Easy to deploy and configure, stable, and has good support

The weakest point of this product is how difficult it is to understand the reasons for an alert. This is a problem because it is hard to determine whether an attack is real or not. It blocks the behavior automatically but it is quite difficult to check the reason for this, and it is something that we are discussing with Morphisec. We need to have better reporting features that are able to produce KPIs that we can show to management. Improved analytics reports would help us to understand what type of attack it is and how it was able to reach a particular computer.

"It should be more secure. There should be more protection, especially for non-signature-based malware. It works fine for non-signature-based malware, but I expect it to become a bit more advanced to be able to cope with future or upcoming environments."

"It would be better if there were real-time alerts. The whole suite, unlike most anti-virus consoles that just ping you when there's an infection or something, for some inexplicable reason, Bitdefender doesn't do that. The most you could do is get an hourly email, or maybe if there's an outbreak that affects 30% of our machines, it sends me an email. There's no real-time alert to say, "Hey, so-and-so literally 30 seconds ago just had this happen on their machine." Real-time reporting would be a huge improvement. All in all, it's a pretty nice product, generally speaking. They do a pretty good job. They can pretty much go toe to toe with just about anybody. But it's that kind of real-time nature. I've not had occasion to use the EDR portion to actually try and do any kind of custom scripting to drill into things that are going on at the endpoints. But my understanding from reading comments of others is that it's not particularly flexible in that regard to be able to do things like that."

"We would like to see the time it takes for the sandbox to analyze a file reduced from its ten or fifteen minute duration to five."

"Right now, it's just their auto-update feature. I know they are currently working on that. When they release a new version of the threat prevention platform, I do have to update that, rolling out to every computer. They have said, "From version 5, you would be able to do an auto-update." While this is very minor, that is the only thing that I would say needs to be upgraded. It would just make life a lot easier for other IT teams. However, I have simplified the process, so all I need to do is just download one file."

"If anything, tech support might be their weakest link. The process of getting someone involved sometimes takes a little time. It seems to me that they should have all the data they need to let me know whether an alert is legitimate or not, but they tend to need a lot of information from me to get to the bottom of something. "You need a license to a certain extent. You need to pay for advanced features. For corporate accounts, it isn't is really a problem, but pricing is an important thing for many companies."

"I think it's probably less expensive than something like CrowdStrike. We got a really good deal because it was literally their year-end, and they were trying to close all the sales for the week. So we bought a three-year contract from them. It roughly ended up costing me somewhere around $17 for an endpoint per year. It was really quite a nice pricing. I've talked to other folks where they got CrowdStrike, and it's like $60 for an endpoint for a year. It does, and they can be pretty aggressive if you're dealing with them directly, and I have. So no complaints there."

"Compared to their competitors, the price of Morphisec is not that high. You can easily deploy it on a large-scale or small-scale network."

"Morphisec is reasonably priced because our parent company's other subsidiaries use different products like CrowdStrike. CrowdStrike is four or five times more expensive than Morphisec. The competitive pricing saves us money in our overall security stack."

"It does not have multi-tenants. If South Africa wants to show only the machines that they have, they need their own cloud incidence. "Price-wise, it's on the higher side. A traditional antivirus solution is cheaper, but in terms of security and manageability, its ROI is better than a traditional antivirus. "Our licensing is tied into our contract. Because we have a long-term contract, our pricing is a little bit lower. It is per year, so we don't get charged per endpoint, but we do have a cap. Our cap is 80 endpoints. If we were to go over 80, when we renewed our contract, which is not until three years are over. Then, they would reevaluate, and say, "Well, you have more than 80 devices active right now. This is going to be the price change." They know that we are installing and replacing computers, so the numbers will be all over the place depending on whether you archive or don't archive, which is the reason why we just have to keep up on that stuff."
