The technical support ecosystem is what really makes it good.
Because they're such a big industry standard name, their products are standardized across many customers, which is why people own these products. The customer support is very good. If you need an application to do any measurement, you can easily get a hold of people to help you with it. This is a whole ecosystem. The user interface is top-notch in the industry.

Pros

"Because they're such a big industry standard name, their products are standardized across many customers, which is why people own these products."
"The technical support is good, and it has very strong customer support. They sent an engineer to us who gave us some training and tutorials."
"It's accurate, fast, has high bandwidth, and the PLTS is pretty convenient."
"The most valuable features are its quality and reliability... The good thing about the GUI interface which is, of course, software-based, is that you can record and save your test setup."
"But I would highly recommend this product."
"Before silicon came back, our customers' performance was affected. Using these tools, we are able to deliver performance to our customers."
"The user interface is very good, very graphical. It provides a lot of help in using and operating it."
"When it comes to grabbing precise technical data, having an ecosystem of logging it correctly and working with the diagnostics, they are probably the industry leaders in the field."
"The most valuable feature would be the bandwidth."
"There is not really a learning curve."

Cons

"It's very expensive because this type of equipment is not so common."
"I would like more accuracy, particularly for multiport measurements."
"Sometimes, it's quite hard to get the technical support to come onsite. If we run into a hardware, measurement, or software issue, we may have to wait a long time for them to come."
"We tried to connect multiple computers with a KVM switch but we could not do that using Keysight VNA. Keysight VNA comes with the PC inside it. We have other equipment as well, and we tried to combine it so that we had one monitor to control everything. With Keysight we could not do it. That's something of an inconvenience."
"Everybody is looking for more automation support, so that if they can incorporate more protocols. It makes it easier."
"I am not really impressed with the GUI since it has not changed in almost 20 years (since I first began using the product). While the GUI part is okay, I can live with it."
"They can improve, but I don't know how."
"There is a learning curve, depends on the client equipment that I am working with."
"I had to change the probes to higher frequency probes."
"The memory needs improvement."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"While I don't have transparency on the pricing, it works within my budget."
"If we rented the product, it would be more affordable than buying new."
"The cost is always a struggle. We always wish that we could do more for less."
"The pricing is always high."
"It's expensive, but the quality matters."
"They're not cheap."
"The pricing is very expensive, but with leading technology, nothing is cheap."
"Pricing can be improved a bit. They try to make the pricing competitive but I think there are times that the competitors have good pricing."
"The pricing was good."
"For the 4-channel big display, you have to upgrade to 500 MHz."
