Everpure FlashBlade Reviews

Currently, we are mostly using Pure Storage FlashBlade E, as it's the latest product that we bought, while we had a FlashArray X70 for primary usage and a FlashArray E for long-time storage.

We don't use Pure Storage FlashBlade for real-time data processing tasks, as we only use it for storage of backups, but we are going to move in a lot of X-ray images within a month.

Pure Storage FlashBlade's scalability is one of the most valuable features, and importantly, it always works, allowing for seamless upgrades.

We use Pure Storage FlashBlade's inline deduplication feature. It has helped optimize storage efficiency; however, we use mostly compressed data already, resulting in only 1.1 to one in data reduction, which is not that much, but we anticipated this before we bought it, so it's perfect for us as we moved from PowerScale where we had one-to-one.

In my opinion, one way Pure Storage FlashBlade can be improved is by having more compatibility between the FlashArray and FlashBlade, allowing for synchronized data between both platforms.

I have been working with this tool for around half a year.

There are between 5 and 10,000 people using it in our organization.

We are going to increase usage in the future, as I mentioned, this is just a startup, and we are going to buy another one in 2027.

We need two administrators to maintain it.

Their technical support has been perfect lately, so I would give it a 10.

Regarding pricing, it is okay; we needed exactly this in size, and the price was a lot lower than competitors, making it good for us.

In environments requiring high throughput and low latency, Pure Storage FlashBlade provides high throughput and normal latency, but we do not have any application that requires low latency right now, so the latency of three to five milliseconds is considered kind of high.

Pure Storage FlashBlade's ability to integrate with enterprise applications is not important for us, as we only want to present an S3 bucket for our backup, which we have done, and it works very fast.

We use the Purity software's data reduction techniques; we have a backup software that compresses everything before sending it to the S3 bucket, achieving a data reduction of 1.1 to one.

I would recommend Pure Storage FlashBlade to other companies because it's a very fast and scalable solution for anyone who needs it. On a scale of 1-10, I rate this solution an 8.

Our use case for Pure Storage FlashBlade is strictly for our backup and our PACS archiving. We are not doing file object storage, and we also use it for SMB for our PACS system for radiology PACS images for archiving PACS images for a radiology department.

The best features of Pure Storage FlashBlade include better throughput and better performance. It is more of a storage-based solution.

Since implementing Pure Storage FlashBlade four years ago, we see better performance. One significant advantage is that we can do NFS and SMB both in the same system.

I believe there is not much improvement needed because they have everything we need, but the interface is a little bit complex to understand. You have to understand it more deeply because it's hard to comprehend some of the interfaces and how the setup is done for NFS storage.

Aside from the UI, I don't see areas for improvement.

Technical support definitely needs significant improvement.

I have been using Pure Storage FlashBlade for approximately four years.

The deployment of Pure Storage FlashBlade can be challenging if you have multiple SAN and try to integrate with other technologies; otherwise, integration within the same store is very easy.

The deployment of Pure Storage FlashBlade takes just a couple of days if you have the right person for the networking setup.

I would rate the stability of Pure Storage FlashBlade as a nine out of ten.

Regarding scalability, Pure Storage FlashBlade is scalable. I would rate it an eight out of ten since we just keep adding the blades without any problems.

In terms of technical support, the experience has been mixed. The support is done through email and is not that great, making it a very problematic area I've been dealing with for over four years.

Since I never used Pure Storage FlashBlade before, this is my first time using it at this institute. When I got hired four years ago, they were moving away from EMC to FlashBlade for Pure Storage, and it was a decision already made, installed, and ready to go for me.

I have seen return on investment with Pure Storage FlashBlade, as it can save resources and requires less management than other solutions. It does not require much management once you set up correctly, so it saves time, allowing an admin to focus on other work.

The pricing of Pure Storage FlashBlade is expensive compared to other products I used from other companies in the past, but one benefit is that they have built-in ransomware protection.

Approximately 40% to 50% of my time is saved using Pure Storage FlashBlade compared to different products.

To run Pure Storage FlashBlade smoothly, you might have to spend about 8 to 9 hours a week on maintenance if you set it up correctly.

