Our primary use case for Ruckus Cloudpath is within the hospitality industry and educational institutions, such as large hotels and universities. We implemented the solution in the infrastructure to provide services to customers and students. Specifically, we use it in premises like student labs and hotel lobbies for customers and in meeting rooms.
I use Ruckus Cloudpath to handle all our APIs in our school. We currently have around 700 users, and it helps manage network scaling and user growth within our infrastructure.
We installed Ruckus to control the wireless devices, access control, and the doors in hotels. The hotel doors were managed by Ruckus Wi-Fi and wireless devices, integrating all these systems.
At the moment, we have multiple drilling units, with users utilizing Ruckus Cloudpath alongside DPSKs. The process involves creating external DPSKs from our SmartZone because SmartZone imposes a limit of 3,000 DPSKs. The recent implementation primarily focuses on users employing DPSKs. This enables us to restrict the number of devices connected to a specific password. DPSKs are dynamic and unique to each user. Ruckus Cloudpath is predominantly utilized for onboarding corporate environments. It involves certificate-based authentication. Customers can use their Active Directory cloud for certificates. Once validated, users receive a certificate containing all the credentials and device information. This means that the next time they log onto the Wi-Fi, they are already authenticated.
It is very helpful with customer education and employee enrollment. It also helps guest investors network enrollment for the BYOD and security and integration for the active directory under one X authentication.
Our company is the only distributor in Pakistan and we integrate the solution for customers. We are in the middle of our first deployment at a university.

We have it in this large school. It's a private school that goes from kindergarten through 12th grade. It's the whole lower school system all the way through 12 grade leading to college. They liked the fact that, first of all, they weren't big Cisco fans. They did like Brocade and Ruckus products and it was in their price range, even though they had a pretty big budget. A lot of schools are really tight with their IT, especially private schools. It just fits their needs too. They have multiple sites within the same campus. They had two to four buildings plus an incredible field hockey field with blue AstroTurf, which was amazing. They can connect to everything.
One of our use cases for Ruckus Cloudpath is in a retail warehouse for WiFi access coverage. We set up a wireless network based on Ruckus and the networking based on Cisco Meraki.
