Continuous secret monitoring has improved our incident response and protected exposed credentials

One area for improvement in GitGuardian Platform would be reducing false positives and making alert prioritization even more precise for larger environments; more customization around notifications and remediation workflows would also help teams avoid alert fatigue as the number of repositories grows. Regarding improvements needed for GitGuardian Platform, I would appreciate more flexibility in integrations, especially with different DevOps, ticketing, and security tools used across enterprise environments; while the UI is generally easy to use, better customization of dashboards and alert views would make it easier to manage a large number of repositories. I chose eight out of ten for GitGuardian Platform mainly because there is still room for improvement in enterprise integrations and customization; for larger environments, better alert prioritization, dashboard flexibility, and integration with more DevOps and security tools would strengthen the overall experience. The main areas we discussed primarily cover everything, but beyond those, I would appreciate more granular role-based controls and easier customization of alert workflows, especially for larger teams where different groups may need different levels of visibility and access.

The product could benefit from enhanced integration capabilities with older software systems and more customizable reporting options. Improved support for mobile devices would also be advantageous, allowing team members to access the system more effectively while on the go. In the next release, we would like to see advanced analytics features, including predictive analytics to help forecast project outcomes. Additionally, a more robust mobile app with offline capabilities would be valuable for remote work scenarios.

Internal Secrets Monitoring detects hardcoded credentials across private repositories, CI/CD pipelines, container images, cloud configs, and collaboration tools like Slack, Jira, Confluence, and Google Drive, using 550+ detectors with live validity checks that confirm each secret is active before it hits your queue. Public Secrets Monitoring scans public GitHub (1B+ commits per year) and DockerHub in real time for corporate secrets exposed online. Developer Endpoint Protection extends coverage to the developer machine itself: config files, shell history, MCP configs, and files persisted by AI coding agents like Claude Code, Cursor, and Copilot. AI Hooks add runtime guardrails inside the agents, checking prompts before they are sent.

For every secret it finds, GitGuardian reveals context and blast radius. NHI Governance supplies that identity layer, discovering every machine identity across repos, CI/CD, cloud, and collaboration tools, attributing ownership, scoring risk, helping configure rotation policies, and surfacing continuous compliance evidence for PCI-DSS v4.0, NYDFS, DORA, NIS 2, and NIST 800-53.

The detection surfaces find what's leaking. The identity layer connects each leak back to who owns it and what it accesses. One closed loop, from a developer's laptop to public GitHub. Honeytokens alert teams the moment an attacker uses a decoy credential.