Comparing Pure Storage FlashBlade with other products or vendors on the market, it's about 15% to 20% better than what I used before. When I started, other vendors were coming out with similar features, but I did not use them.

The multi-dimensional scale-out design feature of Pure Storage FlashBlade is not in use in our environment.

Regarding data reduction technologies, we don't get much deduplication because the data is already deduplicated from our FlashArray before we get to backup, so there is no benefit of deduplication.

Regarding the integration with cloud-native ecosystem tools, we are not on cloud; we are strictly an on-premises solution.

Pure Storage FlashBlade is not used by any end-user; it's used only for IT backup, with only about four people in our group managing it.

I cannot recommend Pure Storage FlashBlade to other users depending upon their financial situation because it's an expensive solution, and the cost is very high, including licensing and renewal every year.

I rate Pure Storage FlashBlade an eight out of ten.

Our main use case for Everpure FlashBlade is that we haven't closed a deal in Brazil yet. However, we are working on several opportunities and promoting the solution with our partners and customers. We see strong potential for Everpure FlashBlade, especially in AI and analytics, and we are focused on building the pipeline to secure our first deployment.

As our customers are planning to use Everpure FlashBlade, especially for AI, we have a solid pipeline. We believe Everpure FlashBlade is well-positioned to support these high-performance and data-intensive environments. We are working with partners and customers to develop opportunities in these areas. The verticals with Everpure include finance, telecom, and energy.

At this stage, our discussions with customers about Everpure FlashBlade are primarily centered around AI initiatives, cyber resiliency, and large-scale data management. Although we have not yet deployed Everpure FlashBlade in Brazil, customers are showing interest in leveraging the platform for AI, high-performance backup repositories, and rapid recovery scenarios. We also see potential opportunities with organizations looking to modernize their data infrastructure and consolidate file and object storage on a single platform. As AI adoption continues to grow in Brazil, we expect Everpure FlashBlade to become an increasingly relevant solution for data-intensive workloads.

The best features Everpure FlashBlade offers, which stand out to both me and our customers, are its exceptional performance for AI and analytics workloads, its ability to scale seamlessly, its unified file and object storage architecture, and simplicity of management. Customers also value the fast backup and recovery capabilities, which are critical for cyber resiliency strategies. One of the challenges we face in Brazil is the price point. Everpure FlashBlade is a premium solution, and for many customers, the initial investment can be difficult to justify unless they have very demanding workloads such as AI, large-scale analytics, high performance, or cyber recovery. Because of this, our focus is on identifying customers where the business value and performance benefits clearly outweigh the cost.

Since we have not yet deployed Everpure FlashBlade in production with a customer in Brazil with TDCX, I cannot speak from direct operational experience regarding its positive impact. However, Everpure FlashBlade has helped us engage in strategic conversations around AI, cyber resiliency, and modern data architectures. We have Everpure FlashBlade available in Brazil with TDCX for proof of concept activities, which allows customers to validate performance, scalability, and their real-world use cases before making an investment decision. This has been a significant asset in the presales and technology evangelization process and has helped customers understand the business value of Everpure FlashBlade. We have a proof of concept with a customer called M. Dias Branco in Lardas in Brazil. The project is in progress and we hope to close this sale this year.

I would not rate Everpure FlashBlade as a perfect score primarily due to the price point in the Brazilian market. Everpure FlashBlade is a premium solution and the investment can be a challenge for many customers, especially when competing against alternative vendors such as HPE. For organizations with demanding data-intensive workloads, however, the value proposition is very compelling.

My advice for others looking into using Everpure FlashBlade is to clearly identify the business challenges you are trying to solve and evaluate whether Everpure FlashBlade is particularly well-suited for AI and analytics workloads, cyber resilience, and high performance. I rate Everpure FlashBlade an 8 out of 10.

My main use case for Everpure FlashBlade is backup storage as well as IRE type of storage.

