AI-powered discovery enhances threat visibility while customer support excels
I am a reseller. One of our customers suffered an attack a few months ago, and they discovered that they have some data available on the deep and dark web. The biggest driver for using ThreatMon was takedown services. SIEM integration into their incident response was also essential. They wanted…

Built faster threat response and improved visibility with real-time monitoring and flexible deployment
Trend Vision One allows us to monitor attacks in real time, which is a significant benefit. We can quickly see where the attack is coming from. Trend Vision One enables us to use different products with a flexible license. For example, if a customer is using endpoint security and wants to switch to another solution, they can instantly use a different Trend Micro product, such as email. Trend Vision One has helped to reduce the time to detect and respond to different threats, as it can respond to attacks very quickly. With playbook templates, in cases of recurring attacks, responses can be made quickly using predefined playbooks. Trend Vision One has helped to reduce noise from false positives. There have been false positives before, but it was due to the customer not telling us which app they were using. Best practice configurations must be applied properly to avoid such issues. Trend Vision One helps customers consolidate the use of security vendors and reduce silos by offering one platform for all product management.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"I would recommend ThreatMon."
"Machine learning or AI discovery, which discovers our resources on the deep and dark web, has been very useful."
"Trend Vision One helps reduce my mean time to detect and respond to threats as without it, we would be scrambling and confused with not much information to go off of for threat hunting."
"What I like the most about Trend Micro XDR is that the detection and response domain extends to the network. It goes beyond the endpoint and includes data about the network which lets you pinpoint patient zero as well as the root cause of the attack."
"Our speed has increased significantly."
"The setup is fairly simple."
"I would definitely recommend Trend Vision One to others."
"I'm satisfied with the level of coverage. The policies have been very useful and detailed."
"It has good vulnerability protection."
"I can prevent my environment from different types of attacks based on what I see in the Vision One console."

Cons

"ThreatMon is very expensive."
"We are looking at a better pricing model to onboard as many customers as possible."
"Trend Vision One could bring in more data loss prevention capabilities specifically on the endpoints, as the current offering lacks some important capabilities."
"Improving the user interface would be helpful—it can be confusing, especially if you do not use it daily."
"Trend Vision One requires several enhancements for optimal performance."
"Integration with other tools and deploying in hybrid environments need improvement."
"For XDR threat investigation, there is not enough documentation about how to search for different keywords."
"The zero trust is a bit complicated compared to other parts of the solution."
"Vision One's search could be improved. While the platform is very user-friendly, the search feature uses terms that aren't as intuitive."
"We've received some mild complaints that the documentation is sometimes not up to date."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"Vision One's pricing is extremely competitive. They're probably the lowest-cost provider that has this feature set."
"It is costly. It is not that affordable for a small organization. Only big organizations can afford it. It is a new feature that has been added, so its price is fair. Its licensing is probably subscription-based. It is for one or two years."
"They've introduced a credit system, where we purchase credits and then allocate them to the specific services we need active."
"The pricing is fair compared to other solutions."
"The pricing for Trend Vision One is reasonable."
"Competitors offer comparable solutions at slightly lower prices, so Vision One has room to reduce its pricing by 15 percent, given that Trend Vision One charges approximately $10 per endpoint."
"The price is reasonable. It's not exorbitant. CrowdStrike and other players are on the higher side."
"I do not have much visibility to it. It is definitely not a cheap product, but to my knowledge, it is out there with the big wigs in the industry, such as CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, and other EDR/XDR vendors. I had heard, and found out eventually, that their sales teams are very flexible, as more sales teams are."
