Business Analyst/Scrum Master at a government with 1,001-5,000 employees
Collaboration and remote teamwork have significantly improved
Pros and Cons
- "I have definitely seen return on investment with Miro, not necessarily in cost-wise terms, but in terms of time savings and connectivity, as well as collaboration; it has been very beneficial."
What is our primary use case?
I am a Scrum Master, so I work with Miro to collaborate with my team, as well as have the usual Scrum ceremonies and workshops.
The features or capabilities of Miro I have found the most valuable so far are presentation mode, timer, the usual posted notes, and being able to insert images from the internet.
It is important for me and my use cases because my team works in a hybrid environment, so it's not always that we are all together in a room; it's very useful to use Miro online, to collaborate.
I find indispensable for remote team collaboration the posted notes, which we use a lot for retrospectives and sharing thoughts and sentiments.
For brainstorming sessions, I find using templates that are offered by Miro itself very useful, as well as sharing thoughts using Post-its, and breakout rooms; I haven't been able to access breakout rooms, but I have participated in breakout rooms myself, and they are very effective.

What needs improvement?
One improvement that might enhance my experience with Miro is the zooming in and out feature; when you zoom out, you may find that other sections or parts in the board become a lot smaller, so they're not evenly zoomed in or out, which is my experience.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Miro for the last five years.

What other advice do I have?
I am an end-user of this tool, not an integrator, reseller, or consultant.
I am not sure which version of Miro I am currently working with; I just know updates happen regularly.
Our Service Management team supports the maintenance of Miro, and I usually get one person if I have an issue, so it's quite easy to maintain.
I haven't used any documentation or manuals regarding Miro because I find it quite intuitive.

Using the SCRUM methodology, we use Miro to co-create content for software development and meetings, such as reviews and retrospectives.
What is most valuable?
The principal feature of the platform is the capability of co-creating content and sharing invites with all people in the organization and outside. It makes it very easy to manage meetings, and the outcomes are excellent.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
We used a Microsoft Paint Brush and White Board. We switched to Miro for its co-creation feature.

There is a learning curve for the initial setup process.
What was our ROI?
The product generates a return on investment by saving 50% of our time.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The product costs approximately $300 per user.
What other advice do I have?
Miro significantly enhances brainstorming sessions. It becomes easy for team members to express their feelings about the project when they want to draw, write, and explain their ideas.
I rate it an eight out of ten.

Collaborative boards have streamlined sprint retrospectives and made presentation planning efficient
What is our primary use case?
My main use case for Miro Business - Enterprise is to facilitate our retrospectives and coordinate on presentations.
A specific example of how I've used Miro Business - Enterprise for a retrospective is that it is convenient being able to see all of the different cards our retrospective team members might input, including the sticky notes and other elements.
I do not have anything else to add about how I'm using Miro Business - Enterprise or any other ways my team collaborates on it.
What is most valuable?
The best features Miro Business - Enterprise offers is that you can have several boards.
Having several boards does help my team organize different projects or topics, though the organization is somewhat random, and we might need it when we prepare for a presentation or if we have a retrospective at the end of every sprint.
Miro Business - Enterprise has positively impacted my organization because we are able to have a platform to coordinate for retrospectives. This change has made meetings much more efficient because everything is on the board, people know what to do, people know how to reflect, and it is very convenient the way we have our retrospective set up on the board.
What needs improvement?
I wish Miro Business - Enterprise had dark mode.
Besides dark mode, there is no other change or addition I would like to see. The main improvement on my mind is dark mode.