Most of the customers that I sell Everpure FlashBlade to use a data protection solution or software such as Commvault, Veeam, Rubrik, and NetBackup. When they need faster performance backup ingestion or for egress, meaning recovery, at scale or at higher speeds for lower RPO and RTO, they leverage Everpure FlashBlade as the backup storage for that software.

Currently, the best features Everpure FlashBlade offers include reference architecture with a couple of the backup vendors that I support, and this reference architecture allows their file systems or appliances to sit on top as the compute units, while Everpure FlashBlade sits underneath as the storage part of the ecosystem that provides very high-performance storage for backup ingestion as well as for very high-performance recoveries. The cyber resiliency features of immutability and indelibility resonate with my customers as well.

Given today's cyber threat landscape, the immutability and indelibility features of Everpure FlashBlade are no longer a nice-to-have; they are hard requirements coming from the top leadership, C-suite, down to a lot of the customers that I talk to. So this being a hard requirement, it needs to be tightly integrated with a lot of these backup vendors so that there is no conflict between backup software and Everpure FlashBlade when it comes to retention policies and who has access to what, how long they can recover the data for, whether it is safe to recover this data, and whether this data is compromised or not. This overall helps in the cyber resiliency conversation.

Everpure FlashBlade has positively impacted my organization through the partnership between our companies, as I am a reseller. It gives us an overall better story when it comes to our capabilities around high-performance storage in general.

Everpure FlashBlade can be improved with better integration with backup vendors for retention.

I would like to see tighter integration with backup vendor software, specifically around the retention lock, compliance lock, compliance mode, safe mode for immutability and indelibility, as well as how it handles the tiering. I would also like to see some tighter integration with appliance form factors from these backup vendors.

I have been indirectly working with Everpure FlashBlade for the past seven years.

Everpure FlashBlade's scalability is good.

I have seen a return on investment for my customers through money saved on electrical and heating, as well as lower footprint in the data center.

I am a reseller, so I do not use Everpure FlashBlade personally, which means I do not have direct experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing.

As a reseller, we provide what is best for the customer, and many times that means it is Everpure storage; I am not evaluating other options personally.

We have had some customers that have had other flash arrays from other vendors, where the density and the form factor of Everpure FlashBlade actually reduce the real estate consumption of rack units as well as power consumption and heat production. Some of the customers that we sell this into may not see increased performance, but they see improved soft costs on the back end. With other customers that have spinning disks, we see huge improvements in performance regardless of the workload and use case.

My advice to others looking into using Everpure FlashBlade is to figure out what workload you are trying to solve for so you can pick the right platform for your workload. I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.

We use FlashBlade for a lot of cloud storage backup, specifically Veeam. We use the object lock and versioning functions a lot to secure the data and make it immutable. We sell quite a bit of our shared space out to the customer base as repositories.

FlashBlade has reduced our reliance on single-purpose traditional storage. In our scenario where we have a DR environment and where we provide disaster recovery services, being able to leverage multi-tenancy along with immutability is a huge benefit to us. With a lot of the immutable functionality that we had previously, we had to set up Linux servers backed by SAN. The process was huge, whereas now, we can easily spin out a tenant account and get a customer set up. It has reduced the time significantly in that aspect. Bucket creation is not that big of a deal. We can set up quotas and other good things. It is pretty easy compared to the previous immutable arrangement. It is working out pretty well, especially in time savings.

Its benefits were visible immediately because we had a comparison on-site. Everything was on Dell ECS or Elastic Storage prior to that. Once we started migrating customers over to Pure Storage FlashBlade, the results were immediate. Earlier, some of the customers would purge something, and that garbage collection would run for days on end on some of the other devices, whereas with Pure Storage FlashBlade, that was significantly faster. It handles metadata very well.

It has certainly made our environment more resilient than some of the other deployments we had. Other immutable devices were singular in nature. If the device went down, that whole infrastructure went down with it, whereas, with FlashBlade, we can mitigate that risk by adding additional blades and things like that. It is more redundant and resilient compared to previous implementations.

