Unified data workflows have empowered collaborative analytics and streamlined AI development
Regarding points for improvement for Palantir Foundry, I see that they are improving day by day. In the last one to two years, I have seen many improvements compared to the two years that I have worked on Palantir Foundry. There are many things that come up, but a few things are not intuitive enough. Now that we are in this AI phase, Palantir Foundry has created some wrappers around the models, allowing us to create using a no-code application, chatbots, and LLM functions. The problem is that interaction with outside applications can be difficult with the current setup that Palantir Foundry has. There are ways to do that, but it is not that intuitive, which is what I feel.

Real-time monitoring has improved our banking API performance and supports detailed business transaction analysis
The real-time monitoring is what we can see for anything that is needed in terms of CPU, memory, or the connections or the sessions related. It's real-time monitoring of performance of each of the components, which is what we need and use all the time. It's highly effective, I would say. Infrastructure visibility, transaction monitoring, to check the actual user experience in terms of the response time, MRT and all those things. We do the component monitoring like the API performance and the connections and all those things, but we also do the business process monitoring and business transaction monitoring.

Pros

"Palantir Foundry is a robust platform that has really strong plugin connectors and provides features for real-time integration."
"Encapsulates all the components without the requirement to integrate or check compatibility."
"This product has all the various components for getting data, transforming it and visually creating the dashboards without the need to integrate things and no need to check the compatibility."
"The interface is really user-friendly."
"The predictive analytics capability within Palantir Foundry impacts financial forecasting strategies through its AIP functionality, which includes numerous pre-built models, LLMs, and data science application libraries."
"The ease of use is my favorite feature. We're able to build different models and projects or combine different projects to build one use case."
"The solution provides an end-to-end integrated tech stack that takes care of all utility/infrastructure topics for you."
"It has been the platform for end to end data processing, manipulations, and reporting, greatly improved org's data reporting effort."
"The real user monitoring helps us evaluate our customers' real experiences, which is valuable as an eCommerce company."
"After a major incident, root cause analysis is conducted and, most of the time, we understand what caused the incident and how it can be prevented from happening again."
"Saving time is definitely the main point with Splunk AppDynamics for quickly resolving problems, because whenever they are facing an issue, they quickly identify the root cause, can proceed with fixing it, and these things help with better performance and a better customer experience that definitely helps them get more financial benefits."
"The key benefits it offers us are that it helps us know the infrastructure and performance issues, as well as if a customer is experiencing latency issues, ahead of time so we can act on them proactively and improve the customer experience."
"The features of Splunk AppDynamics that I appreciate most are the business processes, which benefit my organization by providing a bigger picture, not only of their own systems, however, how it influences other parts of the environment and how we are being influenced by other parts."
"Quicker turnaround on finding/resolving issues or improving performance, which leads to improved client experiences."
"APM really helps us in getting down to the bottom of these sorts of workloads; how code responds to these sorts of workloads and how we can make our application deliver better latency and a better end-user experience."
"The AppDyniamics technical support is good; we haven't had any problems with them and they answer very quickly."

Cons

"Customer service is 3/10."
"AppD is really cool and a unified solution for both APM and APM centric analytics side, but this process is a little bit manual."
"The tool is expensive."
"It's difficult to install. AppDynamics uses multiple agents."
"AppDynamics is really pricey as it requires licenses for every feature."
