Identity workflows have transformed how we secure logins and manage user access daily
There are different elements to the best features Auth0 Platform offers, and I have touched on them, particularly the ability to help applications authenticate and authorize their users and manage their identities. A big point is identity federation, allowing connections across multiple identity providers, enabling users to log in using existing accounts due to databases and enterprise identity systems. A strong security feature is provided, particularly with their MFA, multi-factor authentication, which includes bot detection and brute-force protection, along with breached password detection, which is really good as an added extra. Auth0 Platform has positively impacted our organization, particularly in terms of usability. While we are not selling it directly, I find the platform easy to use for authenticating different users. Our own services team handles the implementation, so I cannot comment on the ease of that process. However, whenever we have had contracts and bids to roll out services, it has been really easy. We have seen improved security due to the implementation of Auth0 Platform. User management, such as creating and deleting users, is all about enhancing the user experience, which is massive. We assist with password resets and account linking. The time to implement is shorter, and we maintain a consistent user experience with a secure login flow, benefiting from a faster implementation due to the universal login, providing a hosted login page customizable by developers.

Has improved secure user access while managing development through multiple technologies
I have already explained this in my previous call; I don't handle financial terms and commercials. Pricing is generally managed by functional teams and management looking after licensing matters. In Pakistan, vendors such as Oracle and IBM manage account relationships with clients and have tailored pricing models, so I do not have sufficient insights into that aspect.IBM Security Verify Access installation process is not straightforward; it requires underlying specialized knowledge upon which the IBM products are based. The complexity and scalability of the architecture necessitate in-depth technical knowledge and understanding of the system. Thus, installation is not as simple as clicking through; it requires extensive configuration of the underlying application servers, such as IBM WebSphere, where these products are deployed and configured.

Pros

"Auth0 Platform has positively impacted my organization mainly by improving our developer velocity, which is basically the biggest one."
"The most valuable feature is that it is simple to integrate, irrespective of your codebase."
"One of the main reasons we switched to Auth0 is that supporting an on-prem version required a certain amount of expertise and management and we didn't need to be spending money on that if we were using a software as a service provider."
"There have been many improvements in our cloud technology since we are using Auth0 Platform, and it reduces our development time while providing many features to integrate and utilize so that everything is available in one place and we can develop our application faster, which minimizes our time and maximizes utilization."
"Auth0 Platform has been working as expected, and we only need to scale our system."
"It is easily connected and easy to put our app in single sign-on."
"After implementing Auth0 Platform, I have seen measurable improvements in scalability, security, and developer velocity with our cloud environments."
"Auth0 has the best support ever."
"From the integration point of view, it supports SAML, OIDC, and OAuth; for legacy applications that don't have support for SAML and other new protocols, it provides single sign-on access to end-users, and from the integration compatibility point of view, it is highly capable."
"It's a good solution for identification and access management."
"From the integration point of view, it supports SAML, OIDC, and OAuth. For legacy applications that don't have support for SAML and other new protocols, it provides single sign-on access to end-users. From the integration compatibility point of view, it is highly capable."
"IBM Security Verify Access is providing a secure way of handling the user login journey, and secure user authentication is fully managed by ISAM or ISVA."
"It can do a lot of different functions, and different types of teams can use this product for a variety of use cases, such as RSA, OTP, and single sign-on functionalities."
"It's a good solution for identification and access management."
"IBM Security Access Manager is a very good solution, so my company is still using it."
"Its stability and UI are most valuable."

Cons

"I find it surprising that there is no access to a standard user profile."
"The pricing should be lower. A reduction of 20-25% would be great."
"Auth0 Platform could improve by allowing more than three enterprise connections, as I remember it being three."
"The product support for multi-tenancy could be improved."
"If you’re not a developer, you need to spend time exploring more."
"Scalability is quite vast, but it does lead to higher pricing as usage increases."
"This is a costly solution and the price of it should be reduced."
"There could be easy integration with IoT devices for the product."
"Configuration could be simplified for the end-user."
"The user interface needs to be simplified, it's complex and not user-friendly."
"Configuration could be simplified for the end-user."
"IBM Security Verify Access installation process is not straightforward; it requires underlying specialized knowledge upon which the IBM products are based."
"What we'd like improved in IBM Security Access Manager is its onboarding process as it's complex, particularly when onboarding new applications. We need to be very, very careful during the onboarding. We have no issues with IBM Security Access Manager because the solution works fine, apart from the onboarding process and IBM's involvement in onboarding issues. If we need support related to the onboarding, we've noticed a pattern where support isn't available, or they don't have much experience, or we're not getting a response from them. We're facing the same issue with IBM Guardium. As we're just focusing on the multi-factor authentication feature of IBM Security Access Manager and we didn't explore any other features, we don't have additional features to suggest for the next release of the solution, but we're in discussion about exploring ID management and access management features, but those are just possibilities because right now, we're focused on exploring our domain."
"They can improve the single sign-on configuration for OIDC and OAuth. That is not very mature in this product, and they can improve it in this particular area. OIDC is a third-party integration that we do with the cloud platforms, and OAuth is an authorization mechanism for allowing a user having an account with Google or any other provider to access an application. Organizations these days are looking for just-in-time provisioning use cases, but IBM Security Access Manager is not very mature for such use cases. There are only a few applications that can be integrated, and this is where this product is lagging. However, in terms of configuration and single sign-on mechanisms, it is a great product."
"There are a lot of areas that can be improved, but the main area is the lack of customization. You cannot easily customize anything in the product."
"For small or medium-sized businesses they cannot afford this solution."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It is a relatively inexpensive product in the industry."
"The tool is cheaper compared to competing solutions. Those alternatives tended to be more expensive. Consequently, Okta purchased it because it was considerably cheaper. The solution even offered some free services while still providing excellent functionality."
"Pricing of Auth0 is a pain point. Their pricing model is very confusing, at least for an enterprise. I don't like their pricing model. I think it's too aggressive. It's not very cheap for a service that only does authentication."
"I am pretty happy with the pricing model of Auth0. It is very clear for me. Considering our scale, the features that we are using, and additional features that we bought, we still find it great. If you split the costs for the whole year and calculate the number of people you needed to hire, it always comes out to be much lesser than what we would have spent on building our own solution."
"There are different price levels: B2B, B2C, and enterprise. The basic plan is about $1,500 per month."
"The license and costs depend on the amount range of users you have. For just approximately 2,000 users, the price is practical and fair. However, when you have 20,000 users, it starts to become really expensive, and the discount per user is not attractive enough to go ahead and purchase."
"The product is not expensive. It depends on the number of users."
"It costs about 300K AED for a year. Its pricing is a bit on the higher end, but in comparison to other products in the market, its price is still better. There are lots of other products that are very costly."