We do object locking and versioning, and then the Veeam backups have encryption built into it for inline and at rest. All that plays very well together. The fact that it keeps our data encrypted and secured is extremely important in this day and age. In the industry itself, there has been a shift away from the idea of everybody wanting a bleeding-edge performance. More people are concerned about securing their data and ransomware. A lot of what we do is help with ransomware prevention and recovery. It is like our bread and butter, so when it comes to that piece, in a lot of the sales training data and things that we have seen, there has been a much higher focus on the security of data versus bleeding-edge speed. In a storage environment, everybody usually wants to get the fastest of whatever it is that they can afford, but there is more focus on securing that data this year.

FlashBlade has definitely reduced our organization’s environmental footprint. Previously, we would end up deploying a repository that would be Linux or something like that. A lot of the time, that would be dedicated to a client, whereas now, FlashBlade backends a lot of our multi-tenant environment, so we are able to leverage FlashBlade for multiple tenants. Instead of having a repository dedicated to each client, we consolidated into FlashBlade where we are serving multiple tenants out of those blades. I have been able to decommission 20 to 25 repositories this year.

The performance of FlashBlade is excellent. It does not necessarily leverage the SOS API that some of the newer products leverage, but I found its speed pretty much on par and comparable. It is fast, and it does what it is supposed to do. With some of the S3s we had, there were issues with garbage collection routines or the algorithms that ran the garbage collection. If a customer's immutability period is 14 days, a block generation time frame is assigned to that, which adds another 28 days to it, so it cannot over-allocate the API calls to it and crush the box. They have that kind of period in there. What I found with FlashBlade compared to our ECS system or some of the other S3s that we have run is that it is significantly faster in the purging process and garbage collection process, which is a big deal to us. We have so many customers in there, and they are constantly removing backup chains and things like that, so there is a lot of churn that happens. FlashBlade is probably one of the best ones that we have had that manages that churn appropriately.

The only thing I feel FlashBlade is missing is the SOS API. If it had SOS API, that would put it well over the top.

Veeam Backup specifically has started to streamline their API, and they are doing that with SOS API. They have optimized it. Any of the S3 devices out there that support this SOS API can have far more API calls at once. On our side, that translates to better restoration. With SOS API, it can leverage far more restorations at a single given time or read from the device in simple terms. That results in maximizing the output and throughput from the device itself.

We have had FlashBlade in play for maybe 18 months.

FlashBlade has been 99.999% in terms of stability. We have had zero outages with it.

FlashBlade scales easily. Anytime we need to expand, we simply order another blade and integrate it.

Pure Storage is on the better side of technical support these days. I interface with Cisco, VMware, Veeam, Zerto, and other different companies. Out of all of them, Pure Storage support has been pretty good. They are responsive. They usually provide an educated response or answer back in a reasonable amount of time. They are always within the SLA. I do not have any complaints about support.

We used various S3 solutions. I am an ObjectFirst Ace. ObjectFirst is another company that came out in the last year or so, and they provide us with secure devices. We do have some of that. We have some Dell Elastic Storage. We have tested out various other software-defined ones, like MinIO. We had a good bit of experience in playing and testing with S3 before we went to FlashBlade, and I did a full PoC with FlashBlade before we decided to buy it.

We have it on-prem. We provide external access to our clients for S3 buckets, but it is all on-prem. We do that specifically because of the type of company we are. When it comes to disaster recovery, we need to do a restoration when a customer has a declaration or something like that. It is far easier on our side for that data to be local than it being out in the cloud. The restoration is far faster being on-site, so we have all that stuff in-house.

We deployed FlashBlade in a matter of days to a week, and it was serving data soon afterward. It took about 72 hours, and then we were tweaking after that just to figure out exactly how we wanted it. It was not a very difficult setup. It did not require extensive resources.

In terms of maintenance, we had to do normal updates when something new came out. That ended up being a fairly simple, straightforward process. The updates were done in less than an hour.

We schedule upgrades and our own downtime because they are customer-facing. We have not had any outages. Everything was completed in the time frame that we assumed it would complete. Everything was back up and functional after the update. We had no real issues with it.

These non-disruptive upgrades are extremely important because we are a service provider by nature. The service that we provide is disaster recovery, so most of our customers are seeding data into us 24/7, and any degradation in that results in them missing their RTO and RPOs, which is not great for us. We miss our SLA if that happens.

