Provides effective real-time threat detection with potential for cost optimization
Some features such as device control, firewall management, and file analysis are standalone products that we need to purchase separately. If these features came out of the box within the product, it would be much more beneficial for us. Other providers such as SentinelOne include these features in their base product. We attended a CrowdStrike Falcon event where they discussed some shallow AI features, but we cannot see these in our panel yet. We work with different solutions such as Darktrace and SocRadar, where AI features are automatically displayed in our dashboards after release. However, for CrowdStrike Falcon, we cannot see these features.

Easy to use, but customizations can be complicated to handle
I would suggest others use the product after asking them to consider their use cases. SSO may be a use case for some, and using the product as an IDM tool may be a use case. At the moment, my company is not deploying all the components of ForgeRock itself. My company uses ForgeRock for OAuth 2.0. For example, my company is not deploying the IDM and identity gateway components. You should consider your use case and select the required components for that use case. My company does not use the SSO features of the tool. My company uses SSO to access ForgeRock's AM Console for individual users. My company does not use single sign on features of the product and instead, we use Auth0. I rate the tool a seven or eight out of ten.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most valuable feature of CrowdStrike Falcon is its accuracy."
"The malware protection is the most valuable feature of CrowdStrike Falcon."
"The pay-as-you-go model enabled me to deploy quickly from the AWS Marketplace management account, scaled protection for workloads without upfront commitments, and reduced the initial operational overhead."
"I like the vulnerability assessment and proactive hunting features of CrowdStrike Falcon."
"The anomaly detection is the most valuable feature."
"The biggest advantage of this solution for my customers is that it is a single solution that fulfills most of their security concerns while being easy to manage."
"CrowdStrike Falcon has helped my customers predict and prevent potential breaches because of its proactive approach."
"The DLP is the most valuable feature of CrowdStrike Falcon."
"I like the intelligent authentication feature."
"ForgeRock products are customizable, and the out-of-the-box features are solid, too. I primarily use the OIDC compliance features. It's just a configuration. it's easy to set up and customize trees. We can add our own features if necessary. Banks and corporations have different standards and specific validations."
"The most valuable features of ForgeRock are social login and data protection."
"We have found the identity and access management tools in the solution to be particularly useful for our organization."
"ForgeRock has CIAM, which other products didn't have, and they have DevOps ready."
"Their access management solution, OpenAM, is most valuable because it meets the needs of a lot of users."
"The solution's most valuable feature is the authentication for the consumers. The integration with other third-party applications is excellent."
"Easy to navigate, handle and manage the applications."

Cons

"The overall cost of CrowdStrike Falcon could be reduced."
"Some of Falcon's features are a bit pricey."
"For further improvements, I can only think of one example because this is very important for us; they could reduce the price. Then it would deserve a rating of seven."
"Currently, I do not see any tangible benefits from CrowdStrike regarding incident improvement time, response time, or cost saving."
"For CrowdStrike to work, all the machines need to have an internet connection. This makes it challenging to assist customers without an internet connection. We would like to have a mechanism or relay to make this possible."
"The portal can be clunky to navigate at times and has room for improvement."
"Unfortunately, native applications are not supported."
"They don't really have anything when it comes to scanning attachments."
"We're worried about the scaling. We're told it will be okay and there won't be issues, however, I'm not 100% convinced."
"The product's support services in the French language are not free."
"The user interface could be improved as it is cumbersome and outdated. It doesn't have a responsive UI."
"The solution requires more simplified customization. However, part of the problem is my clients determining their own preferences. Technology can help and do many things, but you have to define your own policies to ensure that the solution or service works within those parameters. Helping customers understand their business and different processes is another issue not relating to the functionality of this solution."
"In an upcoming release, the solution could improve by limiting the need to do customizations."
"I think the upgrade process is sometimes a little complicated and there are failures that occur."
"As with any complex software platform, there is a learning curve to using ForgeRock, and it may require specialized expertise to implement and manage effectively."
"The solution's documentation is not very good, and they do not give more details."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"CrowdStrike Falcon is one of the more expensive endpoint solutions on the market."
"Our company pays approximately US$ 65,000 annually for 900 machines."
"The pricing and licensing are reasonable. I don't think we are getting charged more than what it is worth. It is fair, but I do not like how it is a la carte. I realize they do that so other organizations can buy and get the agent, getting it cheaper than you could otherwise. However, if you want the main core package, which has all the main features with the exception of maybe the multi-cloud protections, that can get pricier for an organization. So, you have to pick and choose what you want. I do not care for a la carte pricing."
"The pricing of CrowdStrike Falcon is competitive."
"The pricing is good and there are no costs in addition to the standard licensing fees."
"There is no license required to use this solution."
"CrowdStrike Falcon's price is good."
"We pay 40,000 dirhams per 100 users."
"Its price is comparable to other products in the market."
"ForgeRock's pricing is more competitive than other products."
"The license is purchased annually per user. However, you can negotiate if you are signing for a longer period of time. When comparing this solution to others on the market it is priced fair, it is not at the top of the price range or at the bottom end."
"It's a bit pricey and could be more competitive."
"Its licensing is on a yearly basis, but it also depends on the contract that you have with the vendor. They have multiple types of contracts. There are additional costs to the standard licensing fees. If you need some of the features, you have to pay more."
"The pricing of the solution is fair but I do not have the full details."
"We have multiple clients we are looking at right now. We are at a very small number, however, the idea and the goal is to grow. We are looking at about $100,000 and $50,000 a minimum a month cost. That'd be minimum maybe in a couple of years."
"ForgeRock is an expensive solution."
