Provides effective real-time threat detection with potential for cost optimization
Some features such as device control, firewall management, and file analysis are standalone products that we need to purchase separately. If these features came out of the box within the product, it would be much more beneficial for us. Other providers such as SentinelOne include these features in their base product. We attended a CrowdStrike Falcon event where they discussed some shallow AI features, but we cannot see these in our panel yet. We work with different solutions such as Darktrace and SocRadar, where AI features are automatically displayed in our dashboards after release. However, for CrowdStrike Falcon, we cannot see these features.

Pros

"The most valuable features of CrowdStrike Falcon are the AI in detecting and real-time detections."
"The platform is very scalable."
"I like the vulnerability assessment and proactive hunting features of CrowdStrike Falcon."
"We are now able to find the root cause analysis on any threat. We can figure out where the issue came in versus just dealing with where it is at the moment."
"The solution's most valuable feature is that it is robust and can detect almost every malicious activity that occurs within the endpoint."
"All the features are beneficial."
"The features we showcase to potential customers are prevention, malware protection, zero-day protection, and application scripting. Vulnerability assessment is another valuable feature."
"Easy to use, intelligent, and stable threat detection software."
"The real-time threat intelligence features are useful."
"The solution improved our overall security posture."

Cons

"I would like to see the machine learning feature enhanced."
"The solution needs to have integration with on-premises security devices and security facilities. That means all the security products, including the perimeter firewall, the DMZ."
"We sometimes get false positives."
"Deployment in cloud environments is challenging. Another concern is CrowdStrike's GUI. It changes annually, making it hard to work and find options."
"CrowdStrike Falcon could improve the logs by making them free to the API."
"The installation process for this software needs to be simplified."
"I would also like to see the endpoint firewall component produce some level of logging and feedback."
"In CrowdStrike, with the variety of security tools available, learning the different query languages can be challenging."
"More insights would be helpful. We have multiple solutions for threat intelligence. If someone has a bigger view or full eye on all the incidents, it will be beneficial."
"The solution is limited."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"CrowdStrike is a reasonably priced tool."
"CrowdStrike Falcon can be more expensive than some competitors, and its base price doesn't cover every feature."
"When it comes to licensing, customers can choose a bundle or select licences based on the specific features they would like access to. This solution comes with premium pricing. It is approximately 20 to 30% more expensive than competing solutions."
"We bought a very small number of licenses, then ran it for a year. We bought a 100 licenses for a year, so we didn't actually do a proof of concept. We just bought them. Then, the next year, we bought 10,000 licenses."
"The price of CrowdStrike Falcon is reasonable."
"Our licensing fees were between $50,000 and $60,000 per year, which was pretty expensive for a small business."

"The cost of CrowdStrike Falcon in Latin America seems high relative to the economic conditions in the region."