We managed the setup with a team of three individuals from storage capacity, cloud, and network teams. We need the network setup. The capacity person takes a look at all the backend to figure out what goes where. I do most of the other implementation pieces via the cloud team. The process did not require third-party involvement.

It is within reason for what you get. From what we have found comparing it to other vendors, it is in the same range as others. Given the choice, we would definitely redeploy it based on the cost.

In my opinion, it is worthwhile. I am very much a buy once, cry once kind of guy. I want to buy it and do it right the first time. What we have learned through experience is that Pure Storage FlashBlade sometimes can cost a little bit more, but the admin overhead related to storage goes down once we end up having these devices. We are less involved. There is less maintenance. There are fewer instances where a project is spaced and put into play, and then six or eight months later, we have to go back and upgrade heads or whatever needs to be done with that. Overall, the total cost of ownership is not necessarily the upfront price tag. You also have the cost of administration and doing business. There are all those things that lead to upgrades or bad decisions in project making where you have to go back and respec later. FlashBlade has alleviated a lot of that for us. When we need to expand FlashBlade, we just add another blade to it, and we are good to go.

Understanding how S3 operates and how object locks and versioning work is important. Knowing these concepts will ease the transition from traditional storage to S3 storage.

I would rate FlashBlade an eight out of ten. If it had SOS API, it would be near perfect.

We use Pure Storage FlashBlade as a unified storage solution for both file and object data. Our organization currently uses it for NAS and file storage, with plans to incorporate object storage in the near future.

We chose Pure Storage FlashBlade for our data centers because it effectively handles the storage of our large datasets, including images and metadata. While other vendors offer similar capabilities, FlashBlade's features and specifications provide superior cost-effectiveness, performance, and storage capacity, ultimately meeting our specific needs.

FlashBlade helps reduce reliance on traditional, single-purpose storage solutions. Its versatility makes it a powerful storage solution for a wide range of data-intensive uses, including modern application development and AI/ML. FlashBlade provides the speed and scale necessary to handle massive databases and the complex computations involved in AI/ML, resulting in faster processing, increased accuracy, and quicker time to insights. Additionally, Pure Storage offers its cloud solution called Pure One, which provides real-time analytics for that device.

The 75 TB DirectFlash modules deliver a 25 percent cost reduction compared to alternatives. These savings are achieved in administration, operations, and computing. The scalable design allows for future expansion based on project requirements.

In terms of power consumption, Pure Storage FlashBlade uses 60 to 75 percent less power consumption.

We have received good feedback from clients and users, noting that applications are running much faster than before. Daily reporting or data retrieval and storage have been significantly simplified.

Prior to deploying Pure Storage FlashBlade in our production environment, we conducted thorough testing. Due to the inability to directly migrate data from our legacy system, we implemented a phased approach. This involved testing non-production data, followed by standard applications, and finally, critical applications. Each phase yielded optimal results, giving us the confidence to proceed with the production update and data migration.

FlashBlade effectively mitigates legacy system issues such as outages and complex infrastructure management due to its dedicated support team that provides rapid response and resolution.

It safeguards data with AES 256 data-at-rest encryption and simplified key management, including automatic key rotation. This ensures data and device security, meeting various compliance standards such as FIPS 142 from the US government, PCI, and GDPR, helping organizations achieve robust cybersecurity.

Pure Storage FlashBlade enhances efficiency and sustainability, positively impacting our environmental footprint and transforming our approach to storage.

It can be upgraded with no downtime.

FlashBlade offers low latency, high throughput, and seamless scalability. Its design allows scaling out by simply adding capacity or compute units via a single plate. The solution also features excellent data reduction capabilities, powerful security measures to protect against cyberattacks, and the ability to render entire storage into another site.

To improve FlashBlade, some analysts suggest enhancing its handling of relational database management systems and SQL queries. Additionally, strengthening hybrid cloud integration, expanding protocol support like NVMe over Fabrics, and broadening database compatibility would be beneficial. Finally, improvements in predictive analytics and AI development capabilities are desirable.

