Has good integration capability and provides information and events but improvement is needed in information retrieval speed
The best features are the comprehensive event collection and analysis. Once set up properly, we receive all events and information. The team analyzes our data and presents incidents to us. We can communicate with their team to escalate and resolve incidents. It has a feature we use to search for information about our environment and past incidents. This is very valuable. The integration capability is very good - the ClearSkies SaaS NG SIEM team is collaborative. We've integrated most of our systems, including EDR and NDR. They have agents to collect events from servers and assets.

Provides strong detection capabilities but requires improvements in parsing and stability
I cannot think of any specific features that LogRhythm SIEM can improve upon since it supports a wide variety of major vendors. However, they need to improve their parsing techniques; the tool should understand various devices and present data in a human-readable format. For example, if a personal Android mobile needs to be integrated, LogRhythm SIEM should be able to parse that data effectively. They also need to improve their database of supported devices to cover smaller vendors alongside the major players, allowing for better global reach and usability. I have noticed some problems with parsing errors, event mismatches, and data mismatching, so ensuring accurate parsing and continuous improvement according to device updates are my basic expectations as a detection engineer.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The correlation rules and the user platform are most valuable."
"The integration capability is very good - the ClearSkies SaaS NG SIEM team is collaborative. We've integrated most of our systems, including EDR and NDR. They have agents to collect events from servers and assets."
"ClearSkies is the best for software as a service and small organizations with up to 500 employees."
"It has been the easiest SIEM platform that I have worked with or seen in production."
"This solution has been almost like a transformative change in how we detect and then respond to incidence."
"A lot of it is being a single point of log management for the whole company, not only for our compliance, but basically it has become an operational tool for our company, for our day-to-day stuff."
"When I say LogRhythm is a mature product, I mean it covers all 360 degrees for SIEM requirements which is not there in the other products."
"Now it pulls it all into one spot and we're actually able to correlate data and say, "Hey look, this person's really actually being shady," and go from there."
"The GUI is very intuitive and the solution has good integration."
"Their customer support is friendly and willing to help."
"Overall, it's had a very positive impact on our security posture."

Cons

"They can add behavior analytics and AI or machine learning technology."
"The main issue for improvement is the platform's slowness in presenting information. Retrieving information can take a little time when clicking on something."
"They can add behavior analytics and AI or machine learning technology. They also improve their correlation engine. In addition to collecting logs from devices, they can collect the traffic and then correlate these logs and the traffic information."
"Scalability-wise, it's not that great, but integration with other solutions is pretty easy."
"There are other security technologies outside of this SIEM that should be inside of this SIEM."
"Right now I know there's a big issue with reporting. It's challenging, at least for us, to do some of the reporting within the system itself."
"The main problem I have with LogRhythm SIEM is its stability; the solution is not stable."
"Just integration into our ticketing system, which we're using service now."
"The responses provided by the cloud team are inefficient."
"I'm not sure if I would recommend the solution to others as they still need to improve a few things."
"It should have some more message monitoring features. It can also have some free message monitoring tools."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Regarding pricing, I'd say it's in the middle range. Pricing is very good compared to others."
"They have changed the pricing policy. Its price is competitive. Its price is less than half of the price of QRadar, LogRhythm, and Splunk."
"NextGen SIEM's pricing is moderate."
"The setup and licensing for small and medium size businesses is straightforward, though when it comes to the enterprise it pays to keep in mind the possibility for complications given all the extras and add-ons that may be required."
"On a scale of one to ten, where one is low, and ten is high, I rate the pricing between six and seven."
"If you don't have your staff, absolutely look into the co-pilot and factor that into your cost evaluation."
"I would rate the pricing 4 out of 5. There are no additional costs to the standard licensing fees."
"It costs a great amount, but its pricing is competitive with some of the other vendors. For licensing and support, we pay about 20,000. There are no additional costs or anything like that."
"Look for whatever will give you the most value. That's the main point. It is not one size fits all."
"When it comes time to renew, they say, "This is what you are using. This is what we can do for you." So, they work with you on pricing."
