Azure Blob Storage Reviews

For Azure Blob Storage, I am creating the storage accounts and assigning those for the particular teams which have required the storage and granting the permissions as per their requirements. I utilize Azure Blob Storage by creating the storage account and creating the blob storage and granting the permissions to the teams who have required the blob storage. They are using those storage accounts and the blob storage for their purpose.

The first thing I find really useful about Azure Blob Storage is that it is a cloud service running on the cloud. Using cloud storage, all the things are actually running on the cloud and they are managed by the cloud vendor. Microsoft is managing the backend things. I am just monitoring and managing the things, and I do not need to think about the physical things, upgrades, and all those things. That is managed by the OEM, which is a good thing. Additionally, it is globally available anywhere, so there are advantages in communications with the clients and all those things from that side.

The main benefit that Azure Blob Storage provides for me is redundancy. They have multiple types of redundancy from the storage perspective, such as local redundant storage and zone redundant storage. Data will be available anytime, and that kind of assurance they are giving us is actually the main reason I can say for the Azure perspective.

Access is one area where Azure Blob Storage can improve, as they have multiple types of storage. In Blob Storage, they also have file shares and queue storage. I have not seen any issues with Azure Blob Storage right now, and the access features allow us to grant the minimum level of access to the users, so users can only read the data. I can say those are also good features from an Azure Blob Storage perspective, and I have not seen anything negative there.

I would like to see a proper monitoring dashboard provided by Azure Blob Storage so I can see the usage and all those things. If I can see the IOPS utilization, it would help me understand how many users are connected, how much size is used, and how much data is there. A monitoring kind of application, such as a graphical user interface (GUI), may really help us.

The initial setup for Azure Blob Storage is right now simple, but they could improve the implementation in the future, particularly around configuration, access-related management, and related things.

I have not evaluated Azure Blob Storage against other products, but based on what is going on in the markets, I assume that if I compare cloud to physical infrastructure, the cloud may be costly.

I can integrate Azure Blob Storage with other Azure services. It is working fine and I have not seen any issues with the integration between Azure Blob Storage and other Azure services; it is working smoothly. I have not had experience with the tiered storage option in Azure Blob Storage. I give this review an overall rating of nine.

Azure Blob Storage is a cloud product that runs on the cloud. Using traditional storage, all things are managed by Microsoft. We are just monitoring and managing the things, so we don't need to think about the physical upgrades because those are managed by the OEM. That is a good thing, and Azure Blob Storage is globally available anywhere, allowing for good communication with clients and taking advantage from that side.

We can integrate Azure Blob Storage with other Azure services. There are no issues with integration between Azure Blob Storage and other Azure services; it is working smoothly.

I do have experience with the Tiered storage option in Azure Blob Storage. I want to explore further where there are layers of storage for secure data.

Azure Blob Storage provides redundancy because there are multiple types of redundancies for the storage perspective, like local redundant storage, ensuring data will be available anytime. That is the main reason I can speak for Azure Blob Storage from that perspective.

A proper monitoring dashboard would help, allowing us to see the usage and IO utilization. If there is any monitoring application, it could help us get more information about how many users are connected and how much space is used.

The current setup is simple, but there is room for improvement in the implementation and in the future, perhaps in configuration and access management.

Azure VMware Solution, which is abbreviated as AVS, is a VMware solution that I am using. I am not using any other Azure solutions beyond Azure Blob Storage, and most of the storage is Azure Blob Storage, which is what I am working with. Pricing depends on the type of data we are keeping and where we are keeping it. If we are using the hot tier or cold tier, I would rate it five points compared to other solutions. I won't get the comparison with other products, but based on what is happening in the market, I assume that the cloud is more costly than physical infrastructure. I don't know definitively if we purchased the Azure solution directly from Microsoft because we were not in a decision-making situation. My overall review rating for Azure Blob Storage is nine.
