The solution can be used for printing.
What is our primary use case?
What is most valuable?
It's very affordable.
Brother is a very good product.
Its toners are much cheaper than HP and the yield of the toners is much more on a single cartridge. For a toner, it's much more than HP, as far as the price is concerned, and they don't have a chip inside, unlike HP. Brother can be used with compatible cartridges.
It is very famous for desktop and network models in Pakistan. In banks, it is used often. They have around ten to 15 banks using Brother in the country.
It is very easy to use, even for non-technical people like executives. It's very simple to take out the paper.
The product is very easy to configure. It's simple to set up.
The solution is stable.
It's scalable.
Technical support has always been helpful and available.
What needs improvement?
We'd like it if they could reduce the price of their consumables, such as ink and toner. It can get pricey.
For how long have I used the solution?
We've been working with the solution for more than 20 years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
The solution is very stable. We have handled the printers for the last 15 years and we have not gotten any printers back from the customer as scrap for Brother.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
The solution is scalable in some products. For example, we can add scanners. We can add the capacity of the paper. We can add a dispenser. We can add the finishers.
How are customer service and support?
Brother's technical support is very good. They reply to us maybe within a couple of hours via email. They are available in the UAE, so we can call them anytime. They are helpful.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
We also work with Ricoh and have knowledge of HP.
HP is doing chip kind of stuff, which is why you have to buy original genuine HP products. You can't use other options in the printer. It is very easy to use, however.
Ricoh is pretty scalable. We can add so many things to it. I personally really like working with Ricoh.
So as far as products are concerned, Brother is okay and very good as compared to HP, however, my personal preference is Ricoh. Ricoh is pretty expensive. Nobody wants to buy Ricoh now, however. The price and the availability are not ideal.
How was the initial setup?
It is very straightforward to set up and configure. You only need five minutes to handle the process. No more than that. Of course, it depends on the computer's speed.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The solution is not expensive at all. It's very affordable for users.
What other advice do I have?
We are partners.
I'd recommend the solution, not just due to the fact that we sell the solution. I'd recommend it anyway. It's a good product.
I would rate the product eight out of ten.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
On-premises
