What do I think about the stability of the solution?
If we are using less CPU, and less RAM, then obviously the website will be alright. If we have some extra load or extra users, then we need to take care of it, but other than that, the site file goes down.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
There are around two hundred and fifty of us using Plesk.
How are customer service and support?
Technical support was excellent. They resolved my issue for me.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup is straightforward and easy for beginners or experts.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The price of Plesk is reasonable compared to the competition and that is why the management went with using Plesk.
What other advice do I have?
I can give a recommendation and say, "Go for it," and, "Try to learn how a server works." Because it is completely simple and good for a new user. If you are not really very expert, then that is okay. That will work for you. I would rate Plesk a nine out of ten.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
Public Cloud

Senior System Engineer at VIPoint Solutions Private Limited
User-friendly with good UI and good documentation
Pros and Cons
- "They have a very good UI."
- "If you are not savvy, there should be an option where the company can add cushions to assist. For example, I should be able to find suggestion options or frequently asked questions easily to help me move forward."
What is our primary use case?
Plesk is an interface for managing your hosting platform. If you have a server and you want to manage it, not virtually, not using the backend, then you use Plesk. It is a front-end interface for managing your servers, website, et cetera.
How has it helped my organization?
If I have a website on my server and I have a Plesk interface, and I want to set up an SSL for my server, like a website, I can use Plesk. Plesk allows me to set up the SSL while not using any commands. You'll have interfaces, like options, setting up the SSL, et cetera, and you can copy the keys there and then upload the key and get the SSL.
You can access the file manager as well.
What is most valuable?
The user-friendliness is good.
They have a very good UI.
If you are technical, the initial setup can be easy. There is good documentation.
The solution is mostly stable.
What needs improvement?
If you are not savvy, there should be an option where the company can add cushions to assist. For example, I should be able to find suggestion options or frequently asked questions easily to help me move forward. That option should be there.
If I take a learner, a newbie for Plesk, or if I'm a user, as a consumer, and I may want to add some new features, there should be an option where Plesk can understand what the customer wants and put it in their development pipeline so they can continuously improve. That option to communicate directly to Plesk should be there.
The solution can scale.
For how long have I used the solution?
I've been using the solution for four years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I have faced many problems with installing PHP and extensions. Otherwise, the stability is good, and it's a good product.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
The ability to scale is somewhere in the middle.
I have experienced some issues with Plesk while installing PHP - not versions or extensions. While installing the PHP extensions, I faced some issues with Plesk. So The scalability is low based on that experience.
I'm not sure how many people are using the solution. It's likely over 1,000 people.
How are customer service and support?
I've never dealt with technical support in the past.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I was using cPanel and InterWorx as well.
I was working for the hosting companies, so there were options for the UI. The company was providing cPanel, Plesk, and InterWorx. I was getting clients who were using Plesk, cPanel, and InterWorx and have experience accessing them and other interfaces.
How was the initial setup?
For a tech-savvy person, it will be easy to set up the product. If you have a set of manuals or instructions, it will be easy, even for a new person. For a new person with no knowledge, documentation, or help, it will be difficult.
I'm not sure how long it takes to deploy the solution.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
I'm not sure of the exact pricing of the solution.
What other advice do I have?
I'm an end-user. I was working as a system engineer, so I was dealing with the hosting platforms where the clients were using Plesk. I was helping them to troubleshoot the issues, set up Plesk, and configure things.
We're using Plesk Obsidian; I'm not aware of the version. Likely, I'm using the latest version. The interface changed. Before, I was using the older interface, and the UI is different now.
People should use Plesk. When it comes to comparing it to other interfaces and hosting interfaces, Plesk has more features, and the UI is better. I have only a problem with the PHP extensions. Otherwise, it is very good.
I'd rate the solution eight out of ten.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
On-premises
