Ability to interact with teachers in real-time and manage lessons after class
The deployment process is very fast. We have prepared the product to be easily installed, and we have had successful cases where it could be implemented in less than a few weeks. Moreover, Around three or four people in a call center are involved in maintaining the solution. We have a project manager, a service manager, and at least two or three system analysts who handle the maintenance. If there are any issues, we can open a support ticket for them to address.

Has consistently delivered high performance and aligned security while evolving with AI-driven improvements
When discussing Oracle Exadata, the main thing is the specialized database appliance, the flash cache, and the engineered machine on the database for the database itself. Overall, all the features are useful and meaningful for any database like Oracle to run the Oracle database. Regarding Smart Scan technology, it is for better performance. If a customer cannot tune their applications, this will help them to run the database and run the application without any tuning itself. Oracle Exadata's advanced compression techniques have affected my customer's data storage efficiency positively, with the feature being great, but as of now, our customer is not using that. I find its security measures align with my customer's organization, as security is aligned as per the customer's requirement. It has helped optimize performance and cost.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The tool's most valuable features for us are its combination of formatting, ETL, analytics, and storage capabilities."
"The most valuable feature is the ability to interact with teachers in real-time and manage lessons after class."
"We can use virtualization on Exadata."
"We have a complete HA environment with two Exadata machines across two datacenters, and we've been able to use Data Guard to perform switchovers, perform maintenance, and do other tasks with little or no downtime at all."
"The most valuable feature is that you have the same familiar environment of an Oracle database but with the additional performance you get from this architecture."
"It's about consolidation of my infrastructure, scalability, high performance, and availability."
"Exadata is a fantastic machine. Two features stand out. The first is the resource input/output management tool that allows you to manage the resources to the neck on the Exadata box."
"Regarding features, there are so many that we can offer to customers. When we sell Exadata Cloud, there are many options to choose from, especially when it comes to enterprise database options. In my experience, the main features that are appreciated are various ones like GPS and the assortment of security options."
"Many diverse applications were migrated to the Exadata platform that had either performance or stability issues, and all have had very reliable performance since."
"Payroll used to take two and a half days. It now takes one or two hours."

Cons

"Maybe the chat conversation feature could be improved."
"The solution is expensive. For future releases, it would be beneficial if Kovair Data Lake could enhance its ETL and data capabilities."
"The support for patching – we have Platinum Support – is probably one of the worst I have ever experienced in my career."
"I don't think it's so scalable because Exadata is a box."
"More control for database admins is needed for storage indexes and pricing."
"There is one aspect to Exadata that I dislike, and that's the inconsistency with other databases."
"Sometimes it takes too long time to get help with technical issues."
"I have found Oracle Exadata to be scalable. However, you have to purchase more hardware, such as memory."
"The ASR needs to be improved."
"Try to diminish the logging service."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I rate the tool's pricing a five out of ten."
"I think it's free."
"The Initial investment price could use improvement"
"The cost of the product could be improved."
"Exadata is an expensive tool, but, considering the ROI, it's worth going for the solution."
"You have to pay for the storage and the database in Oracle Exadata. It cost a lot, but it is worth it. It would be a benefit if we could reduce the price for the number of CPUs and extend the memory."
"It is quite expensive."
"The pricing of Oracle Exadata is too high."
"The majority of our customers are in government or big enterprises, and the projects that we sell come out to several million USD. With this amount of money on the table, it's always better to have an experienced team of consultants, who know Exadata very well, handle the implementation."
