Has seamless data filtering and visualization for client satisfaction
One area for improvement is the cost, as it's a bit expensive. The caching mechanism also charges too much if I need to cache any data. Sometimes it takes time to display data, suggesting a need for enhancement in data visualization speed. Additionally, the role-level security is challenging to implement, and it could be improved to allow access control per department more easily.

Seamless integration, collaborative features, and enhances data exploration
There are several areas for improvement in SAP Analytics Cloud. Firstly, features available in SAP Lumira are missing in SAP Analytics Cloud. Secondly, the predictive analytics functions, although promising, are currently only suitable for Proof of Concepts (POCs) and not for industrial-scale use. Lastly, the pricing model for the planning functionality is quite high and presents an entry barrier.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It works well with the AWS ecosystem."
"It is fine for basic reporting."
"The integration is very seamless. We stored our result CSV files in S3 and connected directly from there."
"A valuable feature of Amazon QuickSight is that it's a cloud-native service provided by AWS. As all platforms within my company run on AWS, that's the leverage of Amazon QuickSight. Amazon QuickSight is also easy to use, and I find the native connectors from AWS valuable as well."
"Efficiency has definitely improved, and the speed of developing analytics and insights has increased by at least twenty percent."
"It is notably fast in handling large data set refreshes, making it efficient for data analysis."
"It helped the managers to visualize the data activities."
"The most valuable feature of Amazon QuickSight is its connectivity with other Amazon services."
"There is a real-time reporting mechanism in place. SAP Analytics Cloud operates on the SAP S/4HANA database, ensuring real-time reporting is always available. This capability allows the business to monitor cash inflows and outflows at any given moment easily."
"Visualization is quite seamless and awesome. Once the data messaging is set up, it's straightforward and simple to select how it should be displayed. So, that's another advantage of SAP."
"Technical support is helpful."
"The most valuable features are on the application side, where you can design applications into your analytics on the platform."
"The solution is quite effective for collaborative planning."
"The most valuable feature of the tool is machine learning."
"Technical support is helpful."
"SAP Analytics Cloud allows you to quickly perform various tasks in terms of virtualization. CyberArk itself requires some enhancements to better connect with other technologies. While it's easy to connect with SAP, using analytics tools may sometimes necessitate sourcing information from different platforms. You might need data from SAP or other technologies/platforms to access specific information not available within SAP. SAP is effective for managing storage and enhancing virtualization capabilities."

Cons

"The product is quite expensive because the price is too close to QlikView's prices but it does not ring as well as QlikView."
"It should support integration with Python or R."
"One area where Amazon QuickSight could improve is its formatting features for dashboards."
"You can't tell a data story as well in QuickSight as you can on others, especially in TIBCO Spotfire."
"Amazon QuickSight's visualization could be improved."
"They could provide more options for graphics and other features."
"The cost of queries is very high."
"The solution must be more user-friendly."
"However, there are areas of improvement, particularly in terms of visualization. The front-end interface of SAP Analytics Cloud is not as impressive as Tableau and Power BI. The charts in other solutions have a more visually appealing and customizable look, while in SAP Analytics Cloud, there's a lack of alignment between numbers and charts. This graphical aspect, especially concerning charts, is not as satisfactory in SAP Analytics Cloud compared to its counterparts."
"There is plenty of room for improvement. They have different products, and you need to integrate all of them to have one functionality. For example, data extraction happens in Datasphere. Then it would be best if you had some connection between the Datasphere and the SAP Analytics Cloud to get the data, as this is causing headaches sometimes. The knowledge base and Jedox also could be more meaningful. I have tried to search for some specific knowledge base and technology base, and I didn't find them. I have learned it by trial and error. There is room to improve the integrations between the different products. The AFS, and the Data action, need improvement. Sometimes they release new tools and updates, but not in my area."
"Real-time reporting is one area that needs improvement for the product."
"Pricing is fine for the BI license, but when it comes to client license, that fee is a bit high."
"The connection works only for importing data. Currently, there is no real-time integration between SAP Analytics Cloud and CRM. There are some features present in the classic but not in the optimized version. If I need to create something specific, I often have to switch the versions. It would be more convenient to have a single product that incorporates all the necessary features."
"When it comes to planning there is a concern about the ability to match the exact requirements of the customer with what the product offers."
"It should have the flexibility for scoping the story and models. When you use it in a three-layer architecture, you struggle with the fact that you usually have just one SAP Analytics Cloud tenant, and you have to switch the connections, which might be an issue for bigger developments. For the development role, there should be an option to switch between development and production scenarios."
"An additional feature that needs to be added to SAP Analytics Cloud is exporting because right now, you can only export to PDF and PowerPoint. It would be good to have multiple export options, for example, to Excel and other apps. Pricing is an area for improvement in SAP Analytics Cloud, apart from exporting."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The Amazon QuickSight licensing model my company's on is pay-as-you-go, but I wouldn't be able to give the figures because that's handled by the finance department."
"I'm using a paid version of Amazon QuickSight, paying about $22 monthly. As I have yet to learn about the pricing for other tools, such as Power BI, I won't be able to compare."
"Amazon QuickSight you subscribe and you use the service."
"It is simpler and cheaper than other solutions."
"The pricing is cost-effective with a good plan."
"It's affordable compared to other long-term contractor business tools available in the market."
"The product pricing is better than other vendors."
"The standard edition is free to use for exploration purposes while the enterprise edition needs to be paid for. The pricing for this solution is very reasonable."
"This solution offers value for money and you get what you pay for."
"SAP Analytics can be very costly to license, which can make it difficult for organizations to implement."
"It is not the most expensive one. You have to do the cost-of-ownership analysis and take a lot of things into consideration to come up with the conclusion that it is cheaper or not, but its price is reasonable. It provides value for money."
"The product is expensive."
"Its licensing is on a monthly basis."
"SAP Analytics Cloud is expensive. The price is a big issue if you compare it with other solutions from different vendors."
"Compute and storage features should be sold separately."
"It's quite expensive and costs a lot to maintain, especially with licensing."
