It is flexible on the database and application side
The primary use case is for business Twice, I have seen a measurable decrease in the mean time to detect or respond to threats. Make the back-end installation simpler. I would like integration with other mobile solutions. It is stable, which is good. It is flexible on the database and…

It's an easy and effective solution, especially for device profiling without agents
Forescout Platform's most valuable aspect is its excellent device profiling for devices without agents, which is crucial for our work due to challenges with agent-based devices. Its isolation and blocking actions are particularly effective for network security. The device compliance feature helps us ensure device compliance through immediate actions like updating antivirus software. We have already integrated Forescout with antivirus and vulnerability assessment tools, allowing it to monitor vulnerability scores and automatically isolate devices if critical vulnerabilities are detected.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It is flexible on the database and application side."
"The stability is amazing for the Forescout Platform. We have been using Forescout for four years, and no one complained about the stability."
"We really like that we get full visibility of devices in the local network."
"Forescout Platform's best feature is plug-in integration."
"Forescout Platform has granular features and one of the most impressive features is the agentless feature."
"The standout strength of this solution lies in its unique capability to effectively manage unmanaged switches."
"The 802.1X compliance authentication feature of this solution is very good."
"Obtaining visibility into the network and connected devices is very simple with this tool. It takes me three minutes to do a base deployment when all the parameters are available."
"It has helped with improving our security posture in terms of controlling the access of rogue devices into our network through identification. We have been able to prevent rogue device activities on the network, check the health of the system, and ensure remediation."

Cons

"I would like integration with other mobile solutions."
"The ability to block external devices in Mac is lacking and needs to be added."
"Forescout Platform could improve the costs of integrations."
"It's scalable, but not without a big investment. It doesn't do so well at the branch. At the home office, it does okay and not so well at the branch."
"I should be able to integrate my Forescout with any other third party security technology, to build that connected security strategy."
"Forescout Platform needs to improve how the device works in preventing rogue servers."
"More detailed analysis during the authentication process, especially for troubleshooting access issues. We have found that troubleshooting RADIUS controls is quite arduous, as it is today. A trace function could easily resolve this by providing a means by which access issues from a certificate to passwords or accounts could easily be identified and remediated."
"Can be expensive if it's only being used for one feature."
"Search - needs boolean functionality (or pseudo operand now working)."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The licensing costs are $5000 USD."
"There are no additional costs that I am aware of."
"We paid between $20,000 and $25,000 for a three-year license with maintenance."
"The price of the solution is reasonable. We have paid for the license for five years. We have integration with Symantec AV for orchestration, and we have an additional license."
"The tool's pricing is expensive but reasonable."
"They base the license on the number of devices, which is quite misleading."
"For one license, we pay around 3,000 Indian rupees."
"Licenses are perpetual but can come with renewable support."
"We have a very clear licensing model for business. I don't have to have a Ph.D. to be able to understand the licensing model as you might need for other solutions. If I know exactly what we want, it can tell you which license you need. The solution is easy for purchasing, ordering, and ease of deployment as well."
