Performs well, does not slow down the computer, and protects emails
The quality of protection is very important. The tool must also not slow down the computer. The quality of the user interface and the way the solution is updated must also be considered. The updates depend on certain situations. People who want to use the solution must check how it is working, check the memory, and the processes that are run. We must check if there are any unwanted features. For example, some antivirus tools install other services that are not necessary, and they are frequently updated. It won’t be a problem for a user who has a computer with more RAM, but it will be difficult to use it on an old computer with less RAM. The IT department uses remote features. Sometimes, they change some configurations remotely. Overall, I rate the tool a nine out of ten.

Protects user data and offers data control and has an easy deployment
The most valuable feature is encryption control. If you have a laptop, it guarantees that the data is not missing or lost. It’s easy to deploy and has a central console where you can see whether the laptops are encrypted, updated, and protected. It protects devices, including USB and other external devices, and guarantees data loss protection. Additionally, with device control, you can ensure that no ransomware is introduced into the network. For me, this is of very high value.

"It's quite easy to integrate Safeguard with BitLocker"
"The tool is very safe, reliable, and fast."
"The solution can be easily connected and it is very secure."
"I like its ease of use the most. The management console is really nice. I like having one pane of glass that does everything. It does the Sophos anti-virus and encryption. Everything that you need is in one place. It is easy to use, and it is also pretty fast. It provides some pretty good details, and it lets you know who has access to a file. You can also add additional people to the encrypted documents, which is pretty good. Its stability and performance are also very good."
"SafeGuard's best feature is its stability."
"The user experience and the quality of the features are good."

Cons

"From an admin perspective, the solution's UI could be more user-friendly."
"If you have issues with your network, you can't get updates, which is a problem."
"There should be more frequent updates."
"I would like more robust reporting as part of the Remote Administrator."
"ESET Endpoint Encryption needs to improve pricing and security."
"The solution should have better synchronization with active directory users and passwords for use in the encryption."
"Integration with central management needs improvement."
"I would like to see better compatibility with mobile devices."
"The integration could be a little better."
"Having a DLP integrated with the encryption engine would be very good."
"An area for improvement in Sophos SafeGuard is the pricing. Pricing should be better when adding a new account or scaling the product."
"I cannot think of any improvements right now."
"Once you lock a server, you won't be able to install or put something on that particular server, but on the PC or machines, the lockdown feature is not there, and it is a query our company raised when we had to provide details for Sophos' review."
"There's no centralized management. This is a drawback."
"Sophos should conduct some seminars to teach people how to use it and also to inform the users about what they should do in case of problems."
"The solution is not using other features like booting encryption, because it causes very heavy processing of the workstation. If they could find some way to handle the encryption and decryption to be lighter on the workstation it would be better."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Licensing costs are on a yearly basis."
"Instead of installing ESET on each machine at each location, we just do it remotely. This has been a time saver for us."
"It is neither very expensive, nor cheap. Overall it is affordable and there is a long term arrangement between our company and the solution providers for license."
"There are some inexpensive products compared to ESET Endpoint Encryption, but they lack the essential features."
"ESET Endpoint Encryption is moderately priced."
"On a scale of one to ten, where one is the lowest and ten is the highest, I rate its pricing a two."
"The National University System dedicates 500 of their 5000 licenses to us, which is $14/yr per device. Most companies are paying $99 or $120 per device a year."
"We paid for an annual subscription, and it was reasonable."
"Regarding pricing, it's a middle-priced solution. We typically use Sophos SafeGuard with the Sophos firewall, which includes VPN connections. The cost depends on the number of users, with some customers requiring hundreds of connections and others needing around a thousand."
"The pricing is reasonable."
"The licensing costs depend on the series. For example, XG 85 can be around $200. If you go to ACC or to a four or five-year enterprise solution, you will find these devices can cost $10,000. It depends on the series."
"The pricing is good and now they offer three year and five year plans. After that if one lokes the service they can choose the lifetime service."
"The platform is reasonably priced considering its functionality and adaptability. It is subscription-based."
"I rate Sophos SafeGuard's pricing a five out of ten."
"It's a software license with a one-time purchase. There are no issues with purchasing, and the vendor is flexible with licensing."
"The licenses are dependant on the number of users and computers you have to protect."

What needs improvement with ESET Endpoint Encryption?
My problem is that there's a technical glitch and they don't have a fix for it. It's not working with the latest version of Windows, which is a problem. My hands are kind of tied.
What is your experience regarding pricing and costs for Sophos SafeGuard?

What needs improvement with Sophos SafeGuard?
We need more products to be added in Sophos, such as SASE, which is currently not available. The only drawback I see with Sophos SafeGuard is that it lacks a SASE solution, which is a separate prod...
