Offer cloud-based management and cost-efficient flexibility
Ubiquiti UniFi Switches ( /products/ubiquiti-unifi-switches-reviews ) are cost-effective, flexible to use and manage, and offer functionality similar to high-tier equipment like Cisco. They are compatible with any version of PoE-enabled device, whether AF or AT compatible, and allow control over power to PoE devices. The switches enable management from anywhere using the cloud controller, making configuration changes and management easier.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It is easy to configure and provides good technical support."
"It has good integration with HPE Primera. They have smart zoning in which the administration is very easy. You don't have to do anything. Zoning and other things are done automatically if you just enable the smart zoning. That's one very good thing in HP."
"The most valuable feature of Brocade Ethernet Switches is the good range of access it provides."
"The technical support is good."
"The reliability of Brocade is the most valuable feature. The solution has been up and running for over ten years without any fail, fixes required, or breakdowns. It is a very strong piece of equipment."
"There's a zone for each server and services in the storage."
"The initial setup was really straightforward and easy."
"The switches last for a very long time."

"The most valuable feature of Ubiquiti UniFi Switches is that once you buy them, you own them."
"The solution's most valuable feature is its reliability."
"The most valuable feature of Ubiquiti UniFi Switches is the graphic user interface for monitoring, where you can see the status of the device in real-time. I use those features across the campus. I use the APs as my beacons to tell me whether the area of the school of the network is down or not. Those will be the first to alert me that there is a problem with the network or a device. They provide me with more than only monitoring themselves, I use them in order to monitor all the devices."
"The product's most valuable features include its robust performance and reliability."

Cons

"It should be simpler. There are still some things that can be simpler in the Brocade switches."
"It could be made easier to configure with a graphical interface."

"The solution could be more secure."
"Brocade Ethernet Switches could improve by having better compatibility with web management of older versions."

"There are some performance issues."

"It would be nice if there was a way to label all of the ports on it so that I could include information about where the various connections go."
"It's difficult to manage the WiFi on the edge switches in the same console."
"We need to upgrade everything too often."
"One area for improvement would be having a web interface directly on the device itself. That's the one thing that makes them more difficult for less experienced technicians to configure."
"I face issues sometimes when two switches or APs are installed next to each other, leading to speed problems."
"There is a need for more documentation on DNS Masq configurations with on-prem DNS servers and how firewall policies work."
"The initial deployment was a bit complex."
"They could integrate artificial intelligence for more advanced network traffic analysis and optimization features into the product."
