Has consistently supported integration across diverse environments and streamlined deployment processes
Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics could improve their pricing structure. They currently have two separate pricing tiers: full log and partial log. I suggest they implement a single price and reduce charges on logs. They could implement a cap with some free tier or price tier based on the GBs of log collected. This would help customers use Azure more effectively. Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics is an excellent product because it includes both SIEM and orchestration capabilities with playbooks, but the log management part is very costly. Regarding future improvements, I would appreciate more application connectors for integration, particularly for on-premise based solutions. Many customers still maintain on-premise infrastructure, so having more integration possibilities for these environments would be beneficial.

"The product is easy to use."
"I loved the simplicity of loading the data and simply relying on the self-tuning capabilities of ADW."
"The solution is used for analytics and it works for our data security needs."
"It is an extremely scalable solution since you can dynamically change the resources as some other cloud solutions."
"I really like the auto-tuning, auto-scaling, and the automatic load balancing and query tuning in the system."
"The analytics have been very good. We've found them to be quite useful."
"The solution is used for analytics and it works for our data security needs."

Cons

"We encountered data processing and transformation issues while working with Apache Spark languages for the product."
"Its stability is an issue. They have been releasing a version every six months to one year, which means that there are many versions available, and clients are not up to speed on the latest one that they're offering. From a stability point of view, they could do better. They're still upgrading their Synapse Analytics workspace, and it is not that stable. Its scalability can also be better."
"Non-structured data is unavailable with this product."
"Synapse Analytics is generally stable, but its performance can be slow when performing very large datasets."
"Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics could improve in usability. I have found the same issue with all Microsoft solutions."
"In the future, Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics has the potential to enhance its capabilities by expanding its connectors, specifically with regard to Oracle solutions, such as operating systems. This would involve a comprehensive approach to adding more connectors for both data input and consumption purposes. By doing so, Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics would be better equipped to meet the diverse needs of its users and achieve greater efficiency in its performance. The provision of more connectors is definitely a crucial area that needs improvement."
"Could have more connectors and better integration for Hadoop."
"The solution does not support oriented scaling in the synapse."
"The installation process is complex. Oracle can make the installation process better."
"The setup is complex."
"An improvement for us would be the inclusion of support for an internal IP, so we could use it directly with the VCN in Oracle Cloud."
"Ease of connectivity could be improved."
"The solution lacks visibility options."
"There is a need for more storage to be allocated, but over a period of time, it becomes impossible to reduce it after using it."
"Sometimes the solution works differently between the cloud and on-premises. It needs to be more consistent and predictable."
"I would like to see Application Express and Oracle R Enterprise fully supported, and I would like to see Oracle Data Mining supported as a front end."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics is an expensive solution and there is a license needed to use it. My company has an enterprise license."
"The solution is very expensive because it often requires the purchase of additional storage."
"The price of Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics can vary. Other solutions are typically fixed prices and a fixed cost regardless of usage, but this solution is based on usage or consumption."
"Microsoft's pricing is relatively high, and it varies according to the extent of our usage. The pricing is directly tied to our consumption. This decision is ultimately a business choice."
"Price varies by use-case. You pay for the database itself in addition to any consumed data within Serverless plus other fees if you use the Data Factory that is inside."
"The costs are billed such that we pay for what we use, which is a good thing."
"It requires a less expensive version because currently, not every customer is able to buy it. If it could have a smaller setup that doesn't require so many resources, it would be helpful, and we would be able to use it in more cases. We are a small country, and most of our customers are quite small businesses."
"I understand that Synapse Analytics' pricing is lower than Informatica's."
"On a scale from one to ten, where one is a low price and ten is a high price, I rate the pricing an eight."
"The licensing cost of the product can vary since you can integrate it very easily with other products or other cloud products...You pay as you use it, so it is not yearly or monthly payments to be made toward Oracle."
"Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse's pricing is fair and reasonable compared to the other cloud vendors."
"You pay as you go, and you don't pay for services that you don't use."
"In terms of architecture and pricing structure, I feel it is a little bit costly compared to Azure. It's fine compared to RedShift, but compared to Azure, it's a bit pricey when you calculate for one TB storage plus around five hours of reporting with the frequency of 1TB data. The cost adds up, making Oracle a bit expensive."
"The solution is expensive."
"The price depends on the configuration we choose."
"Cloud solutions are cheaper, but in the long run, they may not be much cheaper. They certainly have a lower initial cost. The licensing is yearly, and it is based on the size of the hardware and the number of users."