I have been using Pure Storage FlashBlade in our environment for two years.

I rate the stability of FlashBlade ten out of ten. We have not had any performance issues.

FlashBlade's scalability is excellent, allowing for seamless expansion without downtime. The solution's PowerScale architecture is commendable.

I would rate the scalability nine out of ten.

Pure Storage support is exceptional. They provide quick responses and are very helpful, regardless of the severity of the issue.

We switched to Pure Storage FlashBlade from a previous vendor with comparable features because FlashBlade offered superior object storage, performance, and scalability without downtime.

The initial deployment with our previous storage system was complex, requiring extensive inspection and high power availability. However, Pure Storage FlashBlade's efficient architecture minimized these concerns. Its design requires less power due to its focus on green energy, and the pre-deployment inspection process was streamlined. With comprehensive support from Pure Storage throughout the process, the deployment was completed in approximately three weeks.

We had the support of Pure Storage's implementation engineers during the setup, ensuring a seamless process.

We have seen a return on investment with FlashBlade, realizing savings of 20 to 25 percent so far. This is due to reduced operational costs and the ability to consolidate storage devices.

While Pure Storage FlashBlade comes at a premium price, its exceptional performance, simplified management, and enhanced reliability ultimately justify the investment for those prioritizing a seamless and high-performing storage solution.

I would rate Pure Storage FlashBlade nine out of ten.

We have deployed FlashBlade on-premises but are looking to move to the cloud. However, Pure Storage's API presents challenges for cloud migration. We need an API that enables a hybrid platform approach through Purity OS.

Our data center hosts a diverse range of clients, from small-cap to large-cap companies. We have four people who work directly with the FlashBlade storage.

Pure Storage FlashBlade requires no maintenance other than updates, and in our two years of use, we have experienced no hardware failures. 

I recommend Pure Storage FlashBlade for its performance, maintenance-free operation, scalability, automation, and strong security features. It suits organizations that can manage data migration from cloud to physical storage, but its hybrid cloud integration could be improved.

I recommend Pure Storage products for all levels due to their high performance, scalability, automation features, and robust security with data encryption and compliance standards. However, while Pure Storage offers excellent systems at a low cost, I would not recommend FlashBlade for hybrid environments. Currently, FlashBlade lacks the necessary hybrid cloud integration APIs, making data migration between the cloud and physical FlashBlade difficult. If a client has data on the cloud, managing and migrating it to FlashBlade would be challenging due to this API limitation.

In my current organization, we utilize FlashArray and FlashBlade primarily for critical data management. Our company deals with significant amounts of important data that require fast access, which is why we decided to purchase Pure FlashArray and FlashBlade. It is essential for data accessibility and ease of data access.

It is a path-breaking storage. I have previously worked with Dell EMC and HPE storage. Pure Storage FlashBlade is path-breaking and necessary to meet the current needs. It makes data access more flexible than before.

It has significantly saved time for our organization, particularly regarding latency in data retrieval and storage capacity. Previously, we faced limitations with other solutions like Dell EMC and HPE, but FlashBlade allowed us to allocate larger TB amounts, which has been a big benefit. The time-saving aspect and reduced latency are the main benefits we have experienced.

We were able to realize its benefits within a week. We found its speed, flexibility, and load balancing very impressive. We realized very early on that it is the best product in the market.

Being an all-flash storage, there is no noise like hard drives. There is also a dedicated cache. It is very impressive. As compared to our previous storage, it is very easy to access. The GUI is also very good.

Pure Storage FlashBlade helped in keeping our data encrypted and secured.

The most valuable features of FlashBlade include its replication capabilities, reports, and easy allocation. Everything is user-friendly. There is no complexity. Unlike previous experiences with Dell EMC, which required lengthy processes for configuring LAN masking and mapping, FlashBlade is user-friendly. Anyone with a basic knowledge of storage can easily work with it. This flexibility is very important for building new storage. Also, there is no hard drive, so there is not much noise.

