The technical support ecosystem is what really makes it good.
Because they're such a big industry standard name, their products are standardized across many customers, which is why people own these products. The customer support is very good. If you need an application to do any measurement, you can easily get a hold of people to help you with it. This is a whole ecosystem. The user interface is top-notch in the industry.

The most valuable feature would be the bandwidth
It is a general purpose scope with 4-channel 300 MHz.  The application space that this solution targets is the embedded system of my products. Typically, the signals that we are measuring are digital, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), wireless, and Zigbee The most valuable feature would be the…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The user interface has never been better. They improved it a few years ago with a more modern oscilloscope interface and it's easier to use, even for more junior people in our lab."
"It can go up to a very high frequency, up to 120 gigahertz. And the user interface is really good. It's really easy to navigate."
"It has the highest bandwidth and resolution on the market."
"I use the serial decoder for the serial interfaces, which helps me debug my product quickly."
"Before silicon came back, our customers' performance was affected. Using these tools, we are able to deliver performance to our customers."
"Its 4 port has true differential with quite a few de-embedding features. It goes up to 40 GHz with high performance."
"It's easier to automate and connect with multiple devices, and at the same time with laptops."
"It's accurate, fast, has high bandwidth, and the PLTS is pretty convenient."
"The most valuable feature would be the bandwidth."

Cons

"There is a learning curve depends on the client that I am working with. E.g., if I'm working with a client, and they have a test and measurement equipment company, when I go to another company, the new company may not be using the same model."
"Sometimes, it's quite hard to get the technical support to come onsite. If we run into a hardware, measurement, or software issue, we may have to wait a long time for them to come."
"I would like to see the possibility of interacting with the software, new features for software post-processing. For example, once you're done measuring, it would be nice to be able to generate some data starting from the measurement data."
"I would like them to build in more high-speed functions, such as FEC or PCIe, built into the array. PERT to be built-in for more specific product call. These would make our lives much easier."
"Some of the models have only two ports. It takes much longer to use a two-port. If they had a four-port, it would be much better."
"I would like more customized functions, so we can do the programming and definitions ourselves. There is an automation flow to capture this signal, and we would like to do this ourselves."
"The integration between different software and hardware panels could be improved. In the software, it's not as strong as the other solutions."
"I would like to see better post-processing data utility tools like a de-embedding."
"The memory needs improvement."
"I had to change the probes to higher frequency probes."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The cost is always a struggle. We always wish that we could do more for less."
"It's expensive, but the quality matters."
"While I don't have transparency on the pricing, it works within my budget."
"The pricing is on the high side."
"They're not cheap."
"Pricing always is very expensive. There's no free lunch."
"It would be good if it were a little bit cheaper, of course."
"Our solution is upgradable. However, upgrading depends on how much money the company is willing to spend, because each upgrade will take a million dollars."
"For the 4-channel big display, you have to upgrade to 500 MHz."
"The pricing was good."
