Offers advanced filtering features and benefits from improved licensing and performance
There is a licensing issue with Intercept X Endpoint. Their licenses are user-based. Most of our customers use per device licenses, and they need per device licenses because they use one PC for multiple accounts. This creates a problem. There was one customer who complained about the slowness of PCs using Intercept X Endpoint. They use minor performance PCs, which causes their PCs to become slow.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The solution is easy to use."
"The initial setup of ESET EDR_XDR is very simple, easy to deploy, and manage."
"The thing that I like about it is the synchronized security. You can tie endpoint protection and firewalls and a whole range of other services and products. You can get your servers taken in under this."
"The threat analysis center is nice."
"We most value the price and interface quality with Sophos Intercept X. We focus on solution quality."
"It is easy to change the size of its capabilities, i.e. to expand processes or scale the size of users."
"The most valuable feature is the CryptoGuard in Sophos. In a case of a ransomware attack, this feature comes into action to protect us."
"This product integrates well with Sophos firewalls and should be seriously considered by Sophos Firewall clients."
"This solution is easy to configure."
"This is really good because it's applicable to zero-day threats."

Cons

"The solution could improve how it scours each website."
"ESET EDR_XDR needs to conduct more research and development and innovations in early detection of attacks."
"If Sophos Intercept allows users to restrict website access based on specific needs, such as streaming new videos for business purposes, we would prefer to use that."
"We had some initial problems with our deployment, and they were more around uninstalling Sophos Basic and installing Sophos Intercept X. We had some challenges with some of the uninstallation scripts. They can improve the deployment of Sophos Intercept X when there is already an existing Sophos version. They can also provide more information in the form of best practices and lessons learned from previous findings. A knowledge base with this type of information would be helpful."
"We would like more application control in order to be able to schedule times and access."
"The cloud management console could be a little more user-friendly."
"The initial setup can be a bit challenging."
"The graphical interface could improve. Additionally, adding less expensive mobile device support would be helpful. Other solutions have this feature."
"There are not any solutions that are a 10 out of 10. A 10 would be perfect protection with no impact on the performance of the device. This is not the case, there is some impact on the performance of the device."
"The tool should be made compatible with Linux and Microsoft operating systems."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I rate the solution’s pricing a six or seven out of ten.."
"The price of the solution is average compared to the market."
"There is a yearly payment to be made. For each client, it costs around 15 dollars. There are no additional costs besides the licensing price we pay to use the solution."
"On a per-user basis, my company has to pay a certain amount of money."
"We are happy with the pricing across all Sophos products."
"We renew the license for one year at $10,000."
"The pricing is average for software like this, but you can purchase additional services if you wish."
"Customers need to pay for a license for Intercept X Endpoint based on the number of users and servers they have. The pricing is considered normal and not overly expensive."
"The price of Sophos Intercept X is expensive. The license is paid on an annual basis. There are extra features that can be added depending on the endpoints. The solution is priced twice as much as the Comodo solution."