Recently, while upgrading the version code, one of the controllers failed. Replacing the controller took between 14 to 20 days. We cannot accept that delay. They need to focus on that. Additionally, during disaster recovery exercises, we experienced issues with SRM volumes from VMware, highlighting areas needing improvement. They should test their upgrades for any issues, and there should also be more reliability when it comes to DRE practices. Apart from that, everything is good.

They should provide more training videos and benefit programs for Gold partners like us. Pure Storage could offer training without any fees to enhance understanding of the latest features and technologies. That would be beneficial. They provide training for big organizations, but they do not do the same for small organizations.

I have been using FlashBlade for three years.

We have not experienced any glitches or downtime, and everything has been stable.

Generally, the upgrades do not lead to any downtime. Two processors are there. In a single case, we faced an issue where one storage processor went down, and it took them a couple of days to replace that one. In my overall experience with Pure Storage, this is the longest they have taken.

There are no issues with scalability. I would rate it a nine out of ten for scalability.

We are using it at two different locations. We have a team of ten members off-site. On-site, three members are there.

Customer service and support are excellent. I would rate them a nine out of ten.

Previously, I worked with Dell and HPE solutions. However, Pure Storage FlashBlade has surpassed them with better speed, connectivity, and ease of use compared to Dell and HPE.

We use FlashBlade, especially for file NAS systems, and it integrates with S3 Cloud. We use it for file and object storage. Additionally, e-series 200, 400, and s-series models are available, which have a good impact on storage.

The 75-terabyte DirectFlash modules use a moderate amount of power.

FlashBlade helps reduce costs.

FlashBlade has provided a significant impact by offering more storage with e-series and s-series models. It has also helped with storage management by allowing alternate IPs for seamless access in case of issues. Furthermore, the solution includes features like Safe Mode and data snapshots to enhance data integrity and security.

It quickly mitigates legacy system issues with its multiple IP addresses, ensuring that another is available to maintain connectivity if one fails.

FlashBlade ensures data security with encryption and multiple backup mechanisms. In addition to primary storage, backups are maintained on separate NAS volumes and managed by a dedicated backup team. A remote disaster recovery system guarantees data accessibility and integrity, allowing for data restoration regardless of local issues. It has saved between 20 to 30 percent of our time.

The most valuable feature is Safe Mode. Even when using two data snapshots, there are restrictions to ensure data safety based on business requirements. The SSDs and SaaS connectivity are also valuable, ensuring a high level of safety. Furthermore, DirectFlash modules and moderate power consumption contribute to cost efficiency and operational improvements.

The documentational aspect of FlashBlade needs improvement. It’s important for documentation to be comprehensive for all users working on FlashBlade. Additionally, more attention to documentation and large data processing is recommended to enhance user experience.

We have been using FlashBlade for roughly around one and a half years.

FlashBlade has proven to be a stable solution. I rate the stability eight out of ten.

FlashBlade is highly scalable. I rate the scalability a nine out of ten.

Among its most appealing features are its ease of handling and minimal maintenance requirements. Storage expansion is straightforward, and hardware replacement is simple due to the ready availability of parts from the distributor.

We initially encountered challenges with the assembly process due to issues with the documentation required during setup, an area where Pure Storage needs improvement.

I have been using Pure Storage FlashBlade for two years.

I would give Pure Storage FlashBlade ten out of ten for stability. We've experienced minimal downtime, only one or two hours.

I would rate the scalability of Pure Storage FlashBlade ten out of ten. It can be useful for both large data centers and medium-sized businesses.

Customer service and support are highly responsive and available 24/7. However, response times could be improved for optimal efficiency, as they currently average 15 to 20 minutes.

Our previous storage solution, Dell Storage, proved to be overly complex and increasingly prone to errors, ultimately prompting our transition to Pure Storage.

Due to the machine's large size, necessitating lifting and placement into a rack, three to four people are typically required for deployment.

The stability is good with only 30 minutes of downtime during upgrades. We do have a backup of the blade. In case there is any issue with any blade, the data is moved to another.

It is scalable.

The technical support or customer support is satisfactory. They are good, but I do have some language challenges. They are a bit fast for me. I would rate them an eight out of ten.
