Our use cases for Scality RING include data analytics and AI. Our business is in the insurance industry, and we're using it for claims processing and claims payment. We're using it for audio-video transcripts and digital imaging capture, especially when there are pictures to be attached to a claim for damages and repairs. We also use it for audio-video recordings for when the claim agent talks to customers through an application called Mockingbird. Our data analytics teams utilize Scality RING extensively to analyze customer profiles based on their protection plans and to make recommendations.

The most important use case in terms of data volume is for Commvault for backup. We also have Veeam deployed, which we use for Veeam Cloud Connect and Veeam M365 Backup. We secure these on Scality RING. The third use case is for our Veeam customers, to whom we provide S3 storage, and they use it for other applications. We don't know which all of these applications are, but among them include Rubrik, Veeam, and one customer stores some laboratory data on S3.

Regarding our main use cases with Scality RING, I interact more with the customers who use the solution. I'm more involved in an organization where I manage all the logistics surrounding the RING, including incident management, support, upgrades, and maintenance of the infrastructure. As for usage, I don't use it much because it's not my job, but I run a few tests at certain times, when we're doing upgrades or rolling out new features to customers, to test them before making them available. The main feature our customers use on Scality RING is mainly archiving, consultation, and, very recently, versioning and versioning implementation.
I work with Scality RING for storage, and we have a concrete strategy to offer it to business customers. Many customers use it for different purposes, but a common use case is for user computer backups.
