Centralized monitoring has transformed telecom troubleshooting and now reduces downtime proactively
Coralogix works well for our needs, but there are a few areas where improvements can be made. One area is querying performance for large-scale data sets. When we are dealing with very high log volumes, some complex queries take time to return results. Improving query speed and optimization would enhance the troubleshooting experience. Another point is the learning curve for advanced features. While basic usage is straightforward, advanced querying and dashboard configurations can take time for new users we are onboarding. We have faced this situation in our organization's domain frequently. More simplified UI options or guided templates would help new team members onboard faster. Additionally, dashboard customization flexibility needs improvement. Although dashboards are useful, having more flexibility in customization would make them even more powerful. An important point is cost optimization. Since log volume is high in our environment, better visibility and control over cost optimization would be beneficial. These are minor improvements overall. Coralogix already provides strong capabilities for centralized logging and monitoring, but enhancing these areas would make it even more efficient for large-scale environments in our telecom servers. Improvements could include query performance, alert noise reduction, and ease of use for advanced features, especially for large-scale environments like ours.

Log analysis has become clearer and faster but visualization and extensibility still need work
The problem was with the complexity and the cost to add extensions. We found this very expensive to buy another version with additional features. I think that Graylog Enterprise does not have customizable dashboards. I did not see them in Graylog Enterprise because most of the time we used the open source free version, which is limited. I think Graylog Enterprise should improve some things that they have in the paid version and perhaps provide users with a menu that gives examples of parsing logs and draws graphics so that people do not need to improve another system such as Grafana. This would be interesting. When it comes to functionalities, I found the log management in Graylog Enterprise acceptable. It is very simple to use and to collect logs. It has support for different protocols and different ports, and the sidecar is easy to use. However, in visualization, I think it needs to be much better.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Numerous data monitoring tools are available, but Coralogix somehow fine-tunes our policies and effectively supports our teams."
"It's been absolutely brilliant, I would say."
"A non-tech person can easily get used to it."
"After implementing Coralogix, I noticed specific outcomes and improvements; whenever we try to fetch the data or check the monitoring logs, the spikes, the bars, and the graphs open very quickly, the latency is really very low, and it opens everything very fast, which makes a good impact on our organization."
"Coralogix has positively impacted our organization by providing us with a clearer data flow, which allows us to analyze data better and find errors easier using the smart logs it offers."
"Coralogix scales well, and I will rate it nine out of ten."
"The log monitoring is good, and the dashboards that we create are beneficial."
"The initial setup is straightforward."
"Graylog Enterprise positively impacts the organization by helping the team and analysts investigate incidents faster since logs from servers, endpoints, cloud, and firewalls are available in one place."
"Open source and user friendly."
"Message forwarding through the in-built module."
"The build is stable and requires little maintenance, even compared to some extremely expensive products."
"Graylog is worth the given effort."
"Everything stands out as valuable, including the fact that I can quantify and qualify the logs, create pipelines and process the logs in any way I like, and create charts or data maps."
"I like the simplicity of the solution, the fact that it's open source and user friendly."
"It is easier to find some issues, and if I find some issues, then it is easier to resolve them."

Cons

"I think Coralogix can be improved by setting up some AI type of tool inside it which can help new users."
"Maybe they could make it more user-friendly."
"The user interface could be more intuitive and explanatory."
"The customizable dashboards haven't really helped with my company's efficiency at all, and I think there's room for improvement."
"Coralogix works well for our needs, but there are a few areas where improvements can be made."
"Coralogix can be improved by having better documentation to help new people onboard into this platform and understand the systems, including how they can integrate their cloud provider to better understand how Coralogix and the cloud provider work in sync."
"From my experience, Coralogix has horrible Terraform providers."
"I see room for improvement in Coralogix regarding the cost, as they can reduce the costs for the license."
"The area in Graylog that needs to be improved or enhanced would be the integrations."
"The initial setup was really complex because I did it myself."
"Graylog could improve the process of creating rules. We have to create them manually by doing parses and applying them. Other SIEM solutions have basic rules and you can create and get more events of interest."
"I wouldn't recommend the enterprise version, but as an open source solution, it is solid and works really well."
"The support from the Graylog community is helpful, but they can do better."
"Its scalability gets complicated when we have to update or edit multiple nodes."
"Lacks sufficient documentation."
"Graylog needs to improve their authentication. Also, the fact that Graylog displays logs from the top down is just ridiculous."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The platform has a reasonable cost. I rate the pricing a three out of ten."
"Currently, we are at a very minimal cost, which is around $400 per month since we have reduced our usage. Initially, we were at $900 per month."
"The cost of the solution is per volume of data ingested."
"We are paying roughly $5,000 a month."
"If you want something that works and do not have the money for Splunk or QRadar, take Graylog."
"I am using a community edition. I have not looked at the enterprise offering from Graylog."
"Having paid official support is wise for projects."
"I use the free version of Graylog."
"We're using the Community edition."
"Graylog is a free open-source solution. The free version has a capacity limitation of 2 GB daily, if you want to go above this you have to purchase a license."
"Consider Enterprise support if you have atypical needs or setup requirements."
"You get a lot out-of-the-box with the non-enterprise version, so give it a try first."
