Professional services boost confidence but pricing and user-friendliness need attention
We have multiple solutions such as SimpliVity, Nutanix, and DXRail, which are all part of our Ansible-based system. It gives us more confidence and we can control our groups effectively. The solution is not particularly user-friendly for novice administrators, making it challenging to understand certain aspects. Templates are not readily available, requiring users to build their own worksheets and everything from scratch. This is a main decentralization we observe compared to VMware. We have tested various solutions including Rancher, RHEL, Canonical from SUSE, and the bare metal version from RHEL direct. Since pricing is not a major concern, we chose the best fit for our application, which was specifically designed for this particular platform.

Boosts security by automatically blocking applications or activities, but query responses have been slower recently
For the past six months, we have been facing some issues. Because it is a cloud-based infrastructure, it has been getting slower. There are no bugs because they release updates continuously. We highly appreciate that, but during hunting or running a query on different logs, the time frame has increased in the past six months. It takes longer to give us the results. Another issue is the lack of proper documentation. During investigations, there is no proper documentation available. This is a problem because many people are saying there should be proper documentation explaining what CrowdStrike captures from the machine and the meaning of it.

Pros

"It is easy to deploy."
"The platform's high scalability is one of its biggest advantages."

"AKS is easy to use. We can scale up and down as needed with AKS, which saves us money on our cloud costs."
"It employs high availability."
"The most valuable feature is the autoscaling and self-healing."
"The tool is budget-friendly."
"It is appealing to us due to its complexity, which aligns well with our requirements."
"It provides alerts on suspicious command executions, helping us safeguard our systems."
"The immediate mitigation of potential threats and instant alerts are valuable."
"CrowdStrike utilizes signatureless technology, eliminating the need for regular signature updates on endpoint systems."
"We like the solution's management and monitoring tools for our network. We use it to monitor our network between workstations and outside our organization. The AI provides useful visualizations of our network on a dashboard."
"The most valuable features are the real-time response, which allows me to log into a machine to pull files and check signatures for malicious activities, and the ability to restrict USB block storage usage on endpoints by policy."
"It helps us by automatically blocking certain applications or activities."
"The threat intelligence is the most vital feature"
"The alerts are clearer, and the capabilities are much better than the others."

Cons

"The cost of Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) is extremely high"
"The application firewall is lacking some features and there is room for enhancement."
"Sometimes, it fails to provide specific metrics."
"One area that could be improved is the Azure CLI. It would be beneficial if they could abstract some of the complexities related to deployment scripts and make them a part of Azure CLI."
"The setup process could be more user-friendly, and additional documentation would be beneficial."
"It can be tough to access the servers when onboarding."
"I am not impressed with the support services from Microsoft yet."
"The product’s cost could be reduced."
"The log scale or Humio side of it where it collects the data and expands into the XDR world still needs time to develop in terms of the way it combines the data and metadata that flows into the platform. I know they're working on it."
"The UI part needs to be improved."
"The tool could give us more templates so that people who are not updated with the platform can easily get acquainted with how to secure and utilize the product more."
"There were some integration issues with this product."
"The file integrity monitoring feature should be enhanced and offered more control"
"The main area for improvement is pricing, as it is quite expensive."
"It would be more convenient if there was an easier way to install CrowdStrike, perhaps through better integration with Active Directory."
"The SIEM needs to be more developed."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The product is expensive."
"Azure Kubernetes Service offers a pay-as-you-go licensing model."
"I like the pricing and find it to be in the mid-range, and I would rate it as five out of ten."
"The pricing of the solution is dependent on the choice of virtual machines, specifically the amount of memory required. There are various options available, ranging from around twenty-five to even more choices to select from. This flexibility allows you to customize the pricing based on your specific needs. From my perspective, virtual machines in the cloud tend to be slightly more expensive compared to virtual machines offered directly by data centers. However, this cost is offset by the benefits of a managed service. Taking the overall picture into account, the managed service approach is advantageous. The pricing for the platform can vary, typically ranging from three hundred euros per month to two thousand euros per month, depending on the specific requirements and setup you choose."
"We are facing a significant challenge regarding OEM licensing. The issue arises from the fact that certain licenses required for our own purposes are not provided by Microsoft's licensing. Consequently, we are unsure about the most suitable mobile license provisioning model offered by third-party providers."
"The product is expensive in terms of scalability."
"It is not expensive."
"The product follows a pay-as-you-go pricing model which is good for small enterprises. You need to pay only for the services that you use."
"The pricing is fair for what you get. I'd rate them a solid nine out of ten in terms of pricing."
"CrowdStrike Falcon Cloud Security is very expensive for us. Last month, we had a big issue that took much time and money to resolve. It slowed down our business and required our management team to get involved. We had a problem similar to the "Blue Screen of Death" issue many US companies faced. This incident used up many of our IT resources in just a few months. That's why we're looking for a replacement tool now."
"I am not the one who handled the pricing. A different team worked on it, but it is pretty expensive."
"The price is not too high, it is okay."
"It is expensive, but it adds value."
"The pricing is reasonable, neither overly expensive nor excessively cheap, making it competitive compared to other market options."
"CrowdStrike Falcon Cloud Security is pricy."
"Its price is moderate."
