|---|---|---|
| Product Management and Development Manager at a comms service provider with 1,001-5,000 employees | 4.0 | I found features like MDM and content mobilization excellent, improving flexibility. We had no deployment or stability issues. Better SharePoint integration is needed, and I advise thorough initial planning for configurations. |
| Mobility Engineer at a financial services firm with 51-200 employees | 2.0 | I value High Availability, Apple DEP, MAM, and BYOD, which streamlined device management. However, I faced deployment and stability issues, and I believe reporting, documentation, and technical support require significant improvement. |
| Director of Product Development with 51-200 employees | 5.0 | I've used MobileIron for two years, finding AppConnect valuable for secure internal resource access without VPN. Setup was straightforward, and I encountered no issues. I'd appreciate screen share support for all platforms. |
Better connection to document servers e.g Sharepoint etc. is needed.
We've had no issues with deployment.
We've had no issues with stability.
We've had no issues with scalability.
Perform an initial analysis before deployment, define your targets, and then manage the design and deployment according your targets (especially configurations and policies). To perform this later is difficult to change some initial configurations.
High Availability on Core and Sentry, Apple DEP support, MAM, and the BYOD Portal are valuable.
Corporate-owned and employee-owned devices can be enrolled from the same BYOD Portal. In-house app distribution allows retail apps to be deployed to store devices with more ease.
Reporting and custom reporting, containerization, more readable and assessable documentation, better technical support and better trained staff.

Yes. Agreement issue with preferred product was the reason for change.
Not quite. Technical questionnaire/reference can be done better so firewall rules can be implemented more smoothly. The server setup that BYOD Portal resides on is not supported by MobileIron and caused support issues such as vulnerability patches, configuration, etc.
Both via Webex sessions. The level of expertise from the vendor team is 8 out of 10.
I don't know what the ROI is.
AirWatch, Absolute, and McAfee MDM were also evaluated.
Clearly list goals or objectives, compare products, interview vendors and ask intelligent questions that may be related to problems or challenges
MobileIron AppConnect (geting access to internal resources Exchange, File Server, etc.) thru Sentry without VPN.
Accessing documents on your mobile while traveling is essential.
Screen share suppport for all platforms could be helpful for helpdesk.

No, I did not.
It was straightforward. The infrastructure consists of virtual appliances which are very easy to deploy and setup.
An in-house team.
Symantec, Zenprise (now Citrix).
Focus onto the planning phase of the implementation. Prepare a list of your requirements regarding the restrictions (passcode, secure data access), use cases, what type of resources would your users like to acces from their mobile device. Per device and per user licensing are available, so you can decide which is the best for you.
There are two type of implementation available: Connected Cloud and On-premise. In the first scenario MobileIron is responsible for the availability, the backup and the version upgrades of the Core. Make groups by the type of users and use active directory groups for assigning configs and policies. Prepare a list of the platforms you would like to support. Ask for a 30-day evaluation from MobileIron and check that it meets with your expectation and requirements. Mobileiron provide 0 day support for new versions of IOS, Android and Windows Phone. It is possible to create dynamic groups of configs and policies as per the user AD group membership and by device properties (platform, OS version, screen size,… more than 240 filter properties can be used)
