The solution is easy to implement, but the scalability and technical support must be improved
The solution is used for endpoint security The simplicity of implementation is valuable. The way the management file is integrated into the environment must be improved. Currently, I am using the solution. The tool is stable. We did not have any issues with it. I rate the tool’s scalability a…

Proactive dark web intelligence has reduced breach impact and protects organizations quietly
Cybersixgill has one of the largest data lakes around. I think the way they can be improved is to be able to initially during the onboarding, make sure that the false positives are correctly addressed to really do the tweaks that need to be done to filter through exactly what the organization is trying to accomplish and give them the outcomes they are looking for without all the extra noise or chatter. I just think during the onboarding, that is the most crucial part to make sure that the organizations who purchase Cybersixgill ensure that they actually have the right person or persons to go through the onboarding to make sure that the data lake feeds can be properly set up and organized so it can filter through the noise and the chatter.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most valuable feature is the integration with firewalls. It's integrated with AMP so the ecosystem with equal solutions from Threat Grid is good with CISCO products."
"The simplicity of implementation is valuable."
"It is easy to implement and is very scalable, it also comes with very good documentation, and Cisco provides good technical support as well."
"The advanced analysis has made our security operations more efficient. It has also potentially given us quicker access to data that we might not have otherwise located."
"Rather than hiring more analysts, we have been able to do more with less and automate some of our investigation functions."
"If I conducted research manually it would take one week, but by using Sixgill it takes two hours or three hours."
"The size and scope of the solution’s collection is amazing, and when we compare what other solutions can and cannot do, we see how Cybersixgill Investigative Portal is superior in many ways."
"The solution’s approach of using limited open source intelligence and focusing, instead, on the Deep Web and Dark Web is what seals the deal. That is why I like them. I have other tools that I can aggregate all the open source intelligence from. I value Cybersixgill because it provides access to things that no one else does."
"If you are looking for threat intelligence that can cater to various needs from IOC to threat advisories and along with dark web intelligence, then you should try Cybersixgill."
"I have been very vocal about how much this tool has helped."
"Cybersixgill has positively impacted many organizations by being able to quickly identify what attack is taking place."

Cons

"Support must be improved."
"They come in and have multiple management solutions but it doesn't scan or doesn't have the ability to look at every file extension."
"There are other competitors who do it better. They have a better market share and you can see they have better visibility on the fleet."
"I was told that the user interface could be more user friendly and easy in comparison to that of competitors. I remember that there is a competitor who has a much easier interface for many users to interact with."
"I want to highlight that sometimes Cybersixgill retrieves leak information from the past two years, which can be very irrelevant to the client."
"The breadth of access to data is good, but there are gaps."
"I think the way they can be improved is to be able to initially during the onboarding, make sure that the false positives are correctly addressed to really do the tweaks that need to be done to filter through exactly what the organization is trying to accomplish and give them the outcomes they are looking for without all the extra noise or chatter."
"Regarding their scraping abilities, things could be solidified. There are definitely improvements that could be made on the specificity for setting certain queries."
"We need real-time updated information. If we could have this, it would be amazing."
"We need real-time updated information. If we could have this, it would be amazing. For example, if someone was posting something, then ten second later, it was on the platform. Sometimes, it takes a minute or hours right now, depending on the forum."
"Sixgill has strong capabilities based on search queries, but there is some difficulty in using Sixgill. Their querying is very powerful but it can be difficult. It's not hugely complex but you need some skill to use Sixgill querying."
"The breadth of access to data is good, but there are gaps. More data would be my suggestion because the platform is good and I have no complaints about the system. I think it is just a case of always trying to get more data sources."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"If I remember correctly, the licensing cost is a little bit higher than that of the competitor."
"The pricing and licensing are good. It is expensive for us because the US dollar is quite strong compared to our dollar. Otherwise, it is quite reasonable for what it is. All the tools in the market are around the same price from my experience."
"Sometimes, Cybersixgill Investigative Portal is cheaper than its competitors."
"The pricing is cheap compared with Recorded Future. Sixgill's cost-effectiveness is very good."
