Orca Security is a cloud security platform, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) is a managed container orchestration service. Orca Security has robust security features, while AKS is more comprehensive due to its extensive features and Azure integrations.
Features: Orca Security provides comprehensive cloud asset visibility, threat detection, and competitive pricing. Azure Kubernetes Service offers advanced container orchestration, seamless Azure integrations, and scalability. Both products are valuable, but AKS's integration with Azure services adds significant value.
Room for Improvement: Users suggest Orca Security could enhance its alert management, user permission settings, and add more intuitive features. AKS users highlight the need for better documentation, troubleshooting tools, and enhanced user interface navigation.
Ease of Deployment and Customer Service: Orca Security is praised for straightforward deployment and responsive customer service. AKS deployment benefits from Azure's ecosystem but may require more specialized knowledge. AKS customer service is efficient but not as accessible as Orca's.
Pricing and ROI: Users view Orca Security's pricing as competitive, offering swift ROI through its security features. AKS pricing can be higher due to additional Azure service integrations, but users find the investment justified by its extensive capabilities.
Orca Security significantly improved our visibility from 30% to 100%, enabling better security posture improvements rather than just general cost savings.
They are very fast to respond and begin analysis to resolve problems.
I would rate the quality of support as nine stars out of ten due to their quick and helpful responses.
The expertise levels could be improved.
The support team assists with issues and provides information on new updates.
AKS offers excellent scalability due to its adaptation from Kubernetes.
When you onboard an organization, Orca will find new projects, folders, and resources without any additional effort required.
The seamless integration allows us to automatically reflect any connected project from our cloud into the console.
I believe Orca Security is scalable and can handle small and medium-enterprise businesses effectively.
From my usage, I would rate its stability as eight to nine out of ten.
It's very stable, and the support is satisfactory.
I personally have not encountered any bugs or issues with the console.
I have experienced very little downtime.
I do not experience downtime, bugs, or glitches.
The costs are rising rapidly, and we have not seen any cost reductions by moving to Azure.
It is costly compared to other solutions such as Canonical.
Another improvement is in handling alerts for multiple files with the same CVE; it should provide an option to manage each file separately without affecting others.
Orca Security could improve in reporting OS package vulnerabilities, such as missing MS patches or Linux patches.
Security in today's age is important, and if a company can afford it, they should get it as it's the most valuable protection against threats.
Transitioning to Azure did not bring cost reductions; in fact, costs are rising rapidly.
The solution is very expensive in my opinion.
The pricing for Azure Kubernetes Service seems to be around the average, which I would rate as a five out of ten.
The initial price seemed high, however, after negotiation, the final price was ideal.
Orca Security's pricing is known to be a bit high.
Its license is a bit expensive.
The most valuable features of Azure Kubernetes Service are its integration with Kubernetes, offering similar features for a seamless experience.
Since pricing is not a major concern, we chose the best fit for our application, which was specifically designed for this particular platform.
The integration with Azure Active Directory helped with the security of our applications.
Additionally, it covers a large scope of vulnerabilities, CVEs, malware, and misconfiguration.
It provided us with visibility from a central point, increasing our view from the previous thirty percent to a full one hundred percent of our cloud environment.
This technology allows for coverage of almost all cloud assets without interrupting their operations.
