It is mostly used for our clients with small offices.
We're using version 1930, series 500. It's deployed on-premise.

We're using version 1930, series 500. It's deployed on-premise.
The pricing is competitive but could be improved.
I have been using this solution for 12 years.
It's stable.
It's scalable.
We have two support centers in Nigeria and we receive a good level of service.
Setup is easy.
Pricing is competitive, and there are no supplementary fees.
I would rate this solution 8 out of 10.
This solution is ideal for small and medium division enterprises.
Regarding the feature, my clients are currently favoring it because it enables them to switch back to phone functionality. They appreciate the variety of switches available, including online monitoring tools and configuration options within the application. This is the primary reason they have a positive view of the product.
We are interested in acquiring a firewall that provides a comprehensive solution. In other words, we're seeking a firewall that encompasses multiple aspects, such as exceptional switches and active phone functionalities. Our goal is to have a unified system that allows us to monitor and manage everything from a single panel, making it the most effective way to oversee all the network traffic and related activities.
I have been using Aruba Instant On Switches for the last two to three years.
While I can work at any time, I can't assure the complete reliability of everything, particularly in comparison to a bank. We're talking about networking devices, and there are many variables to consider. I appreciate your understanding. I'm not concerned about the environment, but it's worth noting that there are factors beyond our control, especially when dealing with an Internet Service Provider.
It allows us to easily manage endpoint blocking and configure the desired number of switches and access points. It's a straightforward process. Moreover, you have the flexibility to perform these tasks directly from your mobile device. However, when it comes to more advanced features, like the fun feature, you won't be able to access and control them through the mobile application. Instead, you'll need a Command One interface for handling tasks similar to those found in Eagle, Cisco, or Aruba switches. These enhanced features are typically reserved for data centers and other specialized solutions, offering more capabilities and flexibility. In essence, the level of functionality you have access to depends on whether you're using a regular mobile application or more advanced interfaces.
I would rate it an eight out of ten.
Other solutions require a controller on your devices to manage them. Once you set up the controller, you can't access or troubleshoot as needed. This can be a bit cumbersome. However, in this area, we don't face this issue because devices automatically connect and operate without the need for control or added complexity. Comparatively, when it comes to SysTrack, the features are restricted, and managing each device can be somewhat more intricate at times.
It's a straightforward process since you only need to create an account during the specified time frame. For an on-premises client using this solution, the deployment time is quite swift. It typically takes only about six to fifteen minutes, as the entire process can be managed through the mobile application.
I would rate it an eight out of ten.
The solution syncs network traffic and shares internet connections with clients.
The solution's scalability and pricing need improvement.
We have been using the solution for over seven years.
It is a stable solution. I rate its stability as a nine.
We have 30,000 solution users as our customers. It is a scalable solution. Although, it could be more dynamic while scaling the network for high bandwidth.
I rate its scalability as a seven.
The solution's customer service is good.
Positive
We used Juniper earlier. Its support, scalability, and stability were not up to the mark. Thus, we switched to Aruba.
The solution is easy to install. I rate the setup process as an eight. It takes two to three hours to complete and requires one person for execution. Also, it is easy to maintain and needs three executives for the process.
The solution could be less expensive. I rate its pricing a six.
The solution provides the best quality of service. I recommend it to others and rate it as a nine.
If the customer wants a LAN infrastructure, where they want to communicate with each other, that's the primary use case. That's the primary use case. Also, when they want to deploy IP telephone solutions. When they want to share one common internet between everything they can do so with this. Those are the basic use cases.
The user interface is very good.
It is straightforward to set up.
The product is quite stable.
It's scalable.
In general, mostly in Instant On series, if we could have much more control on the switches, at least. We'd like a CLI access so that, when we want to do some advanced configurations we could. That would be very beneficial.
I'm not a regular implementer. I'm working mostly on the solutions side, pre-sale side. I've been working in the pre-sales with Aruba for quite some time - more than two years. I've been dealing with this solution for one year.
