Encourages collaboration with our clients, and reactions help to prioritize ideas, but automation to make things more consistent would be helpful
This is a feature-rich product and I would like to see more opportunities for teaching new users how to learn and use the breadth of the platform. Ideally, it would be nice if there were a set of guidelines to explain what it is capable of. I know that there are videos online, and I've watched a few. But, I know that when I first started, just playing around, there were things I didn't discover that I could do until much later. This is why I get surprised by certain integrations I learn that they have. It would have been great to know right from the start, with a guided tutorial on how to use the various options. As it is now, we have invested internally in the educational resources needed to learn how to use it. A tool that can be very self-serving in that way, and enable its users to use it to the breadth of what it is capable of doing, is always a great thing. Whatever they can do to help make the visual look a little cleaner would be great because it can get a bit messy, or inconsistent. If there were automations to do things like making sure that elements are of the same size and correct alignment, it would help to make the visual more presentable. This is important because, at the end of what you create, it can have a very positive impact on what is ultimately shared with the client.

Reduced cycle times and improved planning visibility have transformed our collaboration
The best features I appreciate about Miro Business - Enterprise are SSO, unlimited guest access, and advanced project capabilities. It is enterprise-grade, secured, and compliant with SOC 2, ISO 27001, ISO 42001, and GDPR alignment. It is based on a zero trust security model, ensuring that the data we provide remains secure and safe, as we are using it for professional and organizational purposes. The domain control, data residency options, CM integrations, shared policies, and audit logs are additional benefits. It offers a good organization-wide setting for roles, workplaces, integration for external sharing, and instant provisioning for automated user lifecycle management. My favorite feature is Infinite Canvas, which gives a shared space for planning PI and retrospectives, making visible who is working on what.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The products in the suite easily convey processes to people."
"It's easy to collaborate and it's easy to share amongst various team members. I myself am a product designer, and I found that in the past, as a project designer it's hard to work with engineers in terms of finding a product that satisfies what I need and want to do with the project designer and what they need and want as engineers. This tool is a good combination of both, and I feel like it's super easy to use. It makes a lot of sense. It's simple enough, but also has enough complicated features to make it what we want it to be."
"The whole reason why I use Lucidspark and Lucidchart is because of the way that I collaborate with other people, e.g., if I send somebody a document that it is more difficult to use because I have to convert everything to a PDF. With Lucidspark, I can give them a link. They can open it up, then they can move things around. That is very helpful. That is one of the reasons why I like using it. It's kind of like Basecamp with art."
"The most valuable feature is the live, interactive whiteboarding. For brainstorming high-level ideas and concepts it's like Visio but much better, because it's online. Collaboration for process is much easier."
"Lucidspark has made us very productive because it was very easy to make the changes once we had our brainstorming session."
"I found the whiteboard very customizable. You can create different stages of a flow chart, for example. You can play around with a lot of variables."
"For example, we were having a discussion on how our product would work and what really helped was when I put together a timeline view of the user's journey with our product, which immediately gave us perspective and we were able to pivot our meeting around that timeline discussion."
"How easy it is to use is the best feature."
"I have definitely seen return on investment with Miro, not necessarily in cost-wise terms, but in terms of time savings and connectivity, as well as collaboration; it has been very beneficial."
"It is a versatile tool suitable for various tasks, including process modeling."
"Miro Business - Enterprise has been a game changer for the organization in terms of collaboration between teams and has provided a strong return on investment."
"Integrations with so many other tools make this platform highly useful."
"Miro Business - Enterprise has positively impacted my organization because we are able to have a platform to coordinate for retrospectives, which has made meetings much more efficient because everything is on the board, people know what to do, people know how to reflect, and it is very convenient the way we have our retrospective set up on the board."
"Miro's flexibility is a main feature. It provides boards where I can put whatever is needed without limits."
"The solution's UI is very user-friendly, and it is not that hard to define the shapes you are looking for or to import them."
"As a consultant managing multiple projects, I find Miro's collaboration features highly beneficial."

Cons

"It has not affected the productivity of our working and brainstorming sessions too much."
"I hope that one of the updates will be a zoom-in/zoom-out function that's a little different than what they currently have, just to make it flow better when you're trying to move in and out of the board. I know they're working on it and that would be great, once they get that together."
"They have a grid system for snapping too, and they've done a lot to try to line things up so that the lines don't squiggle when you draw a line between one item and another. Everything has to be lined up. Everything has to be 90 degrees exact. But a lot of other people on the team just throw something together really quickly and the lines are not straight. And so it would be nice to have some feature that eliminates that problem."
"There's a little bit of latency with the collaboration bit. Overall it's not quite as fast as Google docs, however, it's really close."
"Depending on how much Lucidspark wants to emulate a true whiteboard experience, there could be other ways to do things. For instance, we have to create the container when we do it. In a typical sort of whiteboard situation, it could be helpful if there were templated containers, like a parking lot, where someone could just click, then it would show up. Most people with a whiteboard process have something like this, but we do it ourselves."
"The user experience of having them all have to set up a free account to join me in a workspace is a bit cumbersome."
"There might be a way to do this in Lucidspark, but if there were a way to leave comments for internal collaborators, that would be good. Let's say we were brainstorming something. It would be helpful to have comments that we could see, but if we were to share a view with someone else, they wouldn't see those behind-the-scenes comments."
"The one other significant recommendation is because I do work with folks outside of my organization quite regularly. The user experience of having them all have to set up a free account to join me in a workspace is a bit cumbersome. I really would love it if there was a Visitor link that would allow contributors who don't have free logins to join and participate."
"It should have a desktop version."
"I don't see the need to have updates in the product every other month or every other day."
"The solution could be available on mobile."
"There are no major problems with Miro Business - Enterprise. However, the export quality is generally strong, but advanced export formats, print control, and layout options could be improved for user benefit."
"Maybe at some point, Miro should be able to use AI to provide analysis from the brainstorming sessions or files fed into it."
"I would like to see enhancements in Miro, especially when working with tables like Excel."
"The product subscription is very expensive. The pricing could be better."
"When I imported an image to Miro, my friend saw it differently from what I saw when I changed the size of it."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I know that to get 10 seats for Spark is $2000 a year, which struck me as a little high."
"The pricing is in line with everything else out there, and you get what you pay for."
"It is not cost-prohibitive. It is well worth it, but we are also a small team. We are definitely planning on having it as part of our onboarding for everyone, but I haven't looked at the pricing for an enterprise level or large set of employees."
"I was using the web version. I don't know what I signed up for, but I don't think I paid anything. It was just free."
"It's a very reasonable $8 a month. That makes it really accessible and helps it fill a pretty significant need for virtual collaboration. Just about every leadership team member that I've talked to said, 'Oh, well, that's cheap, just go buy it.'"
"The licensing is a fair price. We mainly have single users. We chose not to do the team user because of the cost. We didn't see a need for that at this point. We have talked to Lucidchart and Lucidspark salesmen often about that."
"I personally had a hard time getting the licenses sorted out. In the organizational license, the whole process took a lot of time. Personally, I feel that the licensing could be done much better on that front."
"There is room for improvement in terms of the cost. It should all be bundled together. It's becoming like a Microsoft, where you have to buy all the different version features separately. It should just all be bundled with one price."
"The product costs approximately $300 per user."
"The product's price is low. Monthly and yearly subscriptions are available when it comes to the licensing part of the product."
"The initial cost of Miro was a bit high for me as a small company. However, considering its many benefits and the number of projects I have, it's reasonable and worth the investment."
