Some features such as device control, firewall management, and file analysis are standalone products that we need to purchase separately. If these features came out of the box within the product, it would be much more beneficial for us. Other providers such as SentinelOne include these features in their base product. We attended a CrowdStrike Falcon event where they discussed some shallow AI features, but we cannot see these in our panel yet. We work with different solutions such as Darktrace and SocRadar, where AI features are automatically displayed in our dashboards after release. However, for CrowdStrike Falcon, we cannot see these features.

Easy to use, but customizations can be complicated to handle
I would suggest others use the product after asking them to consider their use cases. SSO may be a use case for some, and using the product as an IDM tool may be a use case. At the moment, my company is not deploying all the components of ForgeRock itself. My company uses ForgeRock for OAuth 2.0. For example, my company is not deploying the IDM and identity gateway components. You should consider your use case and select the required components for that use case. My company does not use the SSO features of the tool. My company uses SSO to access ForgeRock's AM Console for individual users. My company does not use single sign on features of the product and instead, we use Auth0. I rate the tool a seven or eight out of ten.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The product's deployment phase is easy."
"It helps us to identify the threats according to the behavior of any process that is running on any particular system. It helps immensely to identify any malicious behavior on any endpoints."
"The solution is silent and sits on your system as one single agent."
"The malware protection is the most valuable feature of CrowdStrike Falcon."
"I like the vulnerability assessment and proactive hunting features of CrowdStrike Falcon."
"It's given me a level of confidence that my network is secure."
"I like the dashboard nature of it. Everything is clickable, linkable, and information is easy to obtain and find. How it presents that information is probably the biggest win as far as the information correlation aspect. The presentation of it is very good."
"The initial setup is a very fast process."
"In terms of the tool's operational efficiency, ForgeRock Access Management is used in a lot of environments, different regions, and in different stages of production environments."
"I like the intelligent authentication feature."
"The product is easy to use in a development environment."
"The support is good and prompt."
"Even though we have very small business interests with them today, they see that we plan on growing drastically over the next two years. Therefore, we have excellent support and we are now at a point where we are not calling tech support. We pick up a phone and call the Account Manager and they'll get everything resolved for us. We don't have to queue along with everybody else and go through a long process."
"It works very well, especially in Identity and Access Management. It helps detect anomalies in user behavior patterns."
"The solution's most valuable feature is the authentication for the consumers. The integration with other third-party applications is excellent."
"I like the way it is handling authentication and authorization."

Cons

"There are some areas where some customers would prefer a different service."
"The ability to receive text alerts natively in the console would be kind of cool."
"Some policies in the tool need to be fine-tuned. Customized IOCs need to be improved since they have certain shortcomings."
"Support, particularly related to after-sales and after deployment, could be improved a bit. If you need to connect to support, it takes at least a day to reach the support team and get a proper reply."
"I have worked with their technical support on several problems that were never fully resolved."
"The biggest issue with Falcon as a standalone product is it doesn't have very much reporting."
"A year and a half ago or more, if you put in a support request by email, then it wasn't timely addressed. It could be a day to three days before you received a response, which was a bit frustrating. There was a lot of customer feedback around this issue, which has been greatly refined."
"The solution isn't known in my market. The brand isn't as recognizable. Their shortcomings are more on the marketing side."
"The product's support services in the French language are not free."
"In future releases, I would like to see easier integration with other solutions, like facial recognition and KYC solutions with biometric onboarding."
"The user interface could be improved as it is cumbersome and outdated. It doesn't have a responsive UI."
"In an upcoming release, the solution could improve by limiting the need to do customizations."
"We're worried about the scaling. We're told it will be okay and there won't be issues, however, I'm not 100% convinced."
"The solution's deployment should be made easier."
"ForgeRock is an open source solution and is available to everyone but it is not freeware. If you need support, you need a subscription for ForgeRock. Many of its functionalities need to be built up with the help of a consultant."
"We raised tickets asking for improvements, but sometimes we don't get the proper solution. They are responding, but the ticket is open for weeks and weeks. For some issues, we don't get a satisfactory solution or the solution doesn't work."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We pay between $30-50 per user for a yearly license, which is more expensive than SentinelOne or Bitdefender. However, CrowdStrike gives better value for money."
"I'm not directly involved in sales, so I can't comment on the exact price, but I know the price decreases the higher the quantity we purchase."
"CrowdStrike is a reasonably priced tool."
"There is an annual license required to use this solution."
"There are approximately a hundred different modules you have to purchase, depending on what you want to do. I have most of the modules. How it works is you buy the portfolio, you have to decide all the components you want in it, and then they price out a bundle for you. I have almost all of the package features in my bundle. You only need to pay for the modules you want."
"CrowdStrike Falcon is one of the more expensive endpoint solutions on the market."
"I am not aware of the price, but I believe that it is among the most expensive XDRs out there. Of course, this is dependent on the features you choose. Depending on the features, the price might increase."
"Crowdstrike Falcon is relatively cheap."
"We have multiple clients we are looking at right now. We are at a very small number, however, the idea and the goal is to grow. We are looking at about $100,000 and $50,000 a minimum a month cost. That'd be minimum maybe in a couple of years."
"ForgeRock is an expensive solution."
"ForgeRock's pricing is more competitive than other products."
"The pricing of the solution is fair but I do not have the full details."
"Its price is comparable to other products in the market."
"It's a bit pricey and could be more competitive."
"The license is purchased annually per user. However, you can negotiate if you are signing for a longer period of time. When comparing this solution to others on the market it is priced fair, it is not at the top of the price range or at the bottom end."
"Its licensing is on a yearly basis, but it also depends on the contract that you have with the vendor. They have multiple types of contracts. There are additional costs to the standard licensing fees. If you need some of the features, you have to pay more."
