stable solution.

Scalability does not apply to the solution.

It's good. Again, I'm using the community edition, which is the free version. It's an open-source, free version. It lacks support because I am not paying anything. I'm getting help from various public forums and community websites.

I am familiar with Google Chrome, Gmail, and Visual Studio. I now own a small company that does some development. I am a one-man operation.

WPF is helpful for rendering user interface, and there is a lot of information on the web about it

I am a DevOps engineer. I work from Ecuador for clients around LatAm, principally banks. I work with the banks that use DevOps continuous integration and continuous deployment. I also work with Visual Studio.

What is most valuable?

Windows Presentation Foundation or WPF is valuable. It's a tool to give clients a user interface for Windows applications. The summary for mobile applications is also very useful.

What needs improvement?

You need a lot of RAM to run the applications with Visual Studio and Unity. For example, if you want to do work on a game, you need a lot of resources or RAM for Visual Studio and Unity.

There could be some features related to Azure DevOps. There could be some features for YAML pipelines in Visual Studio.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using this solution for 14 years.

How are customer service and support?

We can find a lot of information on the internet when we have any issues.

What other advice do I have?

I would rate it a 10 out of 10.
