Consolidated cloud security has reduced manual work and has automated vulnerability remediation
I elaborate on my rating of SentinelOne support by mentioning that there was some time where the troubleshooting took a longer time. In fact, there were many meetings going on. The availability of the document on the internet is on a lesser side because as an engineer, I would want to know about the troubleshooting aspects of this particular tool. When I am facing a customer, I do not prefer to bring the vendor to every call and try to resolve it, as it takes months and months. It would be better to have a training session with the engineer on site to explain and train properly. This is not the case with SentinelOne, so this is the only thing I have a complaint about. I do not have any other room for improvement to suggest within SentinelOne itself. However, I would really want the AI assistant for the threat hunting part to be more accessible. They have it, but they are making it licensed, so it is a bit on the higher end.

Boosts security and compliance in multi-cloud environments while real-time threat detection enhances risk management
Check Point CloudGuard CNAPP flagged a misconfiguration in our AWS S3 bucket that had overly permissive access settings. That configuration could have exposed our sensitive data to the public internet. The platform not only identified the issue but also provided remediation that our team was able to apply immediately. This prevented a potential data exposure. Check Point CloudGuard CNAPP offers a unified, modular platform that combines CSPM, CWPP, CIEM, code security, and cloud detection and response. The agentless workload posture, real-time threat detection and response, multi-cloud coverage and visibility, compliance automation, and one-click remediations stand out as its best features. I find myself relying on the risk management engine and prioritization the most day-to-day. In any cloud environment, you are flooded with findings, misconfigurations, vulnerabilities, and compliance gaps. Without prioritization, it is overwhelming for our team to take care of the posture. CloudGuard's risk scoring helps us cut through incidents. This makes remediation faster and focused instead of wasting time checking every alert. We get to fix the issues that pose real business risks. Check Point CloudGuard CNAPP has positively impacted our organization at a significant level. We get greater visibility and control across all our cloud environments. Some biggest benefits we have seen are faster detection and remediation of misconfigurations, improved compliance posture, reduced risk exposure, operational efficiency, and cost savings. Overall, it has made our cloud environment more secure, compliant, and easier to manage while freeing up our teams to focus on projects instead of chasing alerts.

Offers in-memory protection at a lower price than competitors
Morphisec's in-memory protection is probably the most valuable feature because it stops malicious activity from occurring. If something tries to install or act as a sleeper agent, Morphisec will detect and stop it. Morphisec's Moving Target Defense is critical to hardening our attack surface. If it detects something, it indicates whether it's valid. That means you've got a breach requiring investigation. It detects anomalies but doesn't necessarily point to what caused them. You still need to do that work. The solution is reasonably easy to administer. They made some changes last year, adding a cloud-based monitoring solution that makes deploying and monitoring our endpoints easy.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The ease of use of the platform is very nice."
"Our organization is growing steadily, so our infrastructure is expanding, and we're managing more technical resources. Singularity Cloud Security helps us track our resources so that we don't get lost in the overwhelming volume of things and ensures we follow best practices. The solution gives us better visibility into our resources and enables faster resolution."
"You not only get to know about vulnerabilities and misconfigurations but also some of the actual"
"The most valuable feature of SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security is its advanced AI and machine learning capabilities, which allow it to identify and respond to threats in real time."
"The user interface is well-designed and easy to navigate."
"SentinelOne stands out with its responsiveness to feature requests for Singularity Cloud Security."
"My favorite feature is Storyline."
"The UI and the widgets are what I personally appreciate. I find it easy to use."
"All of the features are very useful in today's market."
"Its monitoring and alerts are triggered by a failure or non-compliance with policies. It helps us to be able to act effectively and quickly."
"The various CNAPP modules have granted more visibility of our cloud applications to our system engineers and developers."
"It helps us to analyze vulnerabilities way before they get installed in production and the web. It gives us more security in the production environment."
"The valuable features of Checkpoint CloudGuard CNAPP include its automation capabilities."
"Alerts of cloud activity happening across all accounts is helpful."
"The most valuable feature is posture management, which gives you complete visibility of all your assets in the cloud and allows you to do governance and compliance."
