I have been using the SonicWall Global VPN Client for thirty years. We have a company here in Brazil that has extensive access to our customers' networks, all through site-to-site VPNs for managing. All of these companies use VPN client connections for remote access. I'm a VPN connection from my own site. When I'm traveling, I use SonicWall Global VPN Client to access my servers and my entire network, as do our customers.

The SonicWall Global VPN Client is a very good product. Once I was connected for four days in a row with no faults or interruptions. It's fast, stable, and works. It's simple and effective.

We use robust encryption protocols with the SonicWall Global VPN Client. These protocols help with maintaining confidentiality and security of the network data across our organization. Today it's a fact that you have to cryptograph your servers, hard disks, desktops, everything. The VPN is just part of that.

The experience with the setup process and user interface of the SonicWall Global VPN Client is very easy. With the SonicWall Global VPN Client, you create a connection to the firewall, set up the cryptographic settings, keys, and passwords. Then download, create a download file, import in the client, enter username and password, and it's done. It is absolutely very simple.

The only thing that we don't really appreciate about SonicWall, not specifically SonicWall but in general, is the SSL VPNs. We're still using GVC, the SonicWall Global VPN Client.

The SonicWall Global VPN Client doesn't have automatic updates features. You have to update manually every time. If you're in version 4.10, you have to reinstall or upgrade it manually. It's simple, requiring only basic steps, but you have to do it manually. There's no option to do this automatically.

The SonicWall Global VPN Client does not integrate well with many other solutions in the security field within our organizations.

When it comes to the Windows VPN client, I find security to be a significant concern. It's not secure and it's very unstable.

Every time I have used the SonicWall support, the staff has good experience and understands the problem while trying to solve it. In 30 years, I experienced only one problem that lasted three to four days, which took longer than usual to resolve.

We have our staff that applies these updates to the companies. In a Windows environment where we use tools from Microsoft or any other clients' updates application, we can deploy products by scripts or other methods. SonicWall has no way to update the client automatically. There's no SonicWall Windows updates feature.

In terms of pricing, normally a firewall box or appliance comes with some licenses. When we develop a solution for a company with a hundred users, normally 10% of that has remote access. So 10 VPN licenses are enough for a whole company. If we move to 20 users, we double the number. It's not expensive. It's a good price, neither cheap nor expensive. I'd rate it a five.

Regarding the comparison of the SonicWall Global VPN Client to Cisco or Fortinet for VPN services, I have experience with Fortinet VPN Client through my wife's company. It's terrible and not easy to use. It's unstable, fails frequently, has bad support, and no logs. It's a worse product from a technical perspective. Cisco in the past was worse because you had to do extensive setup in the VPN client. Trying to make a VPN with the Windows client required many manual steps. SonicWall Global VPN Client requires only two or three steps to complete.

We only serve local clients.

The flexibility and deployment options with the SonicWall Global VPN Client are very flexible. It's a simple product that works. The SonicWall Global VPN Client is something that someone created and it's very good.

On a scale of 1-10, I rate this solution a 10.

I am still working with Sunny Core and using several solutions like SonicWall Firewall with NSM and Net Extender. 

I am utilizing the Global VPN, which is part of SonicWall, primarily to connect to the application server. The advantage is that I can work securely on a specific application server using the VPN. That’s the main reason I am using it for now. 

I must ensure I connect to the application server as a local user. Any organization will consider this a valuable feature if it includes the encryption option with the VPN.

This VPN has a secure tunnel created between the end user and the standard machine. This secure connection facilitates the transfer of data without compromising on security or speed.

I have not evaluated the product yet, so I do not have specific feedback. Currently, it is not a perfect product for me. It depends on the requirements of the architecture.

I have been using the solution for around five to six years as an end user.

There is always a delay in response when I try to work on the VPN. This might not be a problem with the VPN product itself, however, I must consider the speed of both the end user machine and the host machine.

Scalability depends on the licenses procured. If enough licenses are available, then it is adequate, however, it is very restricted due to the licenses. It is not scalable. Everything hinges on the VPN licenses procured for concurrent sessions.

Discussing my experience with customer communication, I can say I received good responses from them. They understood my requirements and provided the solution I was looking for in the least amount of time.

I have not used other solutions. I stopped the services with Secure about one and a half years ago.

If I am just focusing on the security and network security with basic installation configuration, it is very simple and easy for a technical engineer to configure.

I have not compared any other products with SonicWall. I have very limited knowledge about the pricing aspect.

I am curious to explore how AI, when integrated with Global VPN, works in detail. I have not faced any issues related to the Global VPN, so I am satisfied. I am not using any services from Google, Oracle, or IBM. 

Most of the end users are using MS Teams for communication. This is unrelated to the consultation requirements. 

The overall rating is ten out of ten.

The primary use case for the SonicWall Global VPN is to provide secure remote access to various client networks. We utilize it in different scenarios, depending on customer requirements. It is deployed on multiple devices, from personal computers to corporate networks, to facilitate secure and reliable connections.

The platform's most valuable features include its ease of setup and user-friendly interface. It simplifies connecting remote clients to secure networks without extensive configuration. 

The product's integration process need improvement with certain regional network configurations, especially in locations where ISP practices can affect performance. 

Enhancements in support for various IP protocols and more robust local support could help address these issues.

I have been using the SonicWall Global VPN solution for several years.

The product is stable. 

The platform has good scalability. It handles increased user loads and expanded network configurations effectively, maintaining performance standards.

The technical support services are satisfactory. 

I have used different VPN solutions. The switch to SonicWall Global VPN was driven by its superior ease of use and more straightforward setup than previous solutions.

The initial setup is relatively straightforward. It requires fewer steps than other VPN solutions, making it accessible to users with varying technical expertise.

The solution was implemented with the help of the vendor and our in-house teams. 

It is a cost-effective product. 

I evaluated several other VPN solutions, including various competitors' offerings.

I rate SonicWall Global VPN Client a nine out of ten.