The solution is stable and reliable. There are no bugs or glitches. It doesn't crash or freeze.
It is not a stackable product, however, you can scale it.
If a company wants to add multiple switches, in general, it's scalable. You would just need to connect an uplink and you will have an extra switch already.
I haven't worked with the technical team yet.
I also am familiar with Cisco.
I haven't configured any other switches like Extreme or Ruckus.
One major difference in Cisco is I can convert it only with the Cisco SG series. The 9300 switches work differently. There's only really a comparison between Aruba Instant On switches and Cisco SG switches. In Cisco switches, I find the GUI to be loopy.
The solution is very straightforward to set up. I'd rate it a five out of five in terms of ease of use. There isn't too much to do.
How long it takes to set up varies. It will not take a minute or two minutes to make the switch up and running. That said, if you want to configure multiple VLANs, et cetera, then that is where you'll spend some time.
I'm not involved in the licensing. I can't speak to the exact costs. My understanding is that it is competitively priced. I'd rate it a four out of five in terms of affordability.
We are a reseller.
I'd rate the product eight out of ten. We've been pretty happy with the pricing and capabilities.
I am using Aruba switches primarily for security, more than one site, stability, and reliability.
The most valuable features I find in Aruba Instant On switches include the access list and VLANs, along with other features such as security and cloud capabilities. The creation of multi-VLANs, access list between VLANs, control, management, and the easy monitoring of switches make it a reliable choice for my organization.
Some models need enhancement of the web interface to make management and monitoring easier. I would appreciate a single interface to manage all network switches from one dashboard.
I have been working with Aruba switches for more than two or three years.
The product is very stable to use and very reliable.
Scalability is a concern. We need to change the model if we want scalability since some models cannot cover all needs in future plans.
HP's technical support is very good in terms of response time and quality. However, the support can depend on the company partner. I deal with a big partner in Egypt, which affects the support quality.
Neutral
We previously used HP switches and moved to Aruba switches since we changed our infrastructure to HCI.
The initial setup for Aruba switches was simple compared to Cisco and other vendors.
I compared Aruba with Cisco, Juniper, and Fortinet. For Fortinet, I considered the FortiSwitch.
I rate Aruba Instant On switches an eight out of ten.
The solution is used in certain districts and airports in my country.
The most valuable feature of the solution is its GUI. The simplicity of the tool's GUI is good.
The difficulty with the tool is in the area of troubleshooting. The problem that we have in our company is that the switches don't get connected properly.
In the future, I want to see AI in the tool.
The tool's pricing part can be improved.
I have been using Aruba Instant On Switches for five years.
Stability-wise, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.
Scalability-wise, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.
Four people in my company use the tool.
I deal with six clients who use the tool. The clients I deal with are large businesses.
The solution's technical support has been helpful. I don't have to reach out to the support team much. I rate the technical support a ten out of ten.
Positive
I also work with Fortinet's switches. I also have experience with Extreme Networks switches. I use Cisco's switches. I use Aruba Instant On Switches since my team needs it.
Our company needed some support for the product's initial setup phase.
The solution is deployed on the cloud and on an on-premises model. I use Azure's private cloud services.
The solution can be deployed in around twenty minutes.
My company's technical team consists of nine people who take care of the product's installation phase. There are two engineers and the others are technicians.
If one is very bad, and ten is a very good price, I rate the tool's price as a six.
There is a need to maintain the tool once on a quarterly basis. I maintain the tool by myself and with the help of another company.
The tool helps with AI-driven projects by defining if there is a problem in the product.
I recommend the tool to others.
Aruba provides access points and switches for all our projects.
As there are better products than Aurba in the market, I rate the tool a seven out of ten.
The solution is ideal for small and medium sized enterprises.
The online monitoring tool and the configuration of the application with the tool are valuable features.
In the next version, they should add a firewall from a single source.
I have been using the solution for three years.
The solution is very stable. I rate the stability a ten out of ten.
