Room For Improvement

BizTalk Server needs better debugging, deployment, scalability, cloud integration, JSON support, API management, and task management to stay competitive.
webMethods.io struggles with legacy models, integration issues, and cost, prompting user requests for UI, analytics, and AI enhancements.
We initially planned to move to Azure Integration Services, but there are challenges with AIS, so now we are evaluating WebMethods IO.
Service Owner at a logistics company with 10,001+ employees
BizTalk Server needs improvements, especially because we use it for EDI messaging, and it would be very useful to have enhanced tracking capabilities for message tracking and archiving of messages.
Consultant at EC live! Hans Pointner
When comparing the license cost and request per minute cost, webMethods.io needs to address that.
Developer at a hospitality company with 1,001-5,000 employees
Another enhancement would be in OCR; currently, there is a huge demand for OCR capabilities. It would be perfect if webMethods.io had a built-in component for OCR, as this would be tested and allow customers to use it better than a third-party OCR application.
Sales Director at Proven Consult
A special discount of at least 50% for old customers would allow us to expand our services and request more resources.

Setup Cost

BizTalk Server offers flexible deployment but can be costly compared to Azure, with users favoring cloud solutions for efficiency.
webMethods.io provides flexible enterprise-focused pricing, notable for high capability yet potentially high costs, with scalable and negotiable options.
The only thing I heard is that it's not inexpensive.

Regarding the pricing and licensing of webMethods.io, I don't think it's expensive when compared with the features.

Effective data integration and reliable process automation enhance productivity
The features of BizTalk Server I have found the most valuable include all the connectivity to systems such as SAP and others. It is sometimes a complicated system, but you can do almost everything with it. BizTalk Server offers workflow functionality that I find very effective for process automation. They call it orchestrations where you can define logic for integrating systems. Regarding the adapter framework in BizTalk Server, I usually work with standard features. You have a tool called BizTalk Mapper, where you can define the mappings between different formats. It's less about programming on the very low level; it's rather doing configuration on a higher level.

Offers strong integration capabilities and reliable features but needs pricing and scaling improvements
Many things are evolving with the AI buzz in the market. What I would like to see improved or enhanced in webMethods.io in the future is that since webMethods.io is already under IBM, I think IBM will introduce and integrate AI into it. Additionally, regarding what webMethods.io can improve is the license cost. Other cloud players are also providing the same kind of functionality, such as AWS and Azure. webMethods.io is being installed on-premises, but AWS is providing it directly in the cloud. When comparing the license cost and request per minute cost, webMethods.io needs to address that. There are many competitors in the market for this.
