Manages extensive utility billing applications efficiently with trusted performance and robust support
Currently, I have a very good experience with Oracle Multitenant. The pluggable database is easy to handle and manage, sharing resources efficiently. However, Oracle license pricing is an issue due to its high cost. Our organization is compelled to reduce CPU usage by seventy CPUs because the Oracle license cost depends on it.

Users appreciate the mix of in-memory architecture and ease of backend management
The most valuable SAP HANA features are that, compared to Oracle, there is less administrative work and less complex work to handle, making it very straightforward. The tool itself takes care of the backend work. The main benefits SAP HANA provides to users include its architecture, which combines both column store and row store capabilities. Some places find the row feature important, whereas others find column store important. It allows some tables to be stored in a column base, others in a row base, and the In-Memory functionalities are mostly the highlight of SAP HANA, especially compared to disk-based memory users. This was the main reason SAP HANA was introduced initially.

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The stability of Oracle Multitenant is excellent, and I would rate it a nine out of ten."
"The best thing about Oracle Multitenant is its ability to consolidate multiple databases into one engine."
"Multitenant has a container database with many pluggable databases."
"It's easy to use and works great."
"I would rate the scalability a ten out of ten. Our clients are mostly medium and enterprise businesses."
"The feature that I like on Multitenant is the ease - it is very easy for my team to run the database."
"It is quite stable. We have not faced any kind of instability in the database."
"Maintaining databases is a valuable feature for us."
"As I only worked part-time on SAP HANA, I did not have the opportunity to explore the advanced features of the solution. However, I did work with basic features, such as user administration and access controls for the accounting department. The feature that stood out to me the most was the Single Sign-On and user administration, backup, and server management. My experience with SAP HANA was mainly focused on basic server improvements."
"It's easy to use, and the Hana Studio is pretty good."
"The initial setup is straightforward. It usually takes around eight months but it depends on a customer's requirements. We can spend a month or two customizing."
"We like that the product is both vertically and horizontally scalable, allowing us to do around 86 percent compression of documentation from 50 to seven terabytes."
"It's very convenient and very innovative."
"The solution is stable."
"The feature that I like the most is that we can transport the data to our web data application. SAP HANA's performance is really perfect. We're working on big data, and SAP HANA is really working on high performance. We are happy working with it."
"This is a feature-rich product and I like all of them."

Cons

"This solution is a bit complicated when collecting from containers - that feature should be a bit better."
"The user interface for this solution can be made better."
"The solution lacks a GUI for commands."
"Oracle license pricing is an issue due to its high cost. Our organization is compelled to reduce CPU usage by seventy CPUs because the Oracle license cost depends on it."
"While the product is overall excellent, it is quite expensive."
"There are many functions where changes are not easy to implement, and we try to avoid modifying these areas due to security issues and the complexity of maintaining them."
"That said, Oracle in general doesn't invest in their UI for any of their applications. If we're talking about the dashboard or other user experience, there is room for improvement. I'm talking about on premises. The cloud version has started to improve."
"It can be complicated to scale up the solution, but it's scalable."
"What needs improvement in SAP HANA is its automation, in particular, it needs more enhancements in that area."
"The user interface and CRM need to be more user-friendly."
"Ease of use could be improved in SAP HANA. I like SAP because SAP solutions can be used by anyone, which means even laymen can start working on SAP tools, but in SAP HANA modeling, you'll need to know some other technologies and sequel scripting, and you need a separate skillset, so if you don't have the skillset, you won't be able to work on SAP HANA. Making SAP HANA low-code would make it even better."
"The openness of the system could be more developed. The solution should go into the cloud. The cloud mechanism should be more invested."
"HANA could be improved by adding analytics and development models in the institution."
"Unlike other databases, it lacks management features that legacy databases like Oracle or SQL servers have. They need to make the solution easier to manage and offer tools that make management more effective. A lot of things you have on traditional databases you have to develop into HANA."
"SAP HANA is not perfect and they could improve by having more options and more integration."
"The SAP HANA interface has room for improvement because it takes more work to manage than the Microsoft SQL Server interface."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"This solution is a little bit pricey."
"The price is worth the quality."
"For me, I will go with it if I have the budget. Some features are nicer than before, but at the end of the day, you always have a limited budget. I prefer to upgrade and get a specific hardware when possible. At the end, you will have to make a compromise. You will not get everything you would have liked to have."
"Setup and licensing require planning and proper budgeting, as it is not cheap."
"SAP HANA is very expensive here in China. My company bought the SAP ERP suite, which includes SAP HANA. For others who use SAP HANA as an analytical database, CPU numbers will affect the pricing, so as a solution, it's costly."
"The solution's license is very expensive so I rate pricing a one out of ten."
"The tool’s subscription is yearly."
"The tool has a high price. I rate the solution’s pricing, one on a scale of ten, where one is expensive and ten is cheap."
"We are spending about 20,000 to 30,000 euros on the solution."
"We pay $200 on a monthly basis."
"We pay annually for the license of the solution."