The solution is scalable.
You cannot work from your mobile application. You don't have a Command One interface to do the old stuff. For data centers or different solutions, you have many more features and more capabilities. I rate the scalability a seven out of ten.
The technical support team is good.
I previously used UniFi. With UniFi, you need to have a controller in the cell phone on your devices. Once you do have the controller, you cannot access it, and you will have to troubleshoot. You need more control and this may be more complicated.
The initial setup is straightforward. The deployment takes six to fifteen minutes.
I rate the overall solution an eight out of ten.
In my company, I use Aruba Instant On Switches to manage enterprise connectivity.
The cost and simplicity of the product are its most valuable features.
The product's drawbacks are limited. Aruba Instant On Switches doesn't provide my company with the flexibility that we were expecting from it. The scalability of the product is also limited, because of which we cannot install it on a large scale in our company. In my company, we cannot manage Aruba Instant On Switches in a very easy manner, making the overall tool a little bit complicated to set up and run. The aforementioned areas can be considered for improvement in the solution.
In the future, I would like to see Aruba Instant On Switches with some AI features that can help run and operate the network while also helping its users spot any issues and fix them.
I have been using Aruba Instant On Switches for a year and a half. Since Aruba's support contract covers my company, we always get the upgraded and latest version of the solution.
It is a stable solution, but it doesn't meet the standards we expect in our company. It is a simple product to use. Stability-wise, I rate the solution a seven out of ten.
It is not a very scalable solution. Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a six out of ten.
Around 70 people in diverse roles, including executive to system technicians, use the solution in my company.
My company has worked with products from Cisco, like two years ago. My company chose Aruba Instant On Switches over Cisco due to cost-related reasons.
The solution is deployed on a private cloud, and my company uses the cloud service provided by AWS.
The maintenance part of the solution is taken care of by a system integrator from Aruba's partner.
The product's shortcomings limit the operations of the daily work in our company. Shortly, my company plans to look at other products in the market.
Customers need to consider the drawbacks of Aruba Instant On Switches before buying it.
I rate the overall solution a six and a half out of ten. To be more precise, I rate the overall solution a six out of ten.
We work with various types of switches, including the Aruba 8000 series, 6000 series, 2000 series, and 3000 series, depending on the specific requirements of our customers. We adapt our solutions to meet each customer's unique needs rather than focusing on a single model or type. Customers can easily manage, control, and monitor the solution via Aruba GUI.
The solution provides GUI control, making it particularly suitable for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and small office/home office (SOHO) networks. However, for larger enterprise-level organizations, it is recommended to consider Aruba's industrial-grade products.
The solution’s GUI should be improved a bit. Nowadays, nobody wants to use CLI (command-line interface). Nobody wants to type a command because they don't have the time to remember it. Hence, they prefer to use GUI products.
I have been using Aruba Instant On Switches for the past six months.
There was only one instance with a stability issue. Aruba Instant On Switches have limitations and aren't suitable for enterprise-level needs. This can result in functionality issues, power-related problems, and other challenges. We tried to tackle the challenge. However, when we required help, our service engineers contacted customer support.
Before Aruba Instant On Switches, I worked with other products. Since I love technology, I learn about all types of technological products, including all types of switches.
The solution’s initial setup is very easy.
Our team of engineers are responsible for the installation of the solution.
With respect to GUI, Aruba Instant On Switches has competitors in Cisco, D-Link, and NETGEAR.
Overall, I rate Aruba Instant On Switches a nine out of ten.
We use the solution to provide internet access to our buildings.
The solution is user-friendly and stable.
There is always room to improve the coverage area.
The price has room for improvement.
I have been using the solution for over six years.
I give the stability a nine out of ten.
I give scalability ten out of ten.
The solution is plug-and-play and auto-configured.
I give the price seven out of ten.
I give the solution an eight out of ten.
We have around 195 agents on the switch.
Aruba Instant On Switches is easy to manage compared to other solutions.
