Provides effective real-time threat detection with potential for cost optimization
Some features such as device control, firewall management, and file analysis are standalone products that we need to purchase separately. If these features came out of the box within the product, it would be much more beneficial for us. Other providers such as SentinelOne include these features in their base product. We attended a CrowdStrike Falcon event where they discussed some shallow AI features, but we cannot see these in our panel yet. We work with different solutions such as Darktrace and SocRadar, where AI features are automatically displayed in our dashboards after release. However, for CrowdStrike Falcon, we cannot see these features.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"CrowdStrike Falcon's most valuable feature is the fact that it's not getting in the way of our workforce and their workflow."
"Cyberattack detection is very good. We use it for detecting different vulnerabilities, such as ransomware, virus, and malware. It is a good product today when compared to Symantec that we used previously."
"I value the overall behavior analysis of CrowdStrike. The engine of this product is what drew us to this solution."
"The solution's most valuable feature is that it is robust and can detect almost every malicious activity that occurs within the endpoint."
"The biggest advantage of this solution for my customers is that it is a single solution that fulfills most of their security concerns while being easy to manage."
"We have a small IT Team, and this allows us to get sleep at night, knowing that someone else is taking care of any incidents that occur."
"As an EDR tool, we can integrate log management and event management. The solution deals with threats automatically, that's the advantage."
"The most valuable feature is the machine learning that they use to check certain patterns in the endpoint devices. It checks the whole ecosystem or entire environment."
"The solution has a component that monitors Active Directory through an agent. It also monitors end-user activity. It gives us insight into what's happening on file servers and in our domain or the directory."

Cons

"They should provide us with good visibility for everything."
"I believe nothing can be done to make CrowdStrike Falcon a ten out of ten, as I think it's one of the best solutions in the market. However, rating it a ten overall would imply there's no scope for improvement, but to survive in the market, changes must be made every day."
"On the firewall management side, there should be more granularity. There should also be more granularity for device control. Everything else is brilliant."
"As the company has grown, the technical support has felt less personal."
"The pricing structure should allow for some flexibility."
"They offered a white glove service that was extremely costly. When we got into it, we saw it was relatively easy. If I was being nitpicky, I'd say that I don't like being sold something that's unnecessary. That's the only downside I've seen to the solution."
"CrowdStrike Falcon could improve the EDR functionality. Once the functionality of the solution improves, it will be even better in the market and able to compete with Carbon Black."
"The pricing is a bit too high."
"The tool needs to improve its UI and reporting. It can also consume the resources of old machines."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing and licensing are fairly good. It is definitely not a cheap product, but I have felt that it is worth the money that we spent. So, we have discussed it in the past, and were like, "Yes, it is probably pricier than some other solutions, but we also feel they really are the leader. We are very comfortable with their level of expertise. So, it's kind of worth the price that we pay.""
"Pricing and licensing seem to be in line with what they offer. We are a smaller organization, so pricing is important. Obviously, we would make a business case if it is something we really needed or felt that we needed. So, the pricing is in line with what we are getting from a product standpoint."
"The price of CrowdStrike Falcon is expensive."
"There is no license required to use this solution."
"The price of CrowdStrike Falcon is expensive and should be reduced."
"The cost of CrowdStrike Falcon in Latin America seems high relative to the economic conditions in the region."
"The price is high in comparison to similar brands."
"The cost is usually a challenge in the industry. I think we pay around sixty-eight dollars."
"StealthINTERCEPT's pricing is reasonable."
