Automated deployments have reduced downtime and now deliver faster, consistent releases
AWS CodeDeploy offers several valuable features, including deployment to fleets of EC2 servers, on-premises servers deployed to data center infrastructure, AWS Lambda for serverless function updates, and Amazon ECS for containerized applications. The feature I use most frequently is deployment to Amazon EC2 instances, where I deploy backend services to EC2 servers, enabling zero-downtime deployment. AWS CodeDeploy supports rolling updates, blue-green deployments, and canary deployments to minimize or eliminate downtime. Additional standout features include consistent deployments across environments, the ability to deploy to development, staging, and production environments, centralized control, integration with CI/CD pipelines, and automatic rollback. AWS CodeDeploy has positively impacted my organization by significantly reducing deployment times to achieve zero downtime during deployments. Generally, it takes very little time for backend services to be deployed to EC2 instances.

Automating dashboards has saved time and now supports prompt-driven task workflows
My main use case for Digital.ai Agility is learning to create a dashboard and prompt engineering. I am trying to automate my tasks by automating the dashboard The best feature Digital.ai Agility offers me so far is that I write a prompt and receive the result for that. I see the time saving with…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The product's initial setup phase is easy."
"The biggest feature of AWS CodeDeploy is its scalability."
"The product is easy to use."
"It is very flexible."
"You can easily integrate AWS CodeDeploy with multiple services."
"I appreciate the feature for automating the deployment of code to the server."
"The most valuable features of AWS CodeDeploy are its integration with other AWS services to deploy applications."
"AWS CodeDeploy operates on an on-demand basis. This means that you only pay for the exact duration of the deployment process. Whether it takes one minute, two minutes, or even longer, you're only charged for the time it takes to complete the deployment. You're not locked into paying for dedicated servers."
"Agility is highly flexible. It can do much more than what our client is doing with it. They use it in a defined way. Some at that company have a much broader knowledge of agile and SAFe, but they're given applications and a mandated way to work. We had to work within their parameters and provide an accurate transition so the data would be mapped and pushed through."
"I prefer Agility out of the three applications we work with because it has the most flexibility and can work at a higher level."
"You can use Digital.ai Agility for automating your tasks and creating your dashboard."
"It allows my clients to have one central tool to manage their agile projects."
"It can generate reports showing a burndown chart, burnup chart, and the planned vs actual velocity."
"For visualization capabilities, the automation capabilities make it possible to support the different personas. The features and capabilities are excellent and come with excellent support."
"With some of the other tools, you have to buy 20 different plugins to get to the same capability that comes with the basic Agility capability."
"The most valuable thing is kind of the whole package together."

Cons

"Improvements could be made to AWS CodeDeploy in terms of its agent's compatibility across different operating systems. Currently, there are instances where the agent may not work seamlessly with certain integrations, leading to issues with registering protocols on authorized servers."
"We have faced some issues and bugs along the way when it comes to stability."
"There will always be room for improvement, however, I cannot think of any specific improvements at the moment."
"AWS should provide its own templates in the console so that I don't need to go anywhere else to get the template for AWS CodeDeploy or AWS CodeBuild."
"AWS CodeDeploy's lack of ability to use independently without CodePipeline or CodeBuild makes it unstable."
"I faced some stability issues."
"The support and those things are lacking compared to others."
"AWS CodeDeploy doesn't provide multiple plugins like Jenkins, which is a shortcoming where improvements are required."
"In my work as a contractor, it's always frustrating when a client has multiple software applications that don't talk to each other and they all perform the same function. That presents a huge challenge between their IT groups."
"It was not supporting some plugins. We wanted to migrate data that we were already using."
"The response from Digital.ai Agility is a little bit slow and could be faster."
"Improve how to create and track releases. Currently, I have to create child projects."
"The machine learning features are a new capability but could be improved. This is being worked by Digital.ai currently. Multicolor simulation, specifically, could be improved."
"The user interface can be improved by adding Save, Edit, Add, Cancel, and Return buttons to the popup windows that are displayed when you click on a child item."
"There is room for improvement in getting the analytics portion of the solution more integrated with the rest of it."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The product's price is normal."
"The product is free with EC2."
"Since we are using a dedicated AWS environment, the solution's pricing is fine."
"AWS CodeDeploy has proven to be a cost-effective solution for us, especially considering the benefits we gain from using it. In terms of pricing, AWS is quite affordable, providing excellent value for the features and services it offers."
"It is costly."
"You get what you pay for. Don't let your development teams dictate what the portfolio management team should use as the main tool."
"Comparing the pricing to other products, I think this solution is in the middle."
