Initially, we got to have a lot of false positives when we onboarded, but nowadays it's quite smooth. We have fine-tuned our security policies and allowed different levels of policies to get rid of those false positives. Currently, we are getting a fairly good amount of incidents that are not false positives or benign, but actionable items. The process is streamlined. In the initial days, the operations used to get involved in a lot of benign and other activities, but now the process is streamlined. We are leveraging the auto-detection and remediation plans. The operations teams are now more involved in other business roles as well, not just looking into the logs and fetching out what's happening there. They have fixed a lot of things. Initially, they didn't have IAC code drift detection, cloud posture management, or security posture management, but they have those now. They purchased different vendors and did a merger with that. They have now Prisma Cloud that gets integrated and now they are working with Cortex Cloud. Everything that was negative has now been addressed, and the product altogether looks to be in a very better and mature shape now. Currently, it's more or less detecting the workloads with AI-based best practices. Since most organizations are consuming AI agents and other things, we are looking forward to seeing what other feature enhancements Palo Alto can support in that.

Behavior analytics has improved insider threat detection and reduces false positives for our team

The best features LogRhythm UEBA [EOL] offers are its behavioral balancing, baselining, risk scoring, and correlation with SIEM events, and what stands out most is risk scoring, which gives clear visibility into which user behaviors are genuinely risky and helps our team to focus on the highest priority threats without drowning in noise. Risk scoring helps us to quickly identify which users' activity needs immediate attention by clearly ranking threats based on impact and likelihood; it changes our day-to-day operations by reducing time spent on low-risk alerts and allowing the team to prioritize investigations and response actions more effectively and consistently. LogRhythm UEBA [EOL] has positively impacted our organization by improving our ability to detect insider threats and compromised accounts earlier, resulting in better security visibility, reduced false positives, and faster investigations and response times, which helped the team operate more effectively with greater confidence. I observed a noticeable reduction in false positive alert volume, which shortened the investigation time per incident, improving the mean time to detect and respond, and helping identify high-risk user activities earlier, which prevented potential security incidents from escalating.

AI‑driven threat detection has transformed alert fatigue and now enables faster response and leaner soc operations

The best features of Vectra AI are related to AI. For the NDR part, Attack Signal Intelligence features were mainly responsible for behavior AI, high-fidelity signaling, and prioritization. These features were great for anomaly detection and behavioral-based detection, able to catch zero-day attacks and living-off-the-land attacks. For high-fidelity signaling, it automatically triaged, filtered, and correlated signals, which dramatically reduced alert fatigue noise on the customer side by approximately 80% and eliminated alert fatigue on the SOC teams. Regarding the identity detection and response IDR solution, it monitored Active Directory and Entra ID for any attacks, allowing the SOC to detect any compromised credentials. Alert noise was dramatically reduced by nearly 80%, allowing SOC analysts to focus more on true threats, which made them more productive and resulted in higher operational efficiency. Attack Signal Intelligence helped reduce irrelevant alerts by 80% to 90%, with metrics showing a 100-plus reduction in investigation workloads and roughly saving about 55,000 hours of investigation time. Investigation time has decreased significantly, empowering analysts with detection and advanced unknown threats that Vectra AI provided. Its knowledge base and database are very up to date, allowing for spotting zero-day attacks with full visibility and helping to stop attacks in minutes. Vectra AI has reduced the MTTD and MTTR, increasing operational and process efficiency, and has helped reduce the number of SOC analysts that needed to be hired. Thanks to the AI features, the number of employees and SOC analysts hired has been reduced.

We monitor all Extended Detection and Response (XDR) reviews to prevent fraudulent reviews and keep review quality high. We do not post reviews by company employees or direct competitors. We validate each review for authenticity via cross-reference with LinkedIn, and personal follow-up with the reviewer when necessary.