"The most valuable features of CloudGuard CNAPP are its compliance engine and auto-remediation features."
"I really like the integration with Microsoft Defender. In addition to having third-party endpoint protection, we're also enabling Defender... I like the reporting that we get from Defender, when it comes in. I like that it's one console showing both Morphisec and Defender where it provides me with full visibility into security events from Defender and Morphisec."
"Morphisec Guard enables us to see at a glance whether our users have device control and disk encryption enabled properly. This is important because we are a global company operating with multiple entities. Previously, we didn't have that visibility. Now, we have visibility so we can pinpoint some locations where there are machines that are not really protected, offline, etc. It gives us visibility, which is good."
"Morphisec makes it very easy for IT teams of any size to prevent breaches of critical systems because of the design of their tool. When we evaluated Morphisec, the CIO and I sat and listened. What attracted us to them is the fact that it stops activity at the point of detection. That saves a lot of time because now we are not investigating and trying to trace down what to turn off. We have already prevented it, which makes it very much safer and more secure."
"What's valuable is really the whole kit and caboodle of the Morphisec agent. What it does is genius, in a way, until the bad guys get wise to it. You set it up and then you watch the dashboard. There isn't really much tinkering."
"Since using Morphisec we have seen a downturn in attacks because Morphisec protects us versus Defenders and whatnot that are signature-based. I know we have not had any issues with ransomware or other zero-day attacks that we've seen with machines that, all of a sudden, have become before we instituted the product. Now the machine had to be re-imaged and there was a loss of data because something was on the machine. You couldn't really determine what was on the machine because nothing was picking it up. The products we were using weren't picking it up."
"What's valuable is really the whole kit and caboodle of the Morphisec agent."
"We have seen it successfully block attacks that a traditional antivirus did not pick up."
"All the alerts are on the dashboard, which is quite simple and useful for us. You can easily check all the alerts that are being blocked or allowed, or whatever the action is. You can easily see that and you can take the necessary actions. You can add a PowerShell extension or any activities for blocking at your network level or for endpoints."

Cons

"While SentinelOne offers robust security features, its higher cost may present a challenge for budget-conscious organizations."
"The alerting system of the product is an area that I look at and sometimes get confused about. I feel the alerting feature needs improvement."
"The application module focuses on the different codes and libraries that can be run on the machines. It is very important for Singularity EDR to detect what type of codes and what type of libraries can run in the machine. If they can implement a white list or a black list of codes or libraries that can be used in the machine, it would be very helpful. They can focus more on the application module."
"SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security has limited legacy system support and may not fully support older operating systems or legacy environments."
"We don't get any notifications from SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security when the clusters are down."
"While SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security offers real-time response, there is room for improvement in alert accuracy."
"In version 2, a lot of rules have been deployed for Kubernetes security and CDR, which makes a lot of issues of critical severity, whereas they are not critical or of high severity. There is a mismatch of severities."
"After closing an alert in Cloud Native Security, it still shows as unresolved."
"Automatic remediation requires read/write access. When providing read/write access to third-party applications, this can add risk."
"I would like CloudGuard's pricing to be cheaper, but I think that's impossible. The pricing is the only thing I think they can improve."
"Especially with cloud security, there's too much clutter on the screen and too many things going on."
"In general, for the product to be successful, they need to improve security, and configuration detection."
"Check Point tools need to improve the latency in the portal since they take a long time to load."
"Currently, worldwide, there are many companies of all sizes that do not understand the value that their data has, but even with all existing clouds, they also do not understand what the shared responsibility model is. They only assume that by having a cloud, the provider must ensure safety, when the truth is that the providers only secure their sites. Everything we do in the cloud and how we configure it is actually our responsibility."
"The product must provide different features like antivirus."
"The user interface needs work. Sometimes, it is a transition from the old tool to the new CNAPP Two that I currently have, and remnants of the old environment can still be detected."
"The dashboard is the area that requires the most improvement. We have about, I would say 5,500 computers currently, and searching through all of those takes some time to filter. So as soon as you apply the filter, it takes a few seconds. It crunches, it thinks, and then it brings up the clients that match."
"Having to have an on-prem server required a lot of administration."
