Secures the business for customers quickly and accurately
It secures the business for the customers. For instance, if any phishing emails come into the environment and employees see it, we direct the email to Triage. The Triage system will investigate it through AI technology to see if it's a phishing email or not. If it is a phishing email, it will quarantine it and erase it from the environment.

Experience high detection and user-friendly policies with reliable email security implementation
The system is not user-friendly because you have to create policies that are mapped in a dictionary. As an IT engineer, I understand how it works, but explaining it to another IT person can be difficult. Having more user-friendly dashboards would improve the work experience. In Mimecast Email Security, checking policies in the dictionary or gateway is very complicated, and not everyone understands this process. If you examine the Check Point portal, it's user-friendly with easily accessible tabs that anyone can explore. With Mimecast Email Security, making changes might impact existing mailboxes. The portal is complicated compared to Check Point's user-friendly interface.

Pros

"For instance, if any phishing emails come into the environment and employees see it, we direct the email to Triage. The Triage system will investigate it through AI technology to see if it's a phishing email or not. If it is a phishing email, it will quarantine it and erase it from the environment."
"The solution is pretty straightforward to use and easy to set up."
"I recommend Mimecast based on customer requirements and budget."
"The interface of this solution is very easy to navigate and user-friendly. There is no delivery in email and other communications, making it reliable. The configuration is relatively easy."
"Its administration console is very easy to use. The administration console is absolutely important because you interact with the platform through it."
"The solution's performance is good."
"The platform's most valuable features are journaling and email archiving, effectively stopping phishing attacks."
"I would rate Mimecast Email Security a nine out of ten."
"The initial setup is very straightforward."

Cons

"If they continue improving and enhancing this solution, it could be even faster and more accurate."
"From an administrative point of view, Mimecast is a little bit cumbersome and difficult. It's not something that the end-user can easily find navigate themselves."
"The installation is not so straightforward."
"Their support should be improved. They are notorious for sending you to knowledge-based articles rather than actually talking to you, but that is, unfortunately, kind of becoming a trend with everything. In terms of features, I haven't had any complaints. However, I don't like the fact they moved to a paid training subscription model. They used to have a lot of free webinars for training, but they have started to charge for them in the past year."
"External security features need improvement."
"While it's quick and easy, the initial setup could be more user-friendly."
"They could provide a unified licensing model, including all the security features."
"Lately, Mimecast's outbound mail servers have been regularly blocklisted by spam filters. That didn't happen a few years back, but it seems to be a more frequent problem these days. When a server is blocklisted, it means all of my outgoing mail ends up in the recipient's junk mail. That affects my reputation and business confidence."
"The solution should include more AI features instead of Mimecast's more general static configuration tooling."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"On a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive, I rate the pricing a ten."
"I'm always going to say the price needs to be lower, but it's reasonable."
"Compared to the other solutions in the market, Mimecast Email Security with Targeted Threat Protection's pricing is fine."
"It is a bit expensive."
"The product has good pricing in terms of return on investment."
"The customers can select the license packages as per their requirements."
"It's an expensive solution."
"Compared to the other products in the market, it is neither cheap but nor very expensive. I would rate it somewhere in the middle, 5 out of 10."
