Centralized encryption has secured all endpoints and has maintained compliance for remote devices
The best features of ESET Endpoint Encryption include full disk encryption, which is the most used one, ensuring all the endpoints are protected. I rely on this daily. Its main key focus on centralized management lets me monitor, enforce policies, and remediate issues from one console, and it allows for user-friendly deployment. Using ESET Endpoint Encryption has had a clear positive impact on my organization, especially in terms of security operational efficiency. From a security standpoint, I achieved 100% encryption coverage across all the endpoints, which significantly reduces the risk of data breaches due to lost or stolen devices. I also saw a noticeable drop in security incidents.

Integrated security features ensure seamless protection and inspire long-term trust
The reason why I went for Sophos SafeGuard is that it's got every function that I would need for an antivirus or system protection, and another thing that Sophos has done that makes it even more important for me is the synchronized security. There is a policy on my firewall that restricts any system that synchronizes with the endpoint working on all my servers and workstations, and if any system is found to be infected, because it synchronizes with the firewall, the rules drop the packet and alert the IT administrator. Until that system is checked and cleaned, there is no internet access for that system, which alone is a game changer for me. Those developers at Sophos are very innovative, and I don't think they need to improve anything because they are thousands of steps ahead. Before I can think of any feature that should be added, it's already there, and all I get is just a notification that this feature is available, to give it a try and let them know if it is something I want to add. You must understand that every feature comes with a price, not for free. The more features I add, the additions are based on the need; if it's not needed, I am not going to add them.

Pros

"The solution allows me to easily monitor the encryption and password management of multiple computers in my network and gives me visibility into user use."
"The scalability is good, it's perfect, I am satisfied."
"The most valuable feature of ESET Endpoint Encryption is its rate of capturing viruses and malware."
"The initial setup is easy."
"The Remote Administrator is the most valuable feature that ESET offers for us. Centralized management of our ESET environment is what I like about the Remote Administrator."
"The usability is the most valuable feature."
"Using ESET Endpoint Encryption has had a clear positive impact on my organization, especially in terms of security operational efficiency."
"This solution can be centrally managed."
"It's the best solution on the market."
"The solution offers very good performance and the user interface is simple, which makes it very easy to use."
"The most valuable feature is the synchronized security. It's a unique feature on the market at this time only offered by Sophos. As a reseller, we often win bids and get clients because of this unique trademark feature."
"The product filters phishing emails."
"What I love most about Sophos SafeGuard is its user-friendly interface. My company has another software with a complex user interface versus Sophos SafeGuard, which is extremely easy to use."
"I like that Sophos SafeGuard provides excellent technical support."
"The solution is scalable, we have over 500 staff using it."
"The solution can block a virus attack and prevent it from moving across the system."

Cons

"From an admin perspective, the solution's UI could be more user-friendly."
"There could be an option for users to restart the system without a password."
"There are a few areas where ESET Endpoint Encryption could be better. The UX/UI could be more modern, and the management console feels a bit outdated and not very intuitive at times."
"There should be more frequent updates."
"I would like to see better compatibility with mobile devices. Most of the time, people are connecting to our server using their mobile device."
"The initial setup could be made easier."
"The overall compatibility of the device is an area where the solution lacks."
"The solution should have better synchronization with active directory users and passwords for use in the encryption."
"The cost is rather expensive. It's a pain point for many clients. They should work to see if they can reduce pricing."
"Once you lock a server, you won't be able to install or put something on that particular server, but on the PC or machines, the lockdown feature is not there, and it is a query our company raised when we had to provide details for Sophos' review."
"Having a DLP integrated with the encryption engine would be very good."
"An area for improvement in Sophos SafeGuard is the pricing. Pricing should be better when adding a new account or scaling the product."
"If it's possible, they should make all the features available because it's got a lot of features on offer, but you have to buy the license in order to add those features to the normal Endpoint. If they could make all those features available and/or offer a bundling option it would be better."
"It just needs a little bit more on the reporting side. Its reporting can be improved a little bit in terms of being able to know that things are in the right status. I should be able to pull a report to make sure that everything is all right. It could also have cloud integration. At the time I was using it, it wasn't a cloud product."
"When you compare Sophos SafeGuard to Palo Alto and other enterprise firewalls solutions, Sophos doesn't have the same market."
"Pricing is a little more than similar products."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Licensing costs are on a yearly basis."
"Instead of installing ESET on each machine at each location, we just do it remotely. This has been a time saver for us."
"ESET Endpoint Encryption is moderately priced."
"It is neither very expensive, nor cheap. Overall it is affordable and there is a long term arrangement between our company and the solution providers for license."
"On a scale of one to ten, where one is the lowest and ten is the highest, I rate its pricing a two."
"The National University System dedicates 500 of their 5000 licenses to us, which is $14/yr per device. Most companies are paying $99 or $120 per device a year."
"We paid for an annual subscription, and it was reasonable."
"There are some inexpensive products compared to ESET Endpoint Encryption, but they lack the essential features."
"The licenses are dependant on the number of users and computers you have to protect."
"The pricing is good and now they offer three year and five year plans. After that if one lokes the service they can choose the lifetime service."
"We have a yearly license with Sophos which is around $1000-$1200 or so per annum. There are no additional costs beyond the standard licensing fee."
"Regarding pricing, it's a middle-priced solution. We typically use Sophos SafeGuard with the Sophos firewall, which includes VPN connections. The cost depends on the number of users, with some customers requiring hundreds of connections and others needing around a thousand."
"The pricing is reasonable."
"The licensing costs depend on the series. For example, XG 85 can be around $200. If you go to ACC or to a four or five-year enterprise solution, you will find these devices can cost $10,000. It depends on the series."
"The platform is reasonably priced considering its functionality and adaptability. It is subscription-based."
"I rate Sophos SafeGuard's pricing a five out of ten."
