When using a Linux App Service or containerized App Services, the logging is not as good as when using the Windows version. The Linux App Service should be more user-friendly, focusing on logging, troubleshooting, and similar features. With Microsoft Azure App Service, it is more difficult with Linux or other container solutions because there are many options. When creating an App Service, you can create it as Linux or Windows. After that, you can choose some stack or use Docker to container. When using Linux with container, the logging functionality is not as robust.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The data table that helps in converting a single script to multiple test cases is very helpful."
"Integration with automation frameworks, keywords, and tags allows for saving time writing test cases and implementing automation."
"Using HipTest makes the testing process easy and its support for Behavior Driven Development helps align all the team members, whether technical or non-technical."
"CucumberStudio aligns with our strategy for data-driven testing."
"Hiptest allowed us to clean up our test campaigns and standardize the way we write test cases and structure our BDD approach."
"CucumberStudio has a very user-friendly interface."
"The most valuable feature is the re-usability of action words."
"The power of Hiptest is its test cases and campaign management."
"The most valuable feature of Microsoft Azure App Service is autoscaling and resource grouping. Additionally, the integration works well, it is easy to do."
"The cost or price of Azure is lower than that of the on-premises version, which is why we might want to implement our solutions in Azure."
"The product is scalable."
"The stability of Microsoft Azure App Service is good."
"One valuable feature of Azure App Service for us is its integration with Azure DevOps, which we heavily rely on in our development process."
"Scalability is straightforward, and you can quickly adjust the resources to meet demand."
"Azure App Service has several features that are valuable, including its scalability and seamless integration with other systems, which support flexibility."
"We are able to do millions of things simultaneously, and Azure maintains and manages the server, which is very helpful because we don't have to, while the microservice architecture is also very good and performance-wise it is the best thing I have ever found."

Cons

"A key area for improvement is to revamp outdated components such as HipTest publisher."
"Yes, it is not stable when you create a data table that includes more than 30 elements, so it can lose your data."
"Another kind of deployment might be useful, perhaps an option to install the tool in a local deployment."
"More tutorials and examples."
"Support with In-App chat is great. However, it would be awesome to have real time support also for PT timezone."
"I would like to see better customer support."
"The reporting and metrics can be improved. E.g.: If we wanted to have metrics across all projects."
"The reporting aspect can be improved."
"The network side needs improvement. It has to be more stable."
"Initially, there were some rare instances when the server went down because it was deployed on Linux."
"The solution can be improved by increasing the number of data centres worldwide."
"There is still room for improvement in terms of the maturity of the solution. Everything is available that we need, but the issue is that they are still upgrading. Even though they have Azure applications and automation services, they still need to mature more. There are many things that need to mature and the road map for this is quite long, taking another three to eight years to have a mature solution."
"If you are not using the product properly, then it can cost you a lot of money. Hence, you need to make sure that you choose the services wisely. You need to make sure that you have a budget and have some alerts associated with it. The tool's cost can easily go high if you don't consider these things properly. You need to review your existing subscription."
"The outbound connectivity is not great but can be improved because, on virtual machines, the Microsoft Azure App Service uses four or five outbound IPs."
"I would like to see some significant improvement in the technical support provision for this solution."
"Sometimes customer service and support can be challenging."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"The pricing and cost of this solution depends on the use and needs of a business."
"Where there are different customer sizes, some customers consume $5,000 US dollars per month. I have some customers who pay and consume more than $20,000 US dollars per month, for example. It is determined by customer sizes and requirements, which vary from month to month."
"The price of the support could improve. It is expensive."
"As you move up the license tiers it becomes expensive."
"The pricing for Microsoft Azure App Service is per hour, and you're billed per hour, and it depends on the plan you're using. Each plan can host up to a minimum of four to eight applications at a time, so the pricing is quite okay with how I use Microsoft Azure App Service currently, but with the little testing I've done, I saw that some other regions tend to be costlier than others. If the same SLE is delivered for all services, there should be a way to make the prices parallel across regions. Having more transparent pricing for Microsoft Azure App Service would give customers more comfort."
"On a scale of one to five, with one being expensive and five being competitive, I would rate this solution as a four."
"We have no complaints about the pricing."
"The price of the solution is high overall."
