Optimized restaurant analytics has driven faster insights and streamlined daily reporting
Amazon Redshift offers massive parallel processing capability, allowing it to handle millions of records, along with integration with other AWS features such as S3 and QuickSight. The column-level storage supports high performance and easy data retrieval compared to other tools. The integration with S3 has helped my team immensely since S3 is our starting source, and the direct integration with Amazon Redshift simplifies the transformation and loading process. Columnar storage has benefited our performance significantly, allowing us to extract specific rows from tables with years of data much faster than other tools with row-level storage. Amazon Redshift has positively impacted our organization by significantly improving query performance and speed. Features such as easy integration with S3 allow us to process millions of records efficiently, ultimately saving us nearly one hour per day for our project.

Real-time dashboards have transformed how my team makes instant data-driven decisions
The best features Firebolt offers are sub-second query performance and elastic scaling, available both vertically and horizontally. Sub-second query performance and elastic scaling significantly help my team, as they have a direct impact on both decision-making and user experience. My team no longer has to wait for reports because insights are instant, enabling real-time monitoring and allowing dashboards to load almost instantly. Sub-second performance improves speed of insights while elastic scaling ensures consistent performance and cost efficiency, even under unpredictable workloads.

"The solution is scalable. It handles different loads very well."
"The most valuable feature of Redshift is its cluster."
"If the analyst knows SQL, which is comfortable and easy to use to go between all of these tool stacks, I think it's reliable. It's a secure and reliable data warehouse."
"The most valuable features are that it's easy to set up and easy to connect the many tools that connect to it."
"It is based on PostgreSQL, it’s managed so AWS takes care of handling infrastructure, deployments, encryption, and uptime for you, it’s cheap when you consider the price per terrabyte per year, and it’s integrated into the AWS stack."
"You can copy JSON to the column and have it analyzed using simple functions."
"Based on quality of the product and its price, it is the one of the best options available in the market now."
"Firebolt is fast for analytical purposes. For example, we have analytical data in our data warehouse, and Firebolt can quickly query it to generate quick results."
"Sub-second query performance and elastic scaling significantly help my team, as they have a direct impact on both decision-making and user experience."

Cons

"Infinite storage is available in Snowflake and is not available in Redshift."
"The explain panel in the Redshift database could be better."
"Running parallel queries results in poor performance and this needs to be improved."
"The solution has four maintenance windows so, when it comes to stability, I think it would be better to decrease their number."
"Improvement could be made in the area of streaming data. The capability can definitely be improved."
"Amazon should provide more cloud-native tools that can integrate with Redshift like Microsoft's development tools for Azure."
"It would be useful to have an option where all of the data can be queried at once and then have the result shown."
"Amazon should bring more SQL functions that are required in data warehouse implementations."
"Firebolt can be improved by enhancing UI/UX and tooling, as it currently has a smaller ecosystem compared to competitors."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The product is quite expensive."
"If you want a fixed price, an to not worry about every query, but you need to manage your nodes personally, use Redshift."
"Pricing for Amazon Redshift is reasonable, though it could be somewhat higher than other solutions, such as Azure. Still, when you base your comparison on the services offered and the pricing, it's the most reasonable versus its competitors, such as RDS."
"The solution is available at a mid-range price compared to other vendors."
"On a scale of one to ten, where one is a low price and ten is a high price, I rate the pricing a seven."
"The best part about this solution is the cost."
"Amazon Redshift is an expensive solution. Larger organizations can afford this solution, but smaller businesses would struggle to afford it."
"It's not very pricey compared to other tools. I would rate the price as 5 out of 10."
