The solution provides endpoint detection and response with a nice-looking dashboard
The solution is easily scalable because it's in the cloud and we can push the agents using our Cafea solution. We can even deploy the applications to our remote branches easily. We currently have four people using the solution and if the number of computers increases we can scale up by increasing the number of licenses.
Harel Cohen - PeerSpot reviewer
Offers excellent endpoint protection and great stability
Technically speaking, the customer support is okay, but the responsiveness needs to be improved. I'm referring to the universal support, as the Israeli staff are excellent and always willing to help. However, opening a case and entering into a back-and-forth with emails takes too much time. It should be working more quickly and smoothly.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Sophos EPP Suite is a powerful antivirus."
"The central management console is valuable, as it consolidates everything into one place, allowing users to access logs and events without visiting multiple websites or consoles."
"The most valuable feature is the central administration and management."
"The product’s selling point is its ability to protect against zero-day threats and its integration with the firewall."
"In terms of the Firewall, the EAP assist, the simple interface and the reporting features are quite good for clients. It's very easy to understand and to navigate the Dashboard."
"The solution's setup is straightforward and doesn't take much time to complete."
"It's very simple to use. The managing of the endpoints is very easy."
"The solution efficiently protects the servers for our customers."
"DLP, Data Loss Prevention, and the complexity of how we manage the console and how this client, or this tool, will notify us when there is something going wrong within the server and endpoint, is good."
"The agentless protection is very nice in Trend Micro."
"The initial setup was straightforward."
"Patch management is most valuable. The major selling point of Deep Security is that it is based on the cloud. Deep Security is for the servers and databases of data centers, and generally, for patch management, you have to shut down the machines, and then you have to restart them. So, they need shutdown time, which is a cost. Big enterprises don't want to shut down their database or their data center for any kind of patch. Deep Security creates a wall and downloads all patches. You install it on the cloud. So, it saves your server from any kind of intrusion or any kind of penetration, and whenever you get a chance or time, in six, eight, or nine months, you can physically download or install all those patches in one go. So, it saves you time. It also saves your shutdown time and keeps your data center safe."
"They release timely updates and have efficient prediction features for threat detection."
"The customer service/technical support for this solution is very fast."
"In terms of valuable features, I would say its intrusion prevention. Each and every IP connecting to the server gets scanned so we know everyone who is accessing our server and we can block whichever IP's do not belong to us at the firewall."
"We've found stability to be great so far."

Cons

"The solution’s performance could be improved for the end-users."
"If we could bypass the first couple of levels of support when we have a problem then it would be easier and quicker when we need an issue resolved."
"With Sophos EPP Suite, inventory cannot be checked, and external applications cannot be installed."
"The encryption features are not as good as McAfee's."
"The support could be improved. The response times are slow."
"The solution could improve in configuration and the central logging and dashboard."
"The solution is not easy to use in comparison to other endpoint security solutions."
"Sophos is lacking in the granularity of optimization, so having more control would be better."
"Deep Security's most valuable features are antivirus and host intrusion detection."
"Post-implementation is time-consuming. You have to do monitoring, and that takes time. After you set up everything, it's not a full-fledged implementation. You have to keep on monitoring and configuring."
"The working interface and the reports for non-technical people could use improvement. They are a bit scary."
"The setup is fairly complex. The deployment took around two months."
"The tool should integrate SIM functionality. It should also improve customer support."
"The tool needs to improve its subscription."
"The implementation can be inflexible and not easy, as it requires knowledge of things like virtualization and administration on Windows."
"Another issue is if I want to suggest this solution to a customer, we won't get the pricing immediately, which is a major problem."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"My company has a yearly license agreement with Sophos EPP Suite."
"The tool’s price is the same as its competitors."
"The pricing for this solution is ok."
"The product is inexpensive, and we receive good discount offers from our product partners."
"The pricing is reasonable."
"I rate the price of Sophos EPP Suite a four out of five."
"The solution for an enterprise license costs around 13 million Philippine pesos."
"Willing to discount when you are switching from another product. Upgrading services will end up costing more, as expected."
"The AWS licensing model is scalable and easy to use, but could do with tiered discounts. I am not sure how well this model will scale when we start to use Auto Scaling with AWS resources."
"It's more expensive than other solutions, such as Sophos and Kaspersky, as an endpoint solution."
"CrowdStrike had an advantage over Trend Micro when it came to pricing. Trend Micro had several modules, so it was a little priced up, but CrowdStrike was not. However, even CrowdStrike has increased their price now, so probably both of them are on par, but the number of modules that Trend Micro has is far more than CrowdStrike. It comes with file integrity monitoring, application control, and web reputation. It has outbound URL protection, and it also has ransomware protection for servers, whereas CrowdStrike Falcon is a straightforward solution."
"We are paying approximately $50,000 each month, it's definitely expensive."
"We do pay-as-you-go pricing, which is good for us. We are working with Trend Micro's sales rep to see if we can have something similar for on-premise."
"The tool's pricing is high."
"The solution is considerably cheaper than other similar solutions."
"Trend Micro Deep Security is average compared to other products on the market; it's neither particularly expensive nor cheap."
