Easy to setup and allows tracking of each department's work, facilitating insight into departmental activities and progress
Pros and Cons
  • "We were able to track each department's work and what they were doing inside the actual department. Gantt charts are useful to track departmental progress and operation, or we are that item stuff."
  • "The only room for improvement over here is a feature related to the trend, like AI-related things that we can expect need to be introduced."

What is our primary use case?

I'm using it for both internal and external project management. So it's a great application.

We were able to track each department's work and what they were doing inside the actual department. Gantt charts are useful to track departmental progress and operation, or we are that item stuff.

What needs improvement?

The only room for improvement over here is a feature related to the trend, like AI-related things that we can expect need to be introduced.

Also, there is little room for improvement in scalability.

For how long have I used the solution?

I'm using Zoho Projects and then Zoho Help Desk. I have been using Zoho Projects for the last five years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I would rate the stability a nine out of ten because the only room for improvement over here is a feature related to the trend, like AI-related things that we can expect these things, need to be introduced.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I would rate the scalability a nine out of ten. So, there is little room for improvement in scalability. That will be for additional features and related things.

There are 50+ users in my organization using this solution.

How was the initial setup?

The initial steps and setup are easy initially.

Zoho Projects is pretty straightforward, and there is no room for improvement at the moment because it's quite easy for end-users and a user-friendly solution.

What about the implementation team?

I deployed it in nearly two or three organizations within, let's say, within one and a half months, all deployment has been completed.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Compared to other solutions in the same space, it is a cheap solution.

What other advice do I have?

Overall, I would rate the solution a nine out of ten.

If anyone wants scalability and project management within the advanced or inter-departmental activity, they can try this tool and experience how things are moving from department to department, task to task, or person to person. They can see the actual progress by using Gantt charts.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

The product is customizable, and it provides visibility across projects, but the UI and UX must be improved
Pros and Cons
  • "We can customize the tool."
  • "The UI and UX must be improved."

What is our primary use case?

We use the solution for project planning and tracking.

What is most valuable?

The product has all the complexities that we need for difficult projects. We can customize the tool. It delivers what we want.

What needs improvement?

It is hard to integrate the tool with Microsoft Excel. It worked well initially. However, with system changes, the integrations become difficult. The UI and UX must be improved. It seems a little bit cluttered.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using the solution for three years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I rate the stability a seven and a half out of ten. We had downtime once or twice.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The tool is fairly scalable. I rate the scalability an eight out of ten. We had a very small team of 30 users.

How are customer service and support?

A local vendor who had a partnership with Zoho provided us with support. After the support ended, we worked directly with Zoho. Zoho’s support team is fairly responsive. The team does a good job. I rate the support a seven and a half out of ten.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Neutral

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I have worked with Microsoft Project. It was a desktop solution, and Zoho Projects is a cloud solution. I have also tried Jira. It is more into incident management than project management.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup is easy. We can deploy the tool quickly. We took five months to deploy the product because we customized it. The solution is cloud-based.

What about the implementation team?

We had subcontracted the development. It is very easy to maintain the product. We need one person for the maintenance.

What was our ROI?

The productivity gains and the visibility across projects are our return on investment.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The product is fairly priced. We had a fairly good deal. We paid an annual subscription fee.

What other advice do I have?

The solution provided us with an option for premium support, but we had not taken it since we were supported by a partner who implemented it. We learned everything, and we manage it now. It's a good solution to have. We can manage more than 50 projects simultaneously using the tool. Overall, I rate the solution a seven out of ten.
