Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Enables efficient information extraction with strong OCR capabilities
The solution itself is valuable due to its ability to classify and extract information with embedded OCR, which is good. ABBYY has a very good OCR in both Arabic and English. Additionally, they have a new version called Vantage, which is cloud-based. However, we still work with the old version because most of our clients are government entities.

With an easy initial setup phase in place, the tool needs to provide functionalities like web scraping to users
It is a very scalable solution. In ElectroNeek, you can build your project in modular programming or with the use of sub-programs. You can have a lot of sub-programs that make up a whole project. If you don't wanna use the drag-and-drop activities, you can use JavaScript or Python instead. So it's very useful when you are working with things such as SPS. Actually, you can write scripts to support all the product functionalities with Python and manage the product's functions. You will find a company named Apollo Studios on the website of ElectroNeek. I think they are one of the best companies in South Africa that entered into a partnership with ElectroNeek.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The Control Room is the most valuable feature. This is where I can schedule a task. It runs 24/7, so it's a great feature that I love. If we are not in office, we can schedule something and leave, then the bot will run at the scheduled time."
"The vision and the journey Automation Anywhere is on is phenomenal."
"This solution has decreased the time that our employees spend on manual processes."
"Automation Anywhere's document automation, powered by IQ Bots and now enhanced with AI, stands out as a particularly valuable feature."
"Automation Anywhere has helped in automating business processes for simple to complex business cases and also helped in understanding, learning, and discovering new automation ideas."
"In the age of agentic AI, it's allowing us to imagine what comes next."
"A project that we automated: A person used to spend about eight to twelve hours every week to finish the process. The bot finishes it in half an hour. Now, the person just reviews it, then passes along the information. This has helped our organization because originally EMEA and APAC would not receive the files the same day that they were processed. But because the bot only takes a half an hour, everyone can now receive the files on the same day."
"It can be easily learned by anyone who spends a bit of time with it."
"ABBYY stands out for its collaborative approach."
"The ability to extract and insert data, then structuralize it into the actionable format, would be the most valuable."
"It costs 5,000 Euro per year for one license, there are almost 500,000 pages available, so I think the price is good for what we have, it's worth the money."
"The form extractions engine and the FlexiCapture designer are really useful."
"Its ease of use is valuable. It is easy to use and configure."
"The initial setup is not difficult. The vendor provides technical documents to assist with deployment."
"Some of the most helpful features of ABBYY Vantage that I really appreciate are the accuracy and the multilingual capabilities."
"The solution's AI technology is genius."
"I would advise others to go for it and just implement it; it is a really good solution."
"My favorite feature is that you can have unlimited bots without having to buy more licenses. That's a powerful option for scalability."
"The most valuable feature is the price."
"The drag and drop feature, which is no code, is very useful for me because I am not a technical person. It is very user-friendly."
"The solution is user-friendly with a really good UI and ID."
"It's a very stable product."
"The product's setup is straightforward."
"The product's initial setup phase was easy."

Cons

"Also, we're seemingly plagued with certain technological issues or bugs."
"I would like the support to be faster. Their response time is one to two days. Their customer care could be faster."
"I really appreciate the user interface of Automation Anywhere, but I would like to see some improvement on some of the automation around screen processing. This includes adding some artificial intelligence on the way that bots actually can read the screen and know when things change and be able to adapt to those changes."
"We tried Citrix six months ago, but the solution that they gave us did not work in our environment."
"Automation Anywhere says that you can use this tool for any type of application, but there are some for which it is not compatible."
"It's somewhat pricier than some of the other tools that we've used, and the breakout between the different applications is also somewhat costly."
"Initially, the implementation was tough."
"It should have more commands, which should remove the dependency on MetaBots or other scripts so that everything is available in the tool itself."
"I would like to see a machine learning model to make the solution more intelligent."
"We had to put a great deal of effort into this, and it took a lot of time and our money to invent our process together with ABBYY."
"It's important to incorporate image detection for signatures or other handwriting elements."
"The recognition intelligence could improve by having more details in the documents. There are limitations with the forms, templates, and manuscripts."
"Even though the training works, it's not as good as it is made out to be."
"The generic models have a lot of areas to improve. In our experience, we are not able to get good results in the generic models. From a developer's point of view, there could be more improvement if the source code is available on a broader scope"
"It would be good if the product provided an AI-based prebuilt model that predicts and gives output."
"The solution needs more web or cloud-based development."
"The solution works well with Google Chrome, but not with Microsoft Edge, which is the browser we use for automation."
"Its price could definitely be lower."
"The pricing is an area with a shortcoming, and from an improvement perspective, it needs to be made cheaper."
"I think that this solution could improve remote desktop interactions."
"When I wanted to use web scraping for tables in web applications, I found through online forums that such functionality or activity is currently not working as it shows."
"It's not applicable to very large enterprises and for difficult work or more complex processes."
"ElectroNeek comes with three activities and we cannot add activities like we can with uiPADs."
"The integrating capability of the product needs to be improved, to ensure that it works with all systems involved in a process."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We have seen the tangible benefits of taking monotonous work off people's plates, creating capacity, and cost reductions."
"When I started working on it, it was difficult to obtain a trial version (barrier to entry). Now, they have a Community Edition, which may make it easy to get started."
"We're paying a monthly subscription fee for the bot and for services. There are no additional costs beyond the standard licensing fee."
"It's somewhat pricier than some of the other tools that we've used, and the breakout between the different applications is also somewhat costly. If they can make it a little more cost-effective or bundle packages a little bit more, that would be beneficial."
"We have reduced our headcount, approximately 200 to 300 employees, by eliminating manual, repetitive work. It provides profit to the business."
"I am using that Automation Anywhere Master Certification for version 11. Recently, this has been updated in Automation Anywhere University. Until this month, it's free to use. There are no charges. That's why I would like to complete it this month."
"Time-wise: We have saved hundreds of thousands of hours."
"I think the pricing is reasonable, but clients often perceive it as expensive."
"It is moderately priced."
"Most of our customers have purchased an annual license and if you have multiple developers from other companies, you can assign the license on a monthly basis to developers."
"They have a trial license that is limited to a certain number of pages. The paid license varies from six months to one year depending on the number of documents that need to be processed."
"We were able to qualify for a reasonable price. The price is in the low to medium range compared to other solutions."
"Our company receives discounts because of our good partnership with the vendor and our vendor's partnership with ABBYY."
"The price of ABBYY FlexiCapture is better than some competitors, such as OpenText."
"Its price is a little bit high and can be lower. Its licensing is very expensive. I don't remember exactly, but for each page, it is about four or seven cents, which is too expensive."
"It is expensive as compared to UiPath. We pay for the licensing and the page count."
"I believe we had a Silver Membership or something similar annually."
"It's very affordable and the licensing is billed on a yearly basis."
"Its price could definitely be lower. Its licensing is on a yearly basis. There is no additional cost to the standard licensing fees."
"On a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive, I rate the pricing a seven."
"I give the price an eight out of ten."
"My company has made a payment towards the purchase of a license from ElectorNeek."
