Provides strong detection capabilities but requires improvements in parsing and stability
I cannot think of any specific features that LogRhythm SIEM can improve upon since it supports a wide variety of major vendors. However, they need to improve their parsing techniques; the tool should understand various devices and present data in a human-readable format. For example, if a personal Android mobile needs to be integrated, LogRhythm SIEM should be able to parse that data effectively. They also need to improve their database of supported devices to cover smaller vendors alongside the major players, allowing for better global reach and usability. I have noticed some problems with parsing errors, event mismatches, and data mismatching, so ensuring accurate parsing and continuous improvement according to device updates are my basic expectations as a detection engineer.

Technical support is knowledgeable and quick to respond
It is used for compliance Gathering information Scheduling It needs to have better reporting.  More than five years. We have not encountered any issues with stability. We have not encountered any issues with scalability. I would rate the technical support very well as they are…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"For me, the NERC compliance modules are probably the best thing, and the system monitors really pick up a lot for me, helping you get an eagle-eye view and then delve down granularly, and the ease of that is pretty amazing."
"A lot of customers recommended it, because of the built-in rules, and the out-of-the-box configuration is much better than Splunk, and given our team size and our internal resources, we made the decision to go with LogRhythm."
"The ability to investigate a particular period of time where you can analyze logs is its most valuable feature."
"Technical support has always been helpful."
"LogRhythm has shown to us, to this point in time, that it has the capabilities of being able to deliver actionable intelligence to the security engineers and analysts."
"In terms of alarms and AI intelligence, we see that LogRhythm is giving more accurate and meaningful events compared to the others."
"For what it does, LogRhythm works pretty well."
"It is a very good solution; it is very robust and very extensive."
"We have not encountered any issues with stability."
"I would rate the technical support very well as they are knowledgeable and quick to respond."

Cons

"Scalability-wise, it's not that great."
"Right now there is the concern about being able to gather all of the data into the system."
"This product is in general for medium-sized companies. For bigger companies with millions of logs coming in, it just cannot support them."
"The reporting on the dashboard should be improved from a management perspective. It would be helpful if they adjusted the colors and the presentation to make things clearer and easier to read."
"The biggest thing I want is, right now you have thick console and the web console. Most of the reporting has to be done in the thick console. I'd love more reporting in the web console."
"The integration is slightly difficult with other assets, like EDR technologies or firewalls."
"I'm not sure if I would recommend the solution to others as they still need to improve a few things."
"The customer support system is time-consuming."
"It was very complex. There was poor native correlation. "

"It needs to have better reporting. "

Pricing and Cost Advice

"If you don't have your staff, absolutely look into the co-pilot and factor that into your cost evaluation."
"The pricing is very reasonable and accessible compared to other products in the market but I am not very sure about the exact licensing cost per year for our company."
"In comparison to the competition, they are more affordable. This allows us to do more with less."
"The support which allows more customized to the environment when we are deploying new systems is called Professional Service and is very expensive. The technical annual support and there is an annual fee."
"I have seen a measurable decrease in the mean time to detect and respond to threats. We went from not detecting them to detecting them. We can actually pick up what is anomalous in our network now."
"LogRhythm's pricing and licensing is extremely competitive and it's one of the top three reasons we continue to invest in the platform."
"I would rate the tool's pricing around eight out of ten."
"We work with French-speaking African countries, and it costs more than the average SIEM solution. Also, the pricing isn't too flexible. AlienVault, Splunk, and IBM QRadar are more suitable for customers on a tight budget."
"Do a PoC. Make it detailed so it can help later."
