Gained full visibility and streamlined threat detection through behavior-based insights and AI integration
Initially, we got to have a lot of false positives when we onboarded, but nowadays it's quite smooth. We have fine-tuned our security policies and allowed different levels of policies to get rid of those false positives. Currently, we are getting a fairly good amount of incidents that are not false positives or benign, but actionable items. The process is streamlined. In the initial days, the operations used to get involved in a lot of benign and other activities, but now the process is streamlined. We are leveraging the auto-detection and remediation plans. The operations teams are now more involved in other business roles as well, not just looking into the logs and fetching out what's happening there. They have fixed a lot of things. Initially, they didn't have IAC code drift detection, cloud posture management, or security posture management, but they have those now. They purchased different vendors and did a merger with that. They have now Prisma Cloud that gets integrated and now they are working with Cortex Cloud. Everything that was negative has now been addressed, and the product altogether looks to be in a very better and mature shape now. Currently, it's more or less detecting the workloads with AI-based best practices. Since most organizations are consuming AI agents and other things, we are looking forward to seeing what other feature enhancements Palo Alto can support in that.

Automation has transformed threat detection and incident response and improves team efficiency
Cynet can be improved by enhancing third-party integrations, improving reporting and dashboard customization, and providing more advanced AI-driven analytics. Customization for automated response workflows would also help organizations tailor the platform to their specific security needs. There is room for improvement in reporting customization, third-party integration, and advanced analytics. I had to spend additional time tuning the alerts during the initial deployment to reduce false positives and align the detection with our environment, but these were minor challenges, and the platform has performed well for our specific needs. Regarding Cynet's AI capabilities, its governance and security capabilities are effective, but greater transparency into AI decision-making and additional customization options would further enhance confidence and control. There is still room for improvement in predictive analytics and better transparency into how certain detections are generated.

Centralized security management has unified risk visibility and enables faster, AI-driven response
Regarding improvements for TrendAI Vision One – Network Security, I think users can take advantage of customized reports. Additionally, clients sometimes find it difficult to integrate third-party open-source integrations, so this area could be improved. Regarding the needed improvements for TrendAI Vision One – Network Security, the deployment guide and migration guide can be better. If clients are migrating, for example, from on-premises to cloud or from one solution to another, the documentation should be more understandable for non-technical teams, helping them decide where to start. I rate it nine out of 10 due to issues with documentation and support for deployment and migration-related activities. Sometimes I find it difficult for clients to understand the requirements for migration. If the guide or documentation is easier, clients can understand it better and decide where to start. In email security with TrendAI Vision One – Network Security, I found one bug related to inbound emails. If we apply attachment policies, such as requiring analysis for incoming email attachments, the AI sometimes flags email signatures as attachments. This issue can lead to quarantining emails without malicious attachments, which is problematic.

Pros

"I generally believe that Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks is probably the best in the market right now."
"In one single alert, we are getting the network telemetry, endpoint telemetry, email security telemetry, and proxy telemetry all in one single ticket, making it very easy."
"I have found the solution to be very easy in respect of the integration and configurable."
"The interface is easy to use and it is more up to date than our previous solution."
"Stability is a primary factor, and then there's the ease of distribution and policy management; Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks is very easy to work with, and we're quite happy with them."
"The product is very good, it has caught a lot of exploits that most products would not."
"Cortex is the best solution for avoiding security breaches, malware attacks, and other kinds of security issues."
"One of the main benefits of the solution is its intelligence to correlate the events into an incident."
"For overall satisfaction, I rate Cynet between nine to ten out of ten, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to other users."
"The product did not utilize much memory or resources from the background, which was a significant advantage."
"The most effective features of Cynet are its ransomware protection and lateral movement deception."
"It provides good protection from ransomware and malware attacks. It is very good as compared to other products. If any threat is there, their support is very good. They immediately respond to the users and do a follow-up. They call us and also provide email support."
"A reliable security system that automatically quarantines anything suspicious."
"As a reseller, I believe the best functions in Cynet's product are the lightweight agent and good detection performance."
"The dashboard is beautiful, overall easy of use, and the UBA and NBA features are valued."
"The level of automation is very good because the majority of the time, it blocks the attacks without requiring anything from our side. The technicians don't have to do anything. They are just alerted about what happened. So, the user intelligence works quite well."
"Trend Vision One - Network Security has positively impacted my organization as our network operations team has found it very useful for monitoring all threats coming in via the network layer and taking swift actions compared to earlier."
"From the single console, clients can see everything, including each log coming from endpoints, networks, emails, and all attack surface configurations, and they can manage everything from a single dashboard."

Cons

"I don't like that they have different types of licenses. For example, if users select a license, they think they will have all the platforms they need to improve their network or security. But after some time, Palo Alto Networks changed their licensing, and some of the features that, for example, were free at the beginning now have a cost. I think the integration can be improved. For example, a lot of tools are just integrated through APIs."
"There's room for improvement with Mac device installations, which can be challenging."
"The solution should offer more dashboards and they should be better customized."
"To jump from the partner to Palo Alto directly was challenging."
"When it comes to core analysis, and security analysis, Cortex needs to provide more information."
"In general, the price could be more competitive."
"Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks could improve by offering remote management. It would be useful to look at the client's issue to fix it."
"Cortex XDR is trickier to configure than other Palo Alto products. This is one area where we are not so satisfied."
"The solution just needs to keep maturing and they need to keep up with the threat landscape to ensure they're protecting clients well as time passes."
"I think the technical support could be better. When I contacted them, I had to wait a week before getting an answer."
"I would like to see more emphasis on building the data lake and storing all endpoint data in the enterprise data lake so that data mining can be performed"
"The solution lacks URL filtering."
"Their support for issues related to the portal or feature problems isn't great."
"Having a DLP feature would add value"
"Automation could be improved, and orchestration could be added to the features."
"Cynet gives a few false positives."
"In email security with TrendAI Vision One – Network Security, I found one bug related to inbound emails. If we apply attachment policies, such as requiring analysis for incoming email attachments, the AI sometimes flags email signatures as attachments."
"Trend Vision One - Network Security can be improved by integrating with the native firewall and bringing in that telemetry feed."

"It costs us 20,000 to 28,000 per year."
"it's not cheap, but I would rate it a three out of ten. If one is cheap and ten is expensive."
