Advanced email filtering has reduced phishing incidents and protects users across our organization
Check Point Anti-Spam and Email Security Software Blade works very well overall, but there are a few areas where it could be improved. One is the reporting interface; it is useful but could be more intuitive and provide clearer insights without needing to go through multiple menus. I would also like to see faster or more seamless updates to threat intelligence so the system reacts even more quickly to new phishing techniques. Regarding the reporting feature of Check Point Anti-Spam and Email Security Software Blade, I think the reporting and analytics could be more modern and integrated. The data is there, but a more customizable dashboard or clearer summaries would make it easier to present threats or justify decisions to management. Better visualization would really help. Another improvement I would like to see is deeper integration with the platforms we use, such as more seamless connections with our ticketing system or user directory. Everything works, but a deeper level of automation would be beneficial.
This is a dud product with inferior spam filtering
This is a dud product with inferior spam filtering versus alternatives like SpamHero, and the continuity feature is essentially marketing fluff. Failed deliveries, for example, they don't count it as an issue so those messages won't be queued for another delivery attempt. As I understand it from talking to their support, if the server pings or sends any response at all, then Mail Assure will not keep a copy. It will also weirdly mark messages during that outage as rejected, so it's not like Mail Assure doesn't know that the message never reached the user(s).

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Mail sanitisation features are second to none."
"It is a highly cost-effective solution for all kinds of small, marginal, and medium enterprises."
"The Check Point Anti Spam and Email Security software blade is a one-stop solution for the restriction and blocking of endpoints and other software threats and completely blocks their entry into the system."
"It has provided us with an easy way to avoid invasive mail."
"The functionality is better."
"The real-time threat intelligence and advanced phishing detection make a big difference in our day-to-day work because since deploying them, we have seen a noticeable drop in the phishing emails reaching end-user inboxes, which reduces the number of security incidents that we need to investigate and saves time for the SOC team."
"Advanced Spam Filtering to identify and block unwanted email messages."
"We now have better security and fewer false positives."
"The only benefit from Mail Assure is its white label feature and its per-user licensing plus the ability to package archiving and spam protection into a single interface."

Cons

"It would be useful to have more logs and in aggregate mode, perhaps through a specific report, that can be more easily used for troubleshooting."
"If you face any configuration problems, Check Point is the only solution."
"Check Point Anti-Spam and Email Security Software Blade can be improved as there is a lack of KB documentation while deploying and configuring this solution."
"Check Point Anti-Spam and Email Security Software Blade works very well overall, but there are a few areas where it could be improved."
"It does not provide for standalone configuration on the security gateway. Instead, you need to have a management server/smart console for managing it."
"User experience can be improved."
"Regarding Checkpoint, I would suggest an easier interface to understand. The interface is a bit overwhelming with information overload for someone new to it."
"After six months, the mail was in fits and starts and the Check Point infrastructure was not responding properly."
"This is a dud product with inferior spam filtering versus alternatives like SpamHero, and the continuity feature is essentially marketing fluff."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"This is a simple system with a very low cost and basic functions, which surely is ideal for a small company."
"I rate the pricing as an eight on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive."
"The cost is competitive with other security products on the market."
"I rate the product pricing a seven out of ten."
"For licensing, my company makes yearly payments, which is expensive."
"Choosing the correct set of licenses is essential because, without the additional software blade licenses, the Check Point gateways are just a stateful firewall."
"Reasonably priced solution."
