It acts as a dedicated VIP channel for communication between two private IP addresses, allowing only restricted users to access it
The setup of Azure Private Link within SQL Server could be made much easier. If there was a simple button for setup, that would be helpful. The process of setting up the private link and connecting the database with the correct naming convention is a complex process. I would recommend to allow access to restricted public access and private endpoint functionality. Currently, it's either public or private, but having the option for both would be beneficial. This allows public users to work through the public channel and vice versa.

Offers strong integration capabilities and reliable features but needs pricing and scaling improvements
Many things are evolving with the AI buzz in the market. What I would like to see improved or enhanced in webMethods.io in the future is that since webMethods.io is already under IBM, I think IBM will introduce and integrate AI into it. Additionally, regarding what webMethods.io can improve is the license cost. Other cloud players are also providing the same kind of functionality, such as AWS and Azure. webMethods.io is being installed on-premises, but AWS is providing it directly in the cloud. When comparing the license cost and request per minute cost, webMethods.io needs to address that. There are many competitors in the market for this.

Pros

"Azure Private Link ensures that any kind of transaction or activity on the cloud uses private IPs and is detached from the external world, preventing malicious access."
"This solution has given us a competitive advantage because we have better automation and insight."
"We needed a tool that was able to orchestrate and help us configure our APIs so that we could maintain and see the heartbeat, traffic, trends, etc."
"The single biggest differences between webMethods and the other solutions are the range of the offering, the connectors, the stability of the system, the fact that it is an enterprise-grade system, and that you can basically do anything you need with it."
"It is good for communicating between the systems and for publishing and subscribing. We can easily retrieve data. It is good in terms of troubleshooting and other things."
"This solution is flexible and can be used across a number of projects."
"It integrates well with various servers."
"WebMethods is the recommended solution if you want a stable integration, an ESB platform, and a B2B."
"Currently, we're using this solution for the integration server which helps us to integrate with the mainframe."

Cons

"The setup of Azure Private Link within SQL Server could be made much easier. If there was a simple button for setup, that would be helpful. The process of setting up the private link and connecting the database with the correct naming convention is a complex process."
"Software AG should investigate the reporting of products like Spotfire from TIBCO."
"webMethods.io does not currently have certain features, and we have to do coding as well."
"For code version control, you need to use some external software."
"I am not satisfied with the solution because it takes too much effort to migrate and add new information. The migration could be easier."
"The orchestration is not as good as it should be."
"Pricing is the number-one downfall. It's too expensive."
"They should develop clear visibility for the onboarding. They could also improve the clustering."
"Business monitoring (BAM) needs improvement because the analytics and prediction module very often has performance problems."

"Some of the licensing is "component-ized," which is confusing to new users/customers."