"We started in the Linux platform and we deployed to Linux. The licensing of that has been kind of confusing between Linux licensing and Windows licensing. The overall simplicity of licensing or offering an enterprise license to just cover everything and then we don't have to count needs improvement."
"I haven't been able to get the cloud deployment to work. When there's an update, I'm supposed to be able to roll it out for the cloud solution, but right now I'm continuing to use our SCCM solution to update it."
"It might be a bit much to ask, but we are now beginning to use Morphisec Scout, which provides vulnerability information. At this time, it's recognizing vulnerabilities and reporting them to us, but it's not necessarily resolving them. There's still a separate manual process to resolve those vulnerabilities, primarily through upgrades. We have to do that outside of Morphisec. If Morphisec could somehow have that capability built into it, that would be very effective."
"It would be useful for them if they had some kind of network discovery."
"Sometimes it generates false positive alerts. They need to continue working on that. They have provided solutions for it and have fixed issues with updated versions. The service is quite good but they need to work on it more so that there are no false positive alerts."
"I haven't seen ROI because I haven't seen a threat that it has protected against, exactly."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"SentinelOne is quite costly compared to other security platforms."
"The tool is cost-effective."
"It's not expensive. The product is in its initial growth stages and appears more competitive compared to others. It comes in different variants, and I believe the enterprise version costs around $55 per user per year. I would rate it a five, somewhere fairly moderate."
"The pricing for PingSafe in India was more reasonable than other competitors."
"The tool is cost-effective."
"PingSafe is less expensive than other options."
"PingSafe is priced reasonably for our workload."
"SentinelOne provided competitive pricing compared to other vendors, and we are satisfied with the deal."
"The pricing is tremendous and super cheap. It is shockingly cheap for what you get out of it. I am happy with that. I hope that doesn't get reported back and they increase the prices. I love the pricing and the licensing makes sense. It is just assets: The more stuff that you have, the more you pay."
"It is difficult to contextualize the pricing because we are used to Indian pricing and licensing."
"CloudGuard is fairly priced."
"Licensing and costs are straightforward, as they have a baseline of 100 workloads within one license and no additional charges."
"The licensing and costs are straightforward, as they have a baseline of 100 workloads (number of instances) within one license with no additional nor hidden charges. If you want to have 200 workloads under Dome9, then you need to take out two licenses for that. Also, it does not have any impact on cloud billing, as data is shared using the API call. This is well within the limit of free API calls provided by the cloud provider."
"The pricing is extremely competitive."
"I would advise taking into account the existing number of devices and add a forecast of the number of devices to be added in the coming year or two, to obtain better pricing."
"The license fee is high."
"It is an annual subscription basis per device. For the devices that we have in scope right now, it is about $25,000 a year."
"Compared to their competitors, the price of Morphisec is not that high. You can easily deploy it on a large-scale or small-scale network."
"We are still using a separate tool. I know for our 600 or I think we're actually licensed for up to 700 users, it runs me 23 or $24,000 a year. When you're talking to that many users plus servers being protected, that's well worth the investment for that dollar amount."
"Our licensing is tied into our contract. Because we have a long-term contract, our pricing is a little bit lower. It is per year, so we don't get charged per endpoint, but we do have a cap. Our cap is 80 endpoints. If we were to go over 80, when we renewed our contract, which is not until three years are over. Then, they would reevaluate, and say, "Well, you have more than 80 devices active right now. This is going to be the price change." They know that we are installing and replacing computers, so the numbers will be all over the place depending on whether you archive or don't archive, which is the reason why we just have to keep up on that stuff."
"Licenses are per endpoint, and that's true for the cloud version as well. The only difference is that there is a little extra charge for the cloud version."
"It does not have multi-tenants. If South Africa wants to show only the machines that they have, they need their own cloud incidence. It is not possible to have that in a single cloud incidence with multiple tenants in it, instead you need to have multiple cloud incidences. Then, if you have that, it will be more expensive. However, they are going to change that, which is good."
"It is priced correctly for what it does. They end up doing a good deal of discounting, but I think it is priced appropriately."
"The pricing is definitely fair for what it does."
