The initial pricing is reasonable and competitive compared to other solutions. The challenge arises during annual renewals, as the price increase can be significant, around twenty percent or more, which customers find difficult to understand.
The pricing structure should be based on memory or CPU usage rather than the number of agents, as it makes the solution more expensive for us. The pricing structure is too high and becomes increasingly expensive as the number of agents increases. It is more costly than other solutions, especially if you have a large data center that needs to be monitored or when you are using a container.

I'm unable to give information on Broadcom DX Application Performance Management licensing costs, but all Application Performance Management products have expensive pricing. This means that it's not only Broadcom that's expensive, and it would be an advantage if the cost would be a little bit cheaper.

The license for Broadcom DX Application Performance Management is annual. The licensing model could improve because there is not any limit to deploying the agent, there should be some limits on it.

Pricing is not my area because I am a technical developer, technical engineer who coordinates the different teams but I know the pricing. It is definitely expensive for what we get, but there isn't an alternate option at the moment. We can't really compare with other solutions.

The solution uses a subscription-based model. The pricing could be better. From the perspective of a value proposition, what I'm expecting from products that I'm not getting. That makes us assume that the pricing is high. There aren't additional costs beyond the main licensing fee.
Our customers are satisfied and there is no complaining about the price. All discounts are given case by case to accommodate the client's budgets. Setup is not expensive because projects are relatively short in man/days.
Dynatrace is the most expensive of these tools followed by AppDynamics which is "medium-expensive." Both CA APM vs Dynatrace and CA APM vs AppDynamics are a bit lower in price. Because of this, our clients insist on using CA APM. In my opinion, if you can afford it, go for AppDynamics instead of CA APM. But if our customers don't have the budget, we'll go with CA APM. We have a comparison chart showing the license costs for AppDynamics, Dynatrace, and CA APM and other monitoring tools as well. We provide that information to our clients along with the advantages and disadvantages of a particular tool. We provide our opinion on which it is best to go with but we also listen to our clients' opinions. We discuss this at length to finally come up with a decision on which tool to go with.
If you can get a SME to architect and install then definitely go that route vs the vendor itself. There are upside to having the vendor due to the fact that they have access to unlimited resources for assistance.

The pricing is in the middle range. The license is on a yearly basis.

We pay a monthly licensing fee. The solution does have a few different options, according to your needs.

The licensing costs are expensive.
Broadcom is a better and cheaper option from a financial perspective. It also depends on the DLP plug.

Setup costs are quite competitive relative to other solutions, and simpler.
