Improved web performance has boosted content customization and currently delivers faster user experiences
From my perspective, I see some weaknesses in Amazon CloudFront; I would rate the product something around nine out of ten, but there are disadvantages compared to its competitors. Talking specifically about Amazon CloudFront, I think they could have some additional features in the future, and I believe they may lack certain functionalities.

Seamless regional switch improves project efficiency
The primary challenge was not technical but organizational, as teams required more guidance to adopt AWS Global Accelerator effectively. Enhanced documentation with detailed, scenario-specific use cases (e.g., multi-region deployments, gaming, or IoT) would improve onboarding and utilization. A valuable enhancement would be extending traffic weighting capabilities to the regional level, beyond the current endpoint-level weights within endpoint groups. This would enable more granular control over traffic distribution across regions, simplifying blue-green deployments and performance testing. While AWS Global Accelerator now supports AWS CloudFormation for automated deployments, earlier experiences required manual configuration, which was cumbersome. Continued improvements in CloudFormation templates, such as prebuilt examples for common use cases, would streamline setup and enhance infrastructure-as-code adoption.

Pros

"The UI and the functionality in AWS for CloudFront is much better as compared to Azure and GCP."
"The product provides reduced latency and quicker site refreshes."
"This scalability has positively reflected in my customer's web performance and user experience, allowing for better loading times."
"Its main advantage is that it offers something in this region that wasn't available before; previously, you had to go outside of the region to get the same level of service that you can now access right here in Bahrain. It's truly incredible. Building this IX has significantly changed how traffic is handled. The technical support is good. The initial setup is very straightforward. I rate the solution a perfect ten."
"The distribution aspect of CloudFront and its ability to reduce latency are most beneficial."
"Amazon CloudFront provides valuable security by ensuring secure file access when accessing files from S3."
"The solution makes our platform fully accessible and available globally, helping us to ensure that our customers can rely on it being up and running."
"The AWS environment was very helpful in terms of integration."
"The AWS Global Accelerator allowed us to migrate from an old to a new load balancer without downtime, which was one of its excellent features."

Cons

"The UI could be more user-friendly."
"The support must be improved."
"I have utilized certain characteristics and invested effort in reading the documentation, which proved to be challenging."
"One of the biggest challenges with Amazon CloudFront is their pricing policy"
"Amazon CloudFront can improve by accurately determining the latency of a non-defined URL that the solution encounters."
"With a mixed stack, things become a problem. With GCP and Azure, the DNS setup gets tricky when using CloudFront."
"It might benefit from multi-region support to enhance performance."
"Amazon CloudFront is harder to understand compared to Azure."
"However, responses often lacked practical, real-world insights tailored to our specific needs, limiting their effectiveness."
